Enjoy your Beach vacation at Mackerel Lane! Close to the ocean 0.3 mi. Quick and convenient beach access with bathrooms is right up the street. Most household items are provided. Comfortable and plenty of room for the family. Each bedroom has a private full bathroom. Super fast WIFI. EV charger access upon request. Kitchen is supplied with everything you need to cook and large dining area has plenty of seating. Queen sleeper sofa in living room. This house sleeps 8 in beds comfortably + 2 if using sleeper sofa. Maximum is 10 guests (extra guest fees may apply) 6 adults max. Plenty of room for all the children to sleep in the kids room or in extra twin beds in all rooms. MUST BE 25 or older to rent. NO pets. NO smoking. 0.3 mile to Beach access/Ocean! (Alabama Ave public access has 2 parking lots, showers and bathrooms) Mackerel Lane is very clean and well maintained. Furnished front porch. PARKING AVAILABLE FOR 2 big or 3 small CARS.
100% REFUND for cancellations due to weather, storm systems, sickness or travel concerns up until stay date guaranteed. I will not keep your money if you cannot keep your reservation. Policy states 14 day cancellation but as owner I can choose to refund up until your stay date. No stay No pay.
Nice furnishings, hardwood, granite, tile. Lower level has bedroom with queen bed (twin sleeper chair) and full bath with tub/shower. Main floor has large living room with sleeper sofa and a love seat. There is no bedroom on main living floor. Kitchen, half bath and laundry room with washer and dryer on main floor. Upstairs has a "kids room" with twin over full bunk with twin trundle. This room sleeps 4 and has a full bath with tub/shower. Kids room has a smart tv. Primary suite- king bed, twin daybed, private balcony, bathroom has a large whirlpool tub and shower. Ground floor has queen bed and a twin sleeper chair. Outdoor shower and ground floor entrance through gate on side of house. NO cable tv. Driveway parking for 2-3 cars only. No on street parking. Unfortunately due to cleaning procedures I cannot offer early check in or late check out during PEAK summer season. Don't hesitate to ask if you have requests for your stay. I would like to provide as much as possible so you can pack less.

Overall, the property was very nice. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again, given the opportunity. The furniture was comfortable and unlike other properties we have stayed at, it was all sturdy and functional and it was well matched. For you EV drivers, there's a 14-50 plug, make sure you bring your charging cable. We had a minor check-in issue but was very quickly remedied with a couple of phone calls.

Great weekend

This beach house in Kure Beach is a perfect retreat! Stylish and spacious. Direct beach access requires a 7-minute walk, but it’s worth it for the beautiful sand and surf. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The deck and outdoor space are great for relaxing and dining. Communication with Margaret was excellent—she was responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will return!

Relaxing stay in a quiet neighborhood!

The Mackerel Lane townhouse was a great getaway for us! Set back just far enough in a quiet neighborhood, but also just a few short minutes walk to the public beach access! The townhouse was clean, well appointed, and well stocked! Margaret was accommodating, welcoming, and very easy to communicate with! The location was super convenient! Nearly all points of Carolina and Kure beach are reachable in an easy 10 minute drive. I should also note that Margaret was accommodating of our PHEV and allowed us to charge during out stay. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and would absolutely stay there again!

Summer Family Vacation

Our stay was wonderful! The property was very nice with plenty of room for all. The owner and property manager was easy to communicate with and prompt to answer our questions. The location to the beach was great. It’s about a ten minute walk, but we would pack up for the day and make the trip to spend several hours or more at the beach each day. There are public restrooms and showers by the beach. It’s a great set up. Tons of great local area restaurants to check out in the area, too! We had so much fun and things to do that we didn’t turn on a television once during our ten day stay. We’ll be back. Loved the property, Kure and Carolina Beaches, and the place in general! Hope to return!

Great location and well appointed house

I took my high school senior and five of his friends to the beach for a long weekend to celebrate their graduation. The house was set up well for friends or family who don't mind sharing rooms and/or beds. The house is in very good shape and nicely decorated but not overdone. The kitchen had a ton of resources though some of the items in the cupboards were dirty, so we had to clean a bit to prepare food. Definitely bring your own pillow if you're a challenged sleeper as the pillows were very thin/flat. But the mattresses were comfortable and the linens were fine. The bedrooms could use blackout curtains, but that's more of a personal preference from someone who needs a very dark room to sleep well. 😂 Very comfortable living room for socializing and playing games. Communication with the host was easy and clear. Margaret was very responsive each time I messaged and in advance of the trip. It's a very easy walk to Kure Beach, and the neighborhood felt friendly. Rinsing off using the outside shower and waterhose was easy upon returning to the house after being at the beach. All in all, a great place to stay, and I'll likely return with my husband and two other kids at some point.

Home Away From Home

We stayed here for a week in the spring and my children could not wait to come back. It’s perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood but still close enough to the beach access and boardwalk. The house is always pristine in it’s cleanliness and the comfort cannot be matched. The owners are exceptional with their communication. We could not ask for a better home away from home to stay in.

Great Home and Beach Location!

Family trip from Idaho to North Carolina to drop off some family members at Duke University. There were 6 of us and we had never experienced the North Carolina Coast. We feel fortunate that we were able to find this home! It was only a few blocks from the beach and had plenty of room to spread out for all of us. Carolina Beach and Kure beach were both amazing. We would definitely stay at this property again!
