Batticapo di Ilaria is a wonderful stone cottage, set on the hills between Lucca and the sea, surrounded by olive trees, with a swimming pool, which set in earth (7 x 4 m, depth: 1.30m) and which is at the exclusive use of the guests. A perfect choice for families with children or guest travelling with pets. For couples looking for privacy and quietness and for lovers of strolls on the green hills – guests will have the possibility to discover the surroundings on foot or by bicycle.
Tourist attractions and things to do!
In the surroundings: Driving down to Camaiore you will easily reach the coast with its well-known beaches such as Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore and Forte dei Marmi. The characteristic city of Lucca as also all the other important art cities of Tuscany as also the airport of Pisa are within a quick reach.
Guests may enjoy their outdoor life to the top – making strolls in the green hills, excursions along the pilgrim road “Via Francigena” and taste local specialities in one of the restaurants of the area.

The house is beautiful and we slept very well. We spent a wonderful week's holiday in this beautiful home. We went eating at Cecconi, based on the owner's advice, it’s was really nice. The location of this house on top of a hill, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, is wonderful and wonderfully peaceful. Our days were a mix of exploring the area and relaxing and having fun at home. The owners are friendly, kind and hospitable people. A warm welcome, excellent communication, with instructions, advice on what to do, etc. Our week flew by, thank you for everything and see you soon!

The stay at Casa Ilaria was super. Cottage is fully equipped and is an oasis of peace. Exactly what we were looking for. Lucca is a wonderful and beautiful city which makes it even more fun. Highly recommended for everyone. Hostesses (mother and daughter) are very hospitable helpful and pleasant to communicate with. In short; superb and worth repeating.

Die fünf Sterne gibt es vor allem für die traumhafte Lage und die Qualität des Hauses. Alles wurde mit hochwertigen Materialien renoviert. Auch mindestens fünf Sterne gibt es für die sehr zuvorkommende und persönliche Betreuung. Wenn wir etwas gemeldet haben, war sofort jemand da. Die Ruhe und die herrliche Umgebung ist ideal für Naturliebhaber (lange Spaziergänge) und Familien mit Kindern (Swimmingpool, Tischtennisplatte u.v.m.). Wenn dann mal Kultur angesagt sein soll: Lucca und Pisa sind in greifbarer Nähe. Wir waren in einer eher nassen Herbstwoche (Heizung wurde benötigt und funktioniert tadellos - kostet aber recht viel!!) hier. Auch wenn das Wetter nicht gut war: wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr geniessen können. Hinweis am Rande: das eigene Auto sollte nicht zu breit und lang sein: die Auffahrt ist z.T. recht eng. Als Maximalgrösse kann der 5er BMW genannt werden.

Batticapo Di Ilaria

Nach einem sehr herzlichen Empfang durch Ilaria haben wir uns sofort wohl gefühlt in dem schönen und wirklich sauberen Haus. Selbst den Pool konnten wir trotz der späten Jahreszeit noch jeden Tag nutzen. Auch der war, wie das ganze Anwesen, sehr gepflegt. Wir haben zwischen Pool, Strand (ca.40min),Lucca und Camaiore gewechselt und uns dabei prima erholt. Wir werden gerne mal wieder kommen und wünschen Ilaria mit Familie alles Gute.
