2 Bed Holiday Apartment With Mountain And River Views

The spacious apartment is situated on the top floor of a small chalet style apartment house and has stunning views of the adjacent River Saalach and of the Schattberg mountain and cable car. It is stylishly furnished yet retains the sense of its mountain setting with lots of natural materials such as wood, leather and stone. The apartment house is a short walk (6 mins) from the many amenities of Saalbach village centre and the main lifts. In winter the extensive ski area can be accessed rapidly with the Schattberg lift only 600m away and a ski bus stop only 100m from the apartment building. In summer the excellent outdoor pool complex 'Captain Hooks', is only a 2min walk! The apartment building is directly on the Saalbach-Hinterglemm Promenade, a comprehensive riverside walking/cycling network which links in with many of the mountain bike downhill tracks and walking/hiking routes.

very comfortable apartment in excellent location

We were five people staying in this apartment and found the size and location to be very comfortable. The ski bus was very close, and it was a 7 minute walk into town with no up-hills. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room was a very comfortable size to relax in.

Wonderful week in the snow

The apartment was perfect for our stay in Saalbach as a family. It had all we needed and was close to the ski lifts and supermarket. The check in process was really easy and Paul was really helpful with answering any queries we had. We had a wonderful holiday, thank you!

The location of the apartment is a big positive as it's a short walk into the centre of Saalbach and the ski lifts. Could do with some modernisation but all in all, we had a great time and would recommend.

using ski and boot storage at Schatterbetg express lift is the easy option £15 euros for 6 days secure snd heated boot and ski room this allows an easy walk each day to/ from the apt in walking shoes perfect as a self catering ski option

I expected more

The apartment was a bit disappointing after having high expectations of the good reviews. The distance to the ski slopes was further than was mentioned in the details. Saalbach it self is a great ski area.

Wir sind als Familie verreist. Den Gastgeber oder eine Kontaktperson haben wir nicht kennengelernt. Die Kommunikation erfolgte über eMail. Die hinterlegte Telefonnummer war nicht zu erreichen.Die Schlüsselübergabe geschah durch einen Safe an der Hauswand. Dieser war aufgrund der Vielzahl der Wohnungen nicht eindeutig zuzuordnen. Einen Skiraum gibtves nicht. Die Wohnung war dreckig. Insbesondere der Bereich unter den Betten zeigte uns, dass schon lange nicht mehr gekehrt oder gewischt wurde. Wir fanden eine Brille und Augentropfen. Die lagen im Staub und Schmutz sicher, warm und trocken. Das Interieur war rustikal, bzw.alt. Von uns wurde verlangt, dass wir eine Endreinigung durchführen sollten. Die Parkplatzsituation war angespannt. Fernseher gab es 2. Diese waren jedoch nicht einsatzbereit. Insgesamt war es für den gebotenen Standard sehr teuer. Wir werden für das nächste Mal auf eine andere Wohnung ausweichen.

Good evening Hendrik. Firstly, let me apologise that the apartment dId not meet up to your expectations. Let me address a few of the points that you make. I sent you information prior to your stay which contained a photo of my keysafe to help you identify it easily. Im not too sure why this was insufficient as mine is unlike the other 6 for our small apartment building. I am not sure why I did not recieve a call from you as there is no record of a missed call from your number. I can only apologise on behalf of the cleaning company if they did not clean to your satisfaction. If you had told me at the time and sent me photos the cleaning company would have called you to arrange an extra clean for you. I ask guests to empty the bins/fridge after thier stay As the cleaning company will clean do I am not too sure why you felt yiu needed to clean. The digital input on the tv was indeed broken by the guests from the previous week but I was unable to arrange an engineer to rectify the problem despite my best efforts. Apoligies again for this and you will be pleased to know that there is now a new tv in the apartment. The apartment decor is open to taste snd I am sorry it wasnt to yours! Lots of my guests appreciate the decor and have been kind enough to reflect this in their reviews. If you compare similar properties you will find that mine is extremely competitively priced! I am a little confused by your comment about looking elsewhere for next season as you did ask me, after your stay, if you could book the apartment again for next year. Once again many apologies that you were not fully satisfied with the apartment and I wish you a wonderful rest of the year and a fabulous ski holiday in Saalbach next year.

Schöne Ferienwohnung für den Skiurlaub

Die Wohnung bietet genügend Platz für 4 Erwachsene und ist schön eingerichtet. Besonderes Highlight war für uns die Bar auf dem Balkon. Die Lage ist super: Sowohl Skilift als auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Gastgeber Paul hat sich super gekümmert und uns sowohl im Vorfeld als auch während des Aufenthalts alle wichtigen Informationen geschickt. Kleines Manko: einige Küchenutensilien wie Backblech und Pfanne sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnten einen Austausch vertragen.

Great apartment and location

We stayed at the apartment for a week (4adults and 1 4 year old). It’s a great location with a walking distance to Saalbach. Parking lot outside the house which was very good for us since we drove down from Sweden. Parking is free on the ski resorts with very friendly staff. Paul is very quick on answering questions and helpful. The only negative thing is that the house doesn’t have any good storage for ski boots or skis and the cleaning wasn’t done properly at arrival.

Perfect location

Apartment was the perfect base for a weeks skiing. Everything was spotless and the apartment catered to all our needs. Location was an easy walk from the town centre and Schattberg ski lift. Paul was an excellent host, always quick to respond to any queries (of which I had plenty) we will hopefully return next year and will 100% be booking this Apartment again.

Great stay!

Our family had a great stay at Paul’s place. Located just off the center of Saalbach but close enough to the action. The place is nicely decorated and comes with a modern television set and great wifi. Additionally, the host made sure to check before, during and after our stay if we were in need of anything which made us feel more then welcome. Conclusion: a great hide away with matching value for money worth visiting.
