Tossa de Mar is a nice and welcoming fishing village on the Costa Brava and the Mediterranean Sea. At Tossa de Mar, there is the fortress of Vila Vella with its narrow streets and stairs which have been kept intact. In this fairy-tale castle you can find many excellent restaurants and many shops. The beautiful nature and friendly people make this place a great destination. Tossa de Mar has 3 beautiful beaches, Platja Gran, Platja del Mar Menuda and enclosed by high walls you can find El Codolar. This is a smaller beach that is popular among boaters. The sandy beach of Canyelles can be found a few kilometres away from Tossa de Mar, this lovely beach seems to have been carved out of the rocks.
