Location, location

An excellent location for all local amenities, including bus stop and boat to St. Tropez. The house was fabulous, comfortable furniture and very well equipped kitchen. It was also very clean and well cared for. Nadine was a super hostess, very kind and welcoming and had lots of local knowledge. We were able to easily explore St. Maxime and St. Tropez. Also use the bus to the station at St Raphael and catch the train to Nice and Monte Carlo, much easier than going by car. We would definitely stay with Nadine again.

We absolutely loved this cottage. It is ideally located in the centre of town with nearby shops, restaurants and bars in walking distance. Also, having a marina parking pass was wonderful! We didn't waste time looking for spaces!! The house was spotlessly clean and there were many items left for us, dish soap, laundry detergent, sugar, etc. We spent one week there but hope to go back soon for two or three weeks. Unfortunately misleading

It’s a shame when a picture doesn’t match the description and the descriptions don’t match the realities. We were so looking forward to our stay here but when we opened the front door and were shown the inside, had we the opportunity of going somewhere else we would have done so. We made the most of it but nobody should be put in this position. Firstly from the picture you’d imagine sitting on your patio enjoying a relaxing drink but unfortunately there is no patio or outside sitting area at all. What is shown is a collapsible picnic table and chairs placed directly on the street pavement outside the front door of the house on a busy street . More importantly let’s now deal with the total misinterpretation of the property itself. There are 2 bedrooms #1 is at the top of the most dangerous set of stairs I have ever seen at either a private home or anywhere else. Somebody is going to get seriously injured negotiating them, be afraid. The shower and bathroom here are good but remember this is the only shower in the house and accessible only by climbing those stairs. Two of our party could not climb the stairs and so could not shower for the length of our stay. The description said there are a total of 3 toilets, there aren’t only 2 and 1 shower. A/C only available in the upstairs bedroom. Bedroom #2 is downstairs off the living room. and consists of 2 single beds. Toilet #2 is off the living room and that’s it for toilets.

Schöne und relaxte Zeit in Sainte-Maxime

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, das kleine Ferienhaus ist mit viel Liebe und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Lage in der Altstadt ist super und man hat einen wundervollen Blick auf den Hafen und das Meer, sehr schön war es auch vor dem Haus sitzen zu können und die entspannte und schöne Atmosphäre zu geniessen. Nadine und Marc sind sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder..

Tolle Wohnung im Zentrum...

Die Wohnung war toll. Es war alles notwendige da. Das Internet war schlecht. Nicht mal 1 mbit. Liegt daran, daß der Router ein Stockwerk höher liegt, in der Wohnung der Vermieter. Da man vor der Buchung wußte, daß es draußen nur einen Sitzplatz auf öffentlichem Grund gab, waren wir nicht überrascht, daß es draußen keine Privatsphäre gab. Die Fußgänger gehen 1 Meter entfernt vom Tisch vorbei und begutachten das Essen. Die Vermieterin war 1A Spitzenklasse. Der Ort St. Maxime ist toll, aber nur etwas für reiche Menschen. (sind wir nicht) Zu zweit "Plat de jour" locker 70 Euro + Getränke.....für ein kleines Mittagessen! Letztlich braucht man hier kein Auto. Bis auf Hin+Rückweg zum Flughafen. Wir bedanken uns herzlich bei den Vermietern. Solche lieben Manschen trifft man nicht oft vor Ort. Liebe Grüße Gaby & Jürgen

A cosy home in the heart of Ste Maxime.

Thank you to Nadine and Marc to instantly making us feel welcome and at home. Prime location next to city center and port. Free parking at the port with a badge was a plus point. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Great size living room. We recommend this rental and look forward to staying there again.

Schöne Tage in Saint Maxime

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt bei Nadine und alles so vorgefunden, wie beschrieben. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Lage mitten in der Altstadt und nah am Hafen ist perfekt und die Parkkarte für den Hafenparkplatz wirklich sehr praktisch. Nadine ist außerordentlich nett und wir können uns sehr gut vorstellen wieder zu kommen. Merci beaucoup!

Gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung

Die Ferienwohnung hat eine gute Lage. Alles kann per Fuss erreicht werden. Die Wohnung ist mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Der im Preis inbegriffene Parkplatz am Hafen ist nicht weit weg und wirklich eine gute Sache. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und behilflich bei allen Fragen.

A lovely base in Sainte Maxime

We had a fabulous 5 night stay in this beautiful little house in Sainte Maxime. The house is very well located in a peaceful street behind the main church opposite the port. Lots of great restaurants in the area and everything you need is within walking distance. Tenants are given a parking car allowing them to park in the port car park which is incredibly useful and saves a great deal of money. Inside, the house has a very nice feel. Simply furnished and very welcoming. Everything is very clean and tidy and the kitchen is well equipped. We had a great time here and are coming back in July. The couple that own the house are absolutely charming!

Gite bien équipé et très bien situé avec les avantages et inconvénients de cette localisation

Gite bien équipé (bémols : manque la télévision dans la chambre et grand "meuble-cave à vin" du propriétaire dans la salle à manger) et bien situé. Avantage : on pose la voiture et on peut tout faire à pied, rues piétonnes à coté, plage du port à 5mm, animations sympas le soir. Inconvénient : très bruyant (beaucoup de passage le soir, les livraisons du restaurant d'à coté le matin). Nous sommes venues avec de grands enfants, mais s'ils avait été petits, nous aurions trouvé l'escalier intérieur très dangereux et la fenêtre de l'étage très basse et sans barre de sécurité.

I got married in 1975 and I have 2 children; one is 35 years old and the other one is 19 years old (yes! It was our gift for our 20th wedding anniversary) and two grandchildren. My husband has been retired since last year and I take care of my family, the house and our rental.

Why they chose this property

The house is very well located close to all the shops: bakery, book store, and newsstand. The port is just in front of the house from where you can go to St. Tropez, Porquerolles or Port Cros. There is a water shuttle every 20 minutes. It is in a calm location, protected by the church and by the Tour Carrée (square tower), cultural heritage of the city.

What makes this property unique

I fell in love with this ancient fisherman’s house in the heart of the village in 1993. Its thick walls offer a pleasant temperature in summer as well as in winter. The house is distant from the noise, the cars and the crowds. It is in a calm location, from where you can go on foot everywhere in the city because we are close to all the shops, restaurants, grocery stores, real estate agencies, pharmacies, doctors, haberdashery, and an ice cream parlour. The pedestrian streets that are a 5 minute walk away are busy in summer with craftsmen and painters, the covered market, the environment of the village, the church, the square tower which is a heritage of Sainte Maxime, view to the port and the sea. 5 minute walk away from the beach in a calm location. You do not need a car; you can do everything on foot. The “Théâtre de la mer” organises spectacles with great artists, songs, dancing, cinema, and theatre, all of this outdoors, it is a real paradise. Come to discover Sainte Maxime.
