Dentro de un gran jardín mediterráneo (9000 m2), dos casas cicládicas de reciente construcción (2011), la villa principal habitada por los propietarios, una pareja italiana (Milán) con un niño y la casa de huéspedes, dividida en dos apartamentos, cada uno con Veranda exclusiva y parte del jardín. Cada apartamento tiene una sala de estar con 2 sofás cama, cocina, dormitorio doble y baño con ducha. Los apartamentos están amueblados con un gusto simple y elegante, casas de diseño respetando el estilo cicládico y equipados con todas las comodidades para unas vacaciones relajantes y confortables.
Cada veranda está equipada con una sencilla cocina al aire libre, así como una mesa, sillas y tumbonas.
Es una casa ECOLÓGICA, los materiales utilizados y todos los sistemas fueron construidos con el objetivo de salvaguardar el maravilloso entorno natural que lo rodea. El agua sucia es recuperada, procesada y reciclada por una planta sofisticada, para luego ser reutilizada para mojar plantas y flores.
En el sótano de la casa hay una habitación común a los dos apartamentos, donde se pueden guardar equipaje y cualquier equipo.

A little paradise

We stayed in Ulivo for a week in September 2014, and we absolutely loved it! Fantastic location with great views, and the house was the perfect size and had everything we needed. Marco, the owner, was very kind in giving us lots of information on the island, and very discreet. If you are planning a visit, try to catch the ferry that arrives at/leaves from Egiali port, because the road to and from Katapola port is quite tiring into the night.

Great House Overlooking the Sea

It doesn't get better than this. We spent a week in this lovely home with a million-dollar view of the Aegean Sea and neighboring islands. The house is tastefully decorated and had everything we needed as well as a comfortable side veranda with the view of the sea. It is just a short distance outside charming Aegiali with its many shops and tavernas, and also a large beautiful, sandy beach where we swam every day. We vacationed on 3 Greek Islands and found Amorgos to have the most dramatic views and rugged scenery. In 1 day we drove to the southern tip of the island - Kalotaritissa, which is a quaint little fishing hamlet with a beautiful swimming beach. Then on the way back we visited Hozoviotissa Monastery - the 11th century monastery built into the side of a vertical cliff on the sea, and then stopped at Chora on the way back to Aegiali. The island has numerous hiking trails with marked signs, and we did walk from Lagada to Tholaria which was pleasant but does involve a rather difficult and rocky river bed. Lastly we want to thank Marco for inviting us into his home. And we hope to visit here again sometime in the future.

Havre de paix

La villa bénéficie d'une superbe vue sur la baie. Elle dispose de tout le confort nécessaire et d'une décoration raffinée. Tous les jours une personne vient vous faire le ménage, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable. Les propriétaires sont très disponibles et serviables. Il faut prévoir un moyen de locomotion car le village n'est pas facilement accessible à pied.

Une jolie maison bien située

La casa ulivo est une maison très agréable pour passer une semaine à découvrir Amorgos. C'est une maison qui respecte l'architecture traditionnelle ( l'air circule très bien à l'intérieur ). La terrasse est un bel endroit pour se reposer après une journée de tourisme dans l'île. On peut faire beaucoup de choses à Amorgos. Il y a de très beaux villages et beaucoup de circuits de randonnée à proximité de la maison. Vous pouvez aussi partir sur les traces du grand bleu ou chercher une crique sauvage pour vous baigner. Marco et sa femme sont de bon conseil et s'occupent très bien de la maison. Nous avons gardé un excellent souvenir de notre séjour.

Una casa con hermosas vistas

La casa ulivo es un lugar idoneo para descansar y disfrutar de unas vacaciones en las Cicladas. Las fotos reflejan bien la realidad. Se trata de una casa muy agradable y decorada con gusto, ademas su configuracion permite ventilar la casa de manera natural. La temperatura en el interior es siempre agradable gracias a la circulacion del aire. La terraza tiene unas vistas muy bonitas y es un lugar perfecto para descansar después de un dia de visita por la isla. Marco y su mujer te atienden muy bien si hay algun problema. En Amorgos se pueden hacer muchas cosas: visitar los pueblos, disfrutar de las calas, hacer senderismo ( el circuito entre Potamos y el monasterio troglodita es una maravilla ). Es una casa idealmente situada para descubrir la vida en las Cicladas.

Authentic and natural.

Our house had an exquisite view across the bay of Aegiali with it's ever changing colours. The holiday was relaxing, interesting and exciting. Amorgos is beautiful with more donkeys than cars. Walking and exploring the villages by car is easy. Tiziana and Marco made us very welcome. They are a lovely couple who are on hand but very discreet. A whole month in a very special place.

we couldn't be happier with Ulivo villa. everything was so perfectly set, as if it was my own home. Marco and Tiziana, our super nice hosts, thought of every single detail: from the cutlery to the linen, from the equipment to the furniture, all was either impeccably maintained or brand new. beds and sofas are confortable, shower is very good, sheets and towels are from high quality and the bio degradable products provided for personal use - so they can protect the soil and reuse water - are amazing. the location of the house is also perfect to explore the island - you can spend the day in the villages further south, return home for a sundowner on your verandah (not to miss) and then head to dinner in one of the three adorable villages nearby: Aegiali, Tholaria, Langada. I'd definitely return and recommend!

Un amour partagé

Une petite maison toute fraîche aménagée avec soin et élégance dans un très beau et grand jardin. Sa large terrasse joliment aménagée offre l'un des plus beaux point de vue sur la plus enchanteresse des îles. Marco et Tiziana sont des hôtes attentifs et charmants. Nous avons senti dans leur façon de concevoir et de prendre soin de leur petit (pas tant que ça !) domaine et de leurs hôtes que nous partagions le même attachement profond à cette île que nous fréquentons depuis des années.

Amorgos is a nice and quiet island and the rental house is modern, clean, spacious. The viewpoint is incredible and the place is more better than the photos ! Run to this place to meet Marco and is wife ! Nice, nice, nice !!!!

Value for Money

What you see an read on the website of Villa Handras is 100% what you get. We had one of our best holidays in the appartment ULIVO. We felt immadiately at home, the decoration is sober but with style. De location has probably the best view on Aegiali bay, the see, and the surrounding mountains with the lovely village of Tholaria on top. It is quit, your in the middle of the wild nature of Amorgos but only a few minutes away from the harbour, the bus stop, the family beach, the restaurants and the shops. The big bed was heaven, we slept like angels, lulled by the soft sounds of nature. Important to mention is that the house is equiped with mosquito windows! Marco and his lovely wife (and son) are great hosts. They are there when you need them. We appreciated their respect of our privacy. We surely will be back one day. L'accoglienza di Marco e Tiziana è stata calorosa e impeccabile. La casa è silenziosa, fresca, immersa nella vallata, con vista sul mare, con interni spaziosi, rifiniti e gradevoli, che conciliano benissimo design essenziale e confort. Si può fare colazione nella veranda con vista mare, al suono di campanacci al pascolo! Italian style in an ideal Greek Island setting.

I actually stayed in both apartments on the property in order to stay there the whole length of my time on the island. The place consists of two houses, one with the guest apartments and the other, a few steps up the hill, belonging to the proprietor's lovely family. Complete privacy while wanting for nothing. I arrived on a late boat - at 3 am, to find Marco (the owner) still waiting for me at the port. Very nice, and above and beyond, considering there are taxis there. He knows the island well, is liked by the locals (important in the tiny islands!) and clearly has a wonderful sense for design (he built the houses in 2010). This was not my first visit to Amorgos, so I'd seen the property on my way up to Lagada town before - and thought they looked very nice. Beautiful view of the valley, near the best towns (Agiali, Tholaria and Lagada) with open patios to the sunset. It was a no-brainer to book a stay there. Highly recommended.

Location idéale pour des vacances reposantes, très propre.De plus, le ménage est fait régulièrement, ce qui est confortable pour les vacances! dommage, un petit souci avec internet mais il a été réglé depuis, c'est bien! Marco et sa petite famille sont charmants...encore merci pour les légumes gorgés de soleil! Leur présence est discrète mais efficace si besoin, merci encore! l'île d'Amorgos est restée authentique et est heureusement préservée d'un envahissement de touristes comme ses îles voisines...l'environnement, les plages, la mer sont tels qu'on peut les attendre dans ce coin charmant des cyclades...
