Ezmeralda's, a classic 1920' s renovated bungalow, offering 748 sq.ft. of total charm, comfort, coziness, and cleanliness. This two-bedroom fully furnished bungalow includes a fully equipped kitchen. Ezmeralda's accommodates 4 guests comfortably. Children welcome. Excellent for all occasions! Stay with us when participating in events at The Spire, girl's getaway, family vacations, Mom and daughter retreat, couples R & R weekend, solo trip, gathering of friends, " time out" weekend, the list goes on.
A fifteen-minute walk takes you to our historic downtown. Enjoy our small-town atmosphere, along with specialty shops, restaurants, churches, etc. Geneva on the Lake, aka "The Strip" is 4.5 miles, a short 10-minute drive. The Spire Facility and Interstate 90, 2.5 miles from our location. Numerous wineries are within a 10-mile radius, The Grand River, 3 miles away, The Geneva State Park includes a beach, boating, hiking trails, on and on! NE Ohio an excellent area! Come visit us!
~~~Ezmeralda's boasts the charm of a classic 1920's bungalow. The original footprint was kept intact. Newly renovated, this property is a must-see! Your "home away from home!" Our goal at Ezmeralda's is for you to step back, enjoy each other's company and the beautiful surroundings we offer you. This property provides a large lawn area that entertains lawn games, picnics, and such. Our beautiful woodland area sets the mood for your own private outdoor adventure. A unique outbuilding, known as "THE WINE SHACK," is located in the woodland area. Photos of " The Wine Shack" are posted! Check it out! Sip some wine, have a fire, toast marshmallows, explore the woods, read, write, take in mother nature, daydream, do whatever you heart desires!
* Ezmeralda's is artistically filled with vintage treasures and modern touches throughout. A distinctive blend of furnishings and accessories, creating an eclectic atmosphere of "perfectly imperfect! " The sitting room, consisting of 2 walls of windows enhances the room with natural lighting. The cottage wicker furniture calls you in to sit down, put your feet up, and relax. Do some bird watching! Natural lighting embraces all the rooms throughout this bungalow. Two bedrooms, each one provides a full size (double) bed, dressed in new bedding and accessories. Linens, pillows, blankets, etc. are provided. The serene ambiance of these charming bedrooms provides you with a good night's sleep! From the 1920s, the original double drainboard sink completes the fully equipped classic bungalow kitchen. Original hardwood flooring throughout. The bathroom boasts the original 1920's free standing soaking tub, with an overhead shower. Towels, shampoo, soaps, etc. provided. All you need are your personal belongings! This bungalow is a must-see! Come check us out!

Stayed at Ezmeraldas for a getaway weekend with my sister. The cottage was perfectly sized for two people, spotlessly clean, and was extremely well-stocked. The decor was very unique and greatly added to our enjoyment. The grounds are amazing with beautiful landscaping and wooded paths that put this place head and shoulders above the usual rentals. We enjoyed the peace and serenity of the wine shack and fire pit both nights. The location is perfect for going to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. And to top it all off, Jan is about the coolest most interesting host you could ask for. You won’t be disappointed if you book this cottage .

What a magical spot! Calming and quiet outside spaces perfect to relax and enjoy nature. The grounds are very well designed . High School Reunion celebration!

Two of my high school friends and I wanted to celebrate our reunion in Ohio at the wineries but were unsure of where to stay, as this was our first visit to the Geneva-on-the-Lake area. After doing some research, we came across Ezmeralda’s and could not have been happier with our choice. Jan and Joe both extended warm hospitality and their cottage could not have been nicer. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and Jan’s creativity and attention to detail was nothing short of amazing! We hope to come back again soon and will highly recommend this property to other friends and family.

Serenity for the Soul

Beautiful home and property, as well as hosts. Second time here and planning next trip. Everything you could possibly want or need in a perfect location. The interior is warm and welcoming. The gardens and firepit area are inspiring. There are lots of things to do nearby, but we came to relax and recharge and I feel better than I have in months.

My hometown is Latrobe, Pennsylvania. I moved to this area in 1980 with the intent of staying a few years and here it is, I am still here. I am at my best being outdoors no matter what the weather may be. I purchased this 1920's bungalow in 2010. It was due for demolition with the city. I purchased this property with the same intent, demo and simply expand the footage of my yard. Once inside and exploring, the foundation was solid. My plans for demo changed to renovation. The renovation became a labor of love. Keeping to the original build of the 1920's, renovation took a little over 2 years due to my work schedule. My companion, Joe Marte, was very instrumental renovating this property as well. Sharing Ezmeralda's with guests is a dream come true! Ah, the name...Ezmeralda's. Let me tell you, very simply. Ezmeralda is the nickname given to me by my beloved Mom. It only seemed right. I'm sure she would have approved!

Why they chose this property

I purchased this property in 2010. Living next door, I remember always wishing that I would love to be its owner. Although fairly neglected in the 20+ years of living next door to this property, I could see "her" potential. When it became available in 2010, I was elated. It took approximately one year to "close the deal" and in the end, everything worked in my favor, and I became the owner of "The Blue house on Sherman", now known as... Ezmeralda's. This bungalow gave me the opportunity to channel my creativity and indulge in my passion for vintage finds, antiques, flipping flea market treasures and putting it all together! It is whimsical and you can sense a light touch of magic in the air. Come, you will love what you see!

What makes this property unique

Although this property is located in the city and minutes away from many attractions in this area, Ezmeralda's offers a very private, rural setting. Enclosed on 3+ acres, the wooded area in the back of the property is breathtaking. An outbuilding, known as "The Wine Shack," overlooks the ravine. The name says it all ... sip a glass of wine. Stroll woodland pathways. What did you discover? Truly a unique setting on this property! The Wine Shack includes outdoor furniture, a picnic table and use of the fire pit. Just outside the back door is the garden shed and patio. A patio table and chairs are located in this area along with a gas grill / utensils for your use. Our front porch is a cozy sitting area as well! Come... you are going to enjoy this bungalow and all that it has to offer.
