Owned by 2 leading designers, this stunning private home with four separate suites, large gardens and secluded swimming pool, is located on a quiet residential street in the centre of Franschhoek and is within two minutes walking distance of the village centre and it's award winning restaurants, galleries and shops.
Exclusive use of the property is offered on a self catering basis, and is an ideal retreat for a family or friends, and a perfect base for exploring the beautiful winelands. Cape Town is an hour by car.
★ Short stays of 1 night are possible with a surcharge, and for long stays we are happy to offer discounted rates.

With mountain views, KoKo House is set within a large secluded garden.
The House can sleep 10 comfortably in 4 self contained and air conditioned double Suites (the large South Suite has 2 double beds).
There is also the option to sleep a further two (totalling 12 as a maximum if required) using the Study (with a dedicated shower room & WC) as an additional bedroom.

Fabulous home

Fabulous home in a great neighborhood walking distance to downtown. Beautiful garden, well stocked home and lovely host. Would definitely stay here again.

A wonderful place to stay!!!

We all loved Koko house! The house is beautiful and located in the center of the village; the rooms were spacious, clean, sunny, with all the modern accessories; the kitchen was especially large and well equipped, with room for 13 around the dining room table; the outside space was perfect, both for the morning and afternoon sun; the art was exceptionally wonderful (!) and added elegance to the whole house. We all loved hanging out at Koko House and would highly recommend it to others! Thanks to the owners for giving us the opportunity to enjoy their wonderful home!

Gorgeous Home Centrally Located

We were four couples traveling to the winelands for 4 nights. KoKo House surpassed all of our expectations. It is a gorgeous and well-maintained villa just one street away from Franschhoek's main road--shops, galleries, restaurants. It's worth visiting this villa for the art alone (not to mention the pool and back yard mountain view)! The kitchen was fully-equipped and the daily maid service appreciated. The owner was very responsive (as was the house manager), to include providing valuable information about local restaurants, many of the best within walking distance (Reuben's, Foliage). We were all blown away by the property and highly recommend it.

Gorgeous home with the perfect location to downtown Franschhoek - everything within walking distance

We loved this spacious home with its spectacular setting. Our rental was run smoothly and the location is within driving distance of many of the Cape’s sight seeing spots.

An absolutely amazing dream house

Our expectations for KoKo house were pretty high but we were absolutely delighted and excited on arrival at the prospect of staying in this amazing house. It was warm and welcoming and grand! Several rooms lead to the outside, either a private courtyard with its own water feature or to the magnificent gardens and spectacular pool. Two of the ground floor bedrooms opened out directly to the garden, one directly to the pool and garden. We felt like film stars staying there. If you haven't been to Franschhoek, then you haven't lived. From the house to the high street took two minutes and there we were surrounded by wonderful restaurants, and lots of shops and galleries, and the whole of the wine valley. After a day of shopping and dining, going back to the house just ensured that our wonderful day continued. The bedroom suites in the house were equally grand, comfortable and clean, in fact the whole house was very well kept. We felt spoilt and we can't wait to go back again next year. We would highly recommend it to our friends and family.

A wonderful house

A memorable holiday in an exceptional thatched property set in a quiet location within a short walking distance of Franschhoek's shops, excellent restaurants and art galleries. KoKo House is immaculate inside and out and is tastefully decorated to a very high standard with local art adorning the walls. It offers very comfortable en suite bedrooms. The lounge areas are spacious and comfortable. it is ideally suited and equipped for both small and larger groups. Outside is a good sized pool set in lovely gardens with several areas for relaxing on loungers etc. Not far away are numerous wonderful wine estates and, for those that wish to travel further afield, Cape Town and Hermanus are within easy reach. I will definitely be back.

5 Star House with a 5 Star Service

The House and gardens are exceptional and exceeded all expectations. It had beautifully large rooms and a marvelous pool area. The property was clean, tidy and well maintained throughout the week. The service was great and made the stay problem free and relaxing. I would certainly recommend Koko House. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Franschhoek!!!

A fabulous stay

We stayed at KoKo House in January and were blown away by the whole experience. The house is simply stunning and the attention to detail is second to none. The house is beautiful and we loved the overall style and feel of the place. Our bedroom had the most beautiful aspect and our guests had nothing but praise for their rooms. We particularly loved the gardens and pool area and these provided us with the perfect place to relax and socialise. We have been to South Africa before but have never stayed in Franchoek before this - we will certainly be going back! Tim was really helpful beforehand and gave us great advice on transfers and also restaurant and vineyard recommendations. All in all, this is a stunning property in a fabulous location. We will be back!

Beautiful and comfortable property

I absolutely loved this property. It's so beautifully decorated and fitted out to the highest standard. The gardens are also great and the swimming pool was fab. The location is ideal for exploring this wine region, and is very central within Franschhoek, with lovely restaurant only minutes' walk away. The property had recently been renovated so was in excellent condition. Tim the owner was also helpful with some questions we had, and I would 100% recommend this property.

Beautiful luxurious wine region property

The house is fantastically located in the prettiest wine region village .Walking distance from shops , gallerys and restaurants . Perfectly situated to explore the wine region and easy driving distance ftom Cape Town ,Absolutely beautiful decor very comfortable,luxuorious and well equipped . Fabulous soft water pool . Highly reccomended .

The best house in Franschhoek and the best street.

We stayed in February and saw the final touches being put into the pool and the garden. If anything the owner's description underplayed the house. he listing description accurate regarding the location, layout, facilities, etc? The property has been laid out by the owners who are well known designers in London. so not only is everything wonderful to look at - it all actually works. The owners were helpful and knew the area well and recommended excellent places to eat and to visit. I would recommend the house without reservation. The house is a street back from the foodie villages that is Franschhoek so I can imagine it gets very busy in high season. The house location however means you have parking sorted.
