Great property in a lovely location that exceeded our expectations.

Our family had a wonderful holiday, weather was fantastic, location was excellent. So much to see and do in this remarkable area. Walking, canoeing, sightseeing aplenty. Food great but perhaps more expensive than we had first thought. The property was excellent and we were well looked after by Pat Fentan and Michelle. The outside eating area and the BBQ were our favourites with evening meals not starting until after 8 o'clock and lasting until after 10! Beware the mossies though!!! The pool at the rear of the property kept the sun until nearly 9.00pm and was a very relaxing area with sunbeds, chairs and a handy table. The toilet and shower room was very modern and met our needs. There was ample space and the kitchen provided all you should need but perhaps a large bread knife and some larger glasses would noy have gone amiss. Saturday market in Pezanas is verytraditional but the small artisan shops there are exceptional. Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert was another stand out destination but very busy at weekends, great place to book your canoe trips. Exceptional walks at Cirque de Navacelles and Cirque de Moureze but beware the late afternoon heat it easily got into the mid 40's. I would definately go back.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour d'une semaine avec notre petite-fille qui a bien profité de la magnifique piscine privative.L'appartement situé en rez-de-chaussée de la villa est spacieux et parfaitement aménagé.Nous avons également pu bénéficier d'un jardin privatif ombragé et très agréable en période de canicule.John et sa famille nous ont accueilli très chaleureusement. Nous les remercions d'avoir accepté la présence de notre petit yorkshire.Nous recommandons vivement cette charmante location dont nous conservons l'adresse pour y revenir une prochaine année.

Tres beau gite spacieux, confortable et bien équipé. La piscine est grande et tranquille. Le lieu est central pour decouvrir l’arriere pays de l’herault. Michelle la fille des propriétaires qui s’occupe du gite est tres sympathique. Nous avons passé un tres bon séjour

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé d'agréables vacances. Merci à l'accueil chaleureux des propriétaires. Très bien situé, et la location ne manquait de rien. Nous avons des conseils pour les visites, super sympa. On a eu très chaud, heureusement la piscine est bien agréable.

séjour en famille avec pmr et bébé

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable! à l'arrivée, nous avons été accueillis par Patricia qui parle exclusivement anglais (heureusement nous nous débrouillons un peu), sa fille Michelle parle bien français mais n'était pas là à ce moment. Logement très joli, fonctionnel et très propre. Place de parking privée près du logement, avec terrasse ombragée privée également. Le top! Nous avions un bébé de 6 mois, le lit et la chaise haute étaient fournis, pour changer la couche nous faisions ça sur notre lit ou sur la table de cuisine. Niveau PMR, la douche est bien adaptée, en revanche l'accès à la piscine se fait via un escalier en béton, pas forcément accessible en fauteuil. Piscine bien grande et bien entretenue, avec le petit plus: une bouée pour bébé! Nous y étions seuls à chaque fois. Le village est petit mais très joli, il y a tout ce qu'il faut. Pour finir, nous avons passé une semaine très agréable, dans un logement très sympa et des hôtes aux petits soins!

Great location and helpful hosts

The gite is positioned really well for exploring this spectacular region. Easy to get to the sea, the Canal du Midi and the medieval villages and gorges in the Cevennes. The house was spacious and lovely to come back to the pool after a long day. The kitchen was very well equipped, English TV was an undxprcted bonus and Pat and Fintan were so helpful.

Beautiful, restful property in a stunning location

We cannot recommend this property highly enough: the space, indoor and outdoor, the pool (a huge hit with our children) the sense of relaxation is immense, aided by the very pleasant contact with Pat, Fintan and Michelle. The area is stunning with so much to do and see, and Michelle was in hand with additional bits of information re: restaurants and events. Truly lovely, easygoing hosts, lovely chats, a lovely property in an outstandingly beautiful area. We lived everything about our two week stay and would LOVE to return.

Home from Home!

Had a fabulous and relaxing stay at this lovely property. The owners can’t do more to make your stay enjoyable and are incredibly helpful. There is everything you could need in the property. We like to cook and the kitchen was very well equipped There is so much to do in this area that I think we need to come back out of season when it is cooler to do some of the incredible walks and towns. Mèze and Marseillan Plage were great for the kids. Pézenas was a nice Friday evening out. Hiring a pedalo on Lac Salagou was also fantastic. The highlight was canoeing 14km down L’Herault on Michelle’s recommendation. It’s a fun ride, exhausting but so worth it. Rapids are pretty gentle - our 12 & 9 yr olds managed fine. To come back to the property and relax in the lovely pool just made it perfect. I really recommend both the property and the area for both couples and families.

Excellentes vacances!!!!

Nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances. La location est plus que parfaite, tout y est et s'il vous manque quoi que ce soit les propriétaires seront toujours près à vous aider. ils sont formidables, d'une gentillesse sans mesure et toujours très discrets. La maison est exactement comme sur les photos, d'une propreté irréprochable et pourtant je suis très maniaque! C'est très calme mais en même temps vous êtes proches de tout pour les visites de la région. La piscine est aussi très belle et bien entretenue, nos enfants ont adoré joué dedans. Et n'oublions pas Nala, la chienne tout aussi adorable qui venait de temps en temps nous faire un coucou pour des caresses et une petite gourmandise. Surtout n'hésitez pas, nous recommandons vivement cette location. Nous espérons pouvoir y retourner l'année prochaine.

An excellent holiday!

We spent just over 6 weeks here with our dog. Pat, Fintan, Michelle and Charlotte were so friendly, kind and helpful throughout particularly when we had our little medical and car contretemps! The property itself was totally ideal for us and our dog and he enjoyed playing with the delightful Nala. The position of the property in Le Pouget was ideal for visiting the area including Montpellier, Pezenas, At Guilhem le desert, Marseillan, Meze, Sete, Lac de Salagou. The village is surrounded by lovely dog walks through and above the vineyards. Not to mention the violin playing and free concerts by Michelle! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back. Many thanks to the Lalor family for a wonderful holiday. Beverly, David and Barney

Très bon séjour, malgré une météo peu clémente et des péripéties de trajet!

Super accueil. Logement agréable et propre. Extérieur très sympathique. Les hôtes sont très généreux et très serviables. Ils sont parfaits. Il ne manquait que du soleil. Merci à eux de nous avoir accueilli avec tant de générosité.

Best hosts ever

Flat was terrific, everything you could think of was available Pat, Fintan, Michelle and Charlotte were just too Good to be true. We have had the best 14 days we have ever had in a holiday home. Labrador Nala came and scratched the door every morning when she noticed we were preparing breakfast and also when we prepared our other meals. She lovad sleeping on the cool floor in our flat and we loved her as well. Michelle played for us, Fintan cleaned the pool and arranged chairs, Potted germaniums and made everything look nice while Pat cooked for them all When Michelle was too busy givning lessons and concerts. And she took us out into the mountains to places we never would have found otherwise. We also went With the whole family to a concert by two americans, Ruth and Max Blomquist. A very, very enjoyable evening With lots of local french and english expats. Very, very nice! We hardly left the flat during the whole fortnight as it seemed a pity to leave such a calm and serene place. We Will gladly be back, should our health so admit. We bought a record of Michelles singing and playing and its beautiful, have been playing it all day now on our way homewards bound. Lots of love to our fantastic host and hostesses. We love you all!❤️❤️❤️

Unglaublich guter Empfang, liebenswürdige Betreuung, interessante Gegend

Wir kamen nach einer längeren Reise an und wollten eigentlich zum Nachtessen auswärts gehen. Aber im Kühlschrank hatte es alles, was es für die ersten 24 Stunden brauchte, und daneben Spaghetti, eine gute Sauce und einen ausgezeichneten Wein. So gut wie der Empfang war auch die weitere Betreuung. Und auch die Einrichtung ist perfekt. Alles ist vorhanden, alles funktioniert. Die Wohnung ist viel besser als die bloss 2 Ähren von Gîte de France. Die Fotos lügen nicht. Die Gegend ist auch in einem kalten Frühjahr interessant. Wir machten viele Ausflüge, besichtigten Städte, waren in einem Konzert und wanderten durch schöne Aussichtslagen. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Can not say enough about how lovely our time was, from the moment we arrived to our departure the hospitality was amazing and the cottage itself has everything you could possibly need and maybe more, we can not wait to go back. A rare gem .

Entspannung pur in Le Pouget

Wir waren eine Woche im Ferienappartement der Familie Lalor. Alle sind sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Das Appartement ist sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Im Pool kann man sich jederzeit erfrischen. In der Umgebung gibt es schöne Ausflugsziele.

Excellent, couldn't ask for more. Like home from home. Very friendly, clean, and comfortable

Owners were very friendly and helpful. They booked in advance for us a Christmas lunch at a lovely local restaurant. The place was very warm, and well equipped, including English TV, and DVD player. The bed was large and comfortable, and excellent large shower. We would definitely stay their again if in the area.
