Este novo apartamento de luxo ski situa-se junto às pistas de esqui do tradicional Savoyarde aldeia de Les Houches, entrada para o Vale de Chamonix, no pé do Mont Blanc. É praticamente ski in ski out com os teleféricos Teleférico de Bellevue e elevador de cadeira Coupe de Monde 150 metros mais o autocarro parar de dar acesso à escola de esqui FSE e do grande número de outras áreas de esqui no vale de Chamonix. Totalmente equipado e mobilado com um alto padrão com TV HD. Acesso Wi-Fi gratuito no apartamento. Dentro de 150 metros existem três excelentes restaurantes, três bares e uma boa selecção de lojas. Se você faz parte de um grupo maior, temos ligações com outros proprietários de apartamentos em Chalet Whymper. Nós podemos colocar você em contato com eles e assim atender a grandes partidos todos no mesmo edifício. Excelente localização para actividades de férias; mountain bike, ciclismo, caminhadas, passeios pedestres, rafting, montanhismo, escalada (interior e exterior) e parapente.

Amazing stay

The property is absolutely brilliant, walking distance to anything that is important: ski lift, bars, supermarket etc. The property had everything you could need and was super clean. Janet was super helpful as a host, providing all information before arrival, but then left us to it during out stay. She was always there when we needed her. Thank you so much - I would highly reccommend.

Excellent

A very nice apartment that was an ideal home-base away from home and that was perfect for exploring the Chamonix Mt. Blanc area. We would definitely like to stay there again when revisiting the area (which we most certainly will). Janet was super helpful, extremely quick in her responses and a very reliable host. Thanks for letting us stay in your wonderful cosy very well equipped and clean apartment.

Wymper Apartment

The owner provided a very good service right down to the last detail, The apartment was very well equipped every thing you could possibly need, clean and high spec. close to the cable car. Leave your car in the underground garage and use the local bus service. Would highly recommend this apartment. The Wymper apartment is what every holiday apartment should be. A joy to go back to after a hard days skiing.

Week commencing 19th Jan 2008

Thanks for an enjoyable week at Chalet Whymper. This is an excellent modern apartment one minutes walk from the bellvue cable car in Les Houches. There are several bars and two good supermarkets nearby along with good transport links to Chamonix (15 mins away by bus). There is also a night bus from Chamonix 9.30 pm and 11.20 pm depatring across the road from the hotel alpina (2 euros pp). Les houches is a great ski area particularly for beginners, more advanced skiiers will probably find two or three days here is enough, but the apartment is well positioned for getting to the other ski areas of chamonix. Overall a great holiday. Recommended. John

Family half term skiing holiday In Les Houches

Lovely cosy apartment in an amazing location, which even if you don't want to ski has plenty of beautiful walks and things to do. Apartment is really well equipped with everything you need it’s really lovely we will definitely book again. Was absolutely perfect for us as a family.

Chalet Whymper: one bedroom apartment in Les Houches

Lovely well equipped apartment with underground garage space , ski locker and bbc tv via Freesat. Close to base of Bellevue gondola, bars, restaurant, shops and ski hire rentals. The main living/kitchen/dining room glass doors overlooking the slopes is sited directly opposite an adjacent chalet so privacy is somewhat compromised. The local supermarket is excellent but a little too far to walk if doing a big shop and having a rental car really helped us.

One of the best properties we've stayed in

The whole experience of this property was exceptional. We've stayed in a number of properties over the last decade and we rarely bother to review because, while generally the standard is high, they're all very similar. From the beginning Janet's communication was superb, before booking our questions were answered quickly and clearly, after booking Janet was very proactive at providing all the information we needed and our arrival went very smoothly precisely because of the clear instructions and information. Upon arrival the apartment was in excellent condition, it was clean and well equipped and we were particularly impressed by the homely feel. There are a number of folders in the apartment with local information, very thoughtfully separated into English and French language, and similarly the TV was equipped with both English and French speaking channels, an unusually nice thought. All facilities were superb, the shower was exceptional, the washing machine was huge, the basic consumables were well provided and the WiFi even worked (unusual in our experience!) There is covered parking with the apartment which we found extremely useful and both the external and internal garage door were tall enough for a normal estate car with a roof box. I do not think a large vehicle (e.g. large 4x4) would fit with a roof box fitted but should be fine without a roof box. The walk to the Bellevue lift is short (maybe 300m easy walk?) and around the same area are the usual French village shops (boulangerie, pattiserie, etc). There are a fair choice of ski shops around the Bellevue lift but our recommendation would be to walk up the hill a little (away from the lift) to Skimium, which is cheaper, better equipped and covers more sports (e.g. snowboard and snowscoot) than the mainstream hire shops. Thank you Janet for the excellent accommodation, we hope to be back in the coming years.

Good location, well equipped and very easy from Geneva

Very helpful owner. Well equipped. Compact for 5, but we were expecting that. Dead easy for the ski bus and for he the local lift. We found getting a ski locker at the Prarion lift invaluable for the kids lessons.

Fabulous apartment in best location

Just back from a fabulous stay in this apartment , it is equipped with everything you could possibly need, Janet has taken a great deal of time to leave clear instructions on how everything works to make staying here a pleasure. Great views of the mountains and is the perfect location with everything right on the doorstep , ski hire , restaurants , bars , shops Chamonix bus and the Bellevue cable car . Look forward to staying here again .

Great apartment.

Apartment is close to everything you need for a family ski holiday. I can only imagine that it would be an amazing place to stay during the summer too. Owners made the experience even easier with great communication and info for our stay.

Just right!

We loved this apartment. It was immaculate and beautifully furnished with state of the art appliances and everything one could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable and our teenage son was quite happy with the sofa bed. The location was also perfect for us, since we chose not to rent a car, as it was just a short walk to the Bellevue cable car lift and Chamonix stop and a somewhat longer walk to the grocery store. Janet left very helpful, detailed and illustrated step by step instructions for all appliances and electronics. We also enjoyed the convenience of the ski locker.

Nice apartment in central location.

Nice apartment in good central location. We spent some great days. Unfortunately snow conditions didn't allow to do much skiing, but the kids had much fun on the ice rink and climbing hall close by. And happy to come back anytime ... when we are blessed with more snow.

Appartement très agréable

Très beau séjour aux Houches dans ce beau chalet très chaleureux et fonctionnel. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié son côté pratique. Tout est facile car tout est bien expliqué et rien n'a manqué à notre confort. Merci Janet pour votre sérieux, votre réactivité et votre gentillesse. Hi, my name is Janet, husband JP, then the children: Hannah, Brittany and Oliver (who are twins). We live in a seaside town on the south coast of England enjoying all the activities the South Downs have to offer. However, whenever we can we like to swap the rolling Sussex hills for the spectacular mountains of Chamonix. All the family love hiking and skiing (although Britt is a snowboarder) and the twins are keen climbers. For us Chamonix is the perfect year round destination and still, after almost 15 years of holidays there are still new hikes for us to discover and enjoy, not to mention ski resorts in neighbouring valleys.

Por que motivo escolheu este alojamento?

What we love about this property is how close it is to all the amenities; ski lifts, restaurants, bars, supermarket, and of course the fabulous bread shop. I love the views – sitting with a cup of tea at the end of the day looking out over the ski runs and down the valley to the Fiz mountain range. Or, on the bedroom balcony catching a sunset over the Aiguille du Midi.
It’s also just a short bus, train or car ride into Chamonix where you can enjoy the hustle bustle, myriad of shops, restaurants, casino, bowling alley, night clubs, and bars (many with live music). This year we enjoyed listening to a Columbian Salsa band at the Club des Artistes, and saw the local ice hockey team “Les Chamois” win an eventful match against Brest.
