Ofrecemos un servicio de camioneta privada por $ 185 ida y vuelta, máximo 8 personas, asientos para niños disponibles. Otras opciones: taxi $ 70 solo ida, alquiler de auto, autobús expreso por hora.

• ¿DÓNDE ESTÁ LA PROPIEDAD? EL FARO está ubicado en el corazón del principal distrito turístico de Playa en la Calle 10 y la playa, a 1 cuadra de la Quinta Avenida. Fifth Avenue es un famoso paseo peatonal de más de 50 cuadras con cafés relajantes y restaurantes gourmet, salones exclusivos y bares al aire libre, boutiques fascinantes y proveedores locales de todo tipo y variedad..

Great Location on the Beach

Really enjoyed our stay. The location is the best in Playa Del Carmen. Beautiful ocean views and a great pool. The odor from the seaweed was mildly unpleasant. The condo unit was well appointed although somewhat in need of updating.

Break before the season starts at home

El Faro is a great location in Playa Del Carmen. No need for a car, best pool in town, and everyone on site couldn’t be nicer. I highly recommend this condo as well as Susan who helped us.

Great place!

Perfect location, gorgeous condo, everything in excellent, working condition. Only problem was seaweed made beach minimally accessible, but of course there’s really nothing the property can do about that. But nicer beach is just a short walk away, so it’s not that big a deal. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic condo

We loved it so much, we scheduled another vacation in a couple of months. The condo is beautiful, and fully appointed. The location cannot be beat. Steps from the ocean, 1 block from Dive shops, and your beach is exactly where the SCUBA boats pick you up. If you are a SCUBA diver, this location cannot be beat.

Christmas at the beach

We had a great stay at El Faro 201 for Christmas! The views from this unit are outstanding! Everybody on staff was attentive and the property is very well maintained. Previous posts have mentioned an issue with seaweed....I can say that this was not an issue during our stay!!! Beaches clean and well kept. We will definitely return!!

Reef 201 does have some of the best views of any condo in Playa-In El Faro for sure. I was there the month of Oct into Nov and there was no seaweed either. We will come back!

We stayed over New Year and it was outstanding all the way around. Condo was great, staff were great, the ocean was great. We needed water for the dispenser and it was there in minutes. Walked to Wal-mart for food, drinks, and necessities, it was a 7 minute walk. Dive shops right at the property and they picked us up in front of the property. Water was beautiful and the city staff worked to keep the beach clean each day. 3 minutes to 5th Avenue and everything we needed for restaurants. Host was on top of everything and was very responsive.

Lovely Condo, Great Location

The condo was perfect for the four of us and the location is perfect. We walked everywhere in a 30x40 block area. So many great restaurants and bars that we didn’t really use the kitchen. The beach is pretty messy with the sargassum bloom but not really a bother. The pool was great for cooling off and working on my sun burn er tan. We felt very safe as there is a noticeable police presence. We will definitely come back.

Just what we needed.

This was just what we needed. The condo resort was a beautiful place to stay. The owner is quick to respond with issues or answers. The staff at the condo resort is friendly and helpful. The security there was great. We felt very safe. On a side note, traveling during Covid can be scary. But when we traveled to Mexico, we felt so safe. They are doing such a great job with safety measures.; from the airport, to stores, restaurants, and shops. They have taken this virus serious.

Great property

Had a great stay at this property. The location was perfect with a beautiful ocean view. The condo was an easy walk to the downtown pedestrian area of Playa, numerous shops and restaurants and walmart for groceries. While being in the center of the action, when you were in the condo, it was quiet and relaxing. The condo was clean and spacious, very comfortable for hanging out. We made dinner twice in the condo and enjoyed eating on the balcony listening to the waves. The pool area was nice and we never had to worry about getting a chair. While relaxing poolside, you had a perfect view of the beach and did not have to worry about people constantly trying to sell you something as they do when you walk along the water or are in town. We would definitely recommend this location for a wonderful stay in Playadel Carmen.

Our getaway place

We have stayed at this property before so obviously we are fans of it. The location, size, and property are perfect for our needs. We are always very comfortable with the surroundings and security of the property. The Villa is just the right size for 3-4 adults. The wooden boardwalk in front of the property was damaged in a storm a few days before our arrival but the complex seemed to be on top of completing needed repairs. There was a Villa undergoing construction by the pool which did increase the noise level during the day but relaxing in the sun and listening to the waves overcame that minor issue. Susan, the property manager, responded promptly to any questions or requests. Another wonderful week in Residences el Faro!

Fantastic Condo in the Best Building in Playa Del Carmen

If you want to visit Playa Del Carmen, I don't know how you could do any better than this. It was a wonderful experience from the time we arrived to the time we left. This condo is located just steps away from 5th Avenue. You'll never run out of new restaurants to try or shops to explore. The local management company (Caribbean Beach Properties) employs some very friendly people. They connected with us multiple times and responded to the few issues that we had almost instantly. They even had the unit ready before 1:00 (official check in time is 3:00) despite the fact that another family had just checked out that morning. We also loved the free drinking water that they supplied. The condo was in beautiful condition and well furnished. It has a true wrap-around patio and beautiful views from two different angles. There's only a few spots in the entire unit where you can't see the ocean. Comfortable beds and good air-conditioning meant that we slept quite well during our stay. I only have a few complaints about this unit. The secondary bathroom often had a sewer gas smell, the master bathroom has no door (no privacy if someone else is in the bedroom), and the condo's patio is accessible from the public hallway (so you have no security if you leave a door open for fresh air at night). Also beware that staircases around the property lack proper handrails and the pool can be quite difficult for those with disabilities to enter and exit. Other than these few things, our stay was perfect. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Also we dont suggest leaving doors open- not only for safety, but also since we are in the tropics there can be some cute but unwanted critters strolling around. And since reef 201 is an end cap it really quite private. See you soon!

Vacation

Rained the entire week except for the last day. Seaweed was out of control. Not the owners fault. It is what it is. We had two reusable Walmart shopping bags that we had to purchase when buying groceries on the countertop and was disappointed that they disappeared after the housekeeper was in on Tuesday. Felt like we needed to lock everything up after that. Nice condo, great view if the weather would have cooperated.

Beautiful a day after a hurricane.

This property is amazing . Surround yourself in beauty at this villa . Wrap around deck within 25’ of the water . Amazing staff provide anything you may need . Security of this facility is top notch .

We were treated horribly by the security! To make matters worse we cought them peeping in our room while some of us were sleeping

We are sorry you were disappointed with reef 201. It is a super popular condo and enjoyed often by many. El Faro does not allow visitors after 6pm and right now they are only allowing the registered guests on property. I apologize for not explaining this to you prior to your arrival. At this time the administration feels its the best policy. Im a bit confused about the comment that the security was "peeping" in the windows. This has never come to my attention before by any guest in the last 10 years of any condo in el faro. I hope you can give el faro another try-thx for coming.

Luxurious Paradise

The pictures don't do this beautiful condo Justice. Its spacious, 2 king size beds, TV's in all rooms, plentiful and comfortable patio furniture. Full beach service included daily. Fabulous unobstructed views will take your breath away. We're a family of 4, use VRBO for 10 years and this is by far our favorite condo ever. Just amazing. We never needed a taxi, walk to everything!

Great property in a great location

This property fully exceeded our expectations. Right on the best part of the beach that we could find. Great access to the water, the beach was super clean. The property was so clean, and well maintained. There were property management resources "patrolling" the perimeter of the property between the beach and the pool, and we always felt secure. The inside of the unit was beautiful. Everything in great working order and it had everything we needed for a short stay in Playa. Thank you for a beautiful spot - we hope to be back next year!

Headache

Me and my fiancé were looking forward to our second part of our trip in playa . We first rented a house on Tulum with Vrbo . Perfect smooth stay . Not with this one . Check in was hard the person responsible for checking us in almost made me believe I was on the wrong place and if my girlfriend wasn’t able to speak some Spanish we would be running around town. The apartament has great location . Be ready the bed is small you will fit in if you are 5’5 inch other wise your foot will be out of the bed . Air condition was dripping , showers weren’t clean ... and the property manager was poorly in communication and not whiling to make any effort after we had try communicate with her several times . Ah make sure if you are renting a car you will have to pay $15 a day to park your vehicles and you must have a voucher and we weren’t aware of it so took us half of our vacation to pull our car from Wall Mart parking lot and finally park in the garage . Location in perfect but was to much of a headache. I don’t recommend.

Lee, we are sorry for your troubles. Reef 201 is one of the most sought after condos in all of Playa with fully satisfied guests. In 10 plus years of renting the El Faro properties we have never had such a confused guest. We do make it clear that parking is an additional expense, but we know that some people get nervous and a bit overwhelmed, loose their tempers, threaten the staff and say things they regret later to all those who are trying to help when traveling. And just a side note-the beds are the normal size king beds you find all over the world.

Beautiful Condo

The unit is next to the beach (more on that later) and convenient to 5th Ave shops and restaurants. Pool is quiet and clean and security is always visible. The only downfall this unit has is the beach is filled with rotting seaweed and the water so gross no one would swim there. Every morning at least 50 workers were there raking up the mess and hauling off with trailers but it never stayed clean or helped the water clear up. Apparently this has been going on for some time. We went to Cozumel on the ferry several times to enjoy snorkeling and site seeing. Many nice beaches there. Overall this is a great condo, just not the beach!

Property location was perfect, beach was a failure.

The condo and the grounds were well maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly at all times. The beach was a mess. The sargassum seaweed was piled up on the beach until there was only a narrow walkway in the sand. No attempt at any time was made by the El Farro to clean the mess up and after four days the smell was not good. I now have done online research and found that the sargassum seaweed has been an issue since 2015. This should be disclosed to potential renters as it has a big impact on the quality of their vacation. To get into the ocean you had to muck through two to three feet of the smelly mess. We feel that the owners/managers of this condo should disclose the beach situation up front. We will not return to Playa del Carmen nor to the El Faro. The white sandy beach shown in the picture is not the beach we experienced and should be removed from the property profile as it is totally misleading. I have pictures that show the piles of seaweed, most are three to four feet high, but one was a massive 12 feet high where a backhoe had deposited some of the cleanup effort. I think VRBO also has a responsibility to disclose this situation.

I am very sorry the seaweed was such a problem for you during your stay in Playa del Carmen. The entire Caribbean ocean has experienced intermittent bouts of seaweed over the last few years. Some days its worse than others and sometimes there is none at all (like today). Although we can not control mother nature, what we CAN control is the the experience, our staff and maintenance of the CONDO YOU RENTED. We are so pleased that the condo itself (Reef 201), our staff and the building grounds were up to your expectations. It means a lot to us to deliver what we represent. We also hope you enjoyed the many things that the charming town of Playa del Carmen and the surrounding area has to offer.
