Hidden Gem
As my ten year old son said, this place is a ‘hidden gem’! It has the most beautiful yard, with lots to slow down and look at. The kitchen is a nice size and everything you need to make a lovely meal. I always appreciate it when, like this place, they leave you a bit of vinegar, oil, s/p and coffee to get you started! There is a nice little store around the corner to get everything you need, including a yummy apple cake made by the store owner if you get up early enough to get! We spent the days exploring the area, Corte Cadtle was a favorite for everyone and a really yummy lunch at the Pink Goat in town. Kimmerage to look for fossils and eat ice cream while being windswept, Sandbanks for sun and putt putt golf, Knoll beach for SUP, Swanage for pasties and crabbing. It’s everything you need for a perfect week away! The beds are fantastic, it was so nice to have a washer and dryer, especially coming back from the beach. A nice bbq outback for use as well. We even used the fireplace one chilly night! Thanks again Sarah for the use of your lovely home, we all really enjoyed ourselves!

Excellent location for all attractions in and around Studland. Village is a gem.
Very much enjoyed our stay at Studland. Despite the weather (windy and rainy), still found plenty to keep us occupied. Outstanding location for walks along the beaches, on Godlingston Heath, and along the top of Ballard Down. Also, close to Thomas Hardy cottage and house. Village also has a well-stocked village shop. Highly recommend a stay here.

Perfectly located house for small children
The cottage is lovely inside and spotlessly clean. Everything you need is provided and the owner was very easy to contact and left details of heating etc. The grandchildren loved the garden and the bunk beds too. Just a short walk to South beach and a good little shop and popular pub with great sea views.

My family and I have loved Studland from our first visit and have been every year since. We just love the coast line and gentle waters that allow for a relaxing time for all. My husband grew up on the east coast of South Africa and desperately wanted to find a place in the UK that offered the same. Studland does this with ease as it offers sandy beaches that allow for lovely long walks, safe swimming and rock pools for exploring. We are an outdoors family that enjoy getting out - whether that be on our bikes, a hike or simply enjoying a day on the beach. Convenience is a must for a family with young children and we certainly find Studland and Swanage offer the perfect mix. There are great pubs close to the house and a number of lovely restaurants in nearby Swanage.

Why they chose this property

Location is fantastic with the beach only a short stroll away. We also have the heath walk that literally starts across the road. It is very quiet and tranquil and offers a home from home. One of our favourite things is enjoying the log fire in the evenings. The property has the benefit of a secure rear garden and a lovely front garden. We feel like we are in a different world whenever we stay and just love being here.

What makes this property unique

Our children think that South Beach (a very short walk away - even with said children!) is the greatest ever with all the beach toys they keep for children there.

With the National Trust owning most of the land around Studland, walkers and nature lovers are spoilt with long, sandy beaches, a forest full of deer and the far-stretching views of the heath.
