Fabulous property where you can whale watch from the balcony

House comfortably accommodated three families and allowed everyone to come together, yet have space on their own. The property is fitted out with everything you need, even things you hadn’t thought you needed.

We had an amazing weekend with all of our Family and Friends in the most amazing house.

From the moment everyone walked into the house we were amazed and the spa, games area and the bowling alley were the highlights of the house. The viewing deck was also amazing while being able to cook and entertain all at the same time. It was a weekend that everyone will not forget for a very long time. Amazing memories ❤️

Too much went wrong

The house was beautiful and clean unfortunately we had a lot go wrong for the 3 days we were there. Was looking for a place to relax before starting treatment. Still haven’t heard back from management regarding compensation which is disappointing.

Multigenerational Family Weekend

10/10 location. Sea views from the balcony were incredible! The house is a grand old dame that has definitely seen better days. The facilities on offer were amazing and certainly enough to keep a large group busy and entertained for days. We had a multigenerational family weekend away and there was room and activities aplenty. However, The kids couldn't play outside because the yard was in such disarray with weeds and garden waste everywhere. The pool hadn't been cleaned and the spa jets weren't working. The door leading into the spa area wasn't working so we had to use the door leading into the pool then shimmer our way around a post to get to the spa - ok if you are young and agile. The inside and outside of the house were full of spiderwebs, dead flies and moths and one of the babies found a tablet in one of the sliding door tracks - lucky it was spotted before it went into his mouth! There was a layer of dust over the furniture. The upstairs dishwasher wasn't working and appeared to be blocked. The downstairs kitchen wasn't fully equipped with dishwashing equipment so we didn't even have the option of taking the dishes downstairs or using that kitchen instead. Because of this we washed and dried manually, which is fine except we were provided x2 chux cloths for the entire weekend. It seems I only have a 1500 character limit and unfortunately there is more to discuss, and none of it good. For the top dollar we paid, over all very disappointed presentation of this house.

MISLEADING ADVERTISING / DON'T WANT TO KNOW YOU AF

We paid $6,800 for 3 nights at Wedgetail for our wedding ceremony and reception. Whilst it should have been the best weekend of our life, the property is not what is advertised. The owners care little for undertaking maintenance and any attempt to deal with them to seek compensation goes essentially unanswered. The problems: 1. Bowling alley inoperable (boarded up) told it was working 2. No air conditioning on ground floor (never worked apparently)- not made clear and very uncomfortable 3. 1st floor air-conditioning - faulted after rain and unable to re-start 4. Elevator - essential for those who are mobility impaired - stopped after rain and could not re-start 5. Free wi-fi - not available - monthly allowance fully used before we moved in 6. Terrible water leaking - water leaks in multiple places, bedrooms and main areas, we had guests slipping over 7. Downlights - many do not work 8. Door locks - some of the external doors can not be locked 9. TV in some bedrooms not working 10. Despite paying $932 for cleaning, on our arrival we found mice/rat droppings behind the couches. Hair and hair ties found lying around. Attempts to resolve the issues with the owner have proved fruitless. They simply do not want to know you. Very happy to take your money but not prepared to provide what they advertise. I recommend that you think very seriously about booking this accommodation. I cannot recommend it.

The Team at Eagle Bay Residences work hard to ensure the property is kept to a high standard, we keep our guests as up to date with the property highlights and features and make guests aware of any maintenance issues when they arise. We have a dedicated property Management Team who reside in the area who’s contact details are located in the welcome booklet in the property, our team also contact each guest a week or two out from each stay to ensure the bedding configurations or any special needs of our guests are can be met. i.e early / late check in. It is noted, that they did not get one phone call over the whole week-end you stayed at the property and if you had made contact with our property manager, most of these issues raised in your review could have been fixed through the duration of your stay. In particular: Bowling alley inoperable (boarded up) told it was working. The bowling alley was working throughout the time period of your stay, other than having to score manually. The bowling alley was not and never has been boarded up. We have an external Bowling Alley Specialist that is flown into Western Australia to complete regular services of the bowling alley to ensure our property feature is maintained. No air conditioning on ground floor (never worked apparently)- not made clear and very uncomfortable The Ground Floor AirCon has not been installed, RE 1st floor air-conditioning - faulted after rain and unable to re-start The Air Conditioning unit required a re set and could have been fixed if notified. Elevator - essential for those who are mobility impaired - stopped after rain and could not re-start The elevator required a re set and could have been fixed if notified. We ensure our elevators are up kept and maintained and have an external company complete yearly checks to ensure they meet code. Free wi-fi - not available - monthly allowance fully used before we moved in We could have contacted our Internet Supplier and potentially had the limit increased if we were notified. Terrible water leaking - water leaks in multiple places, bedrooms and main areas, we had guests slipping over Inspiration on Wedgetail is built around the natural beauty/ cliffs of Eagle Bay, and is classified as Semi Rural. Unfortunately when there is sudden rainfall / heavy showers the property sometimes has small leaking in these weather events. 60th birthday weekend

Magnificent property, perfect for family birthday celebration. The bowling alley was a hit with the kids. The deck & bar area a hit with the adults. Gym & spa was very enjoyable. The pool needs retiling. A few minor maintenance issues (globes, curtains, aircon etc) require attention. A great weekend overall. Beautiful views.

Great family experience

Everything worked well and the whole family (all 13 of us) thoroughly enjoyed their stay. This is a wonderful property to keep children occupied and allow adults to relax. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and could not have found a better place in which to do it.

The checkin process was as planned. The house was better than envisaged. Well stocked with sporting and gymnasium equipment. Every request made to the Property Manager was answered promptly. Score keeping on the bowling alley was conducted manually as we couldn’t get the electronic scoring boards working. House had ample well stocked cooking equipment for our large extended family. Plenty of quiet corners for all ages to find their special relax locations. Great off street parking for multiple cars. The view over Eagle Bay offered multiple whale observations every day

Amazing house in a beautiful part of the world, ideal for large families

My family and I spent three glorious weeks in this house, not only was its location and aspect perfect, the design and infrastructure provided within the house is phenomenal. Movie theatre, bowling alley, squash court, gym, table tennis- it suited our active family and the youngsters never wanted to leave. This meant we could either do as little or as much as anyone wanted ! The proximity to the beach and the wineries of Margaret River is a bonus. Highly recommended!

Perfect wedding venue

Stayed here last weekend and had our wedding on the Sat. The place was so perfect. Every guest was blown away and all said "this is "house goals". The back yard fit 74 people perfectly with enough room to move around and dance. The pool area makes a great dance floor. Hired a pizza van and other caterers and there was back driveway that made it easy to fit a trailer though and set up at the back. The bowling ally was a lot of fun! Theater room chairs were so comfy accidentally fell asleep in them. The was plenty of fridge space to fit enough alch for 74 people so we didnt need to hire eskies to keep drinks cool. There was a minor problem with the lights at the start and then i had an immediate reply via phone call on how to fix it. The rest of the holiday was problem free. We are going to book the place out again, really great place and recommended it to all of my friends.

Amazing house - Best Views

I returned from staying in this amazing house with the best views of Eagle Bay last week and all 12 adults and 3 kids had the best time. Sandra the Property Manager contacted me the week before to ask what bedding configurations we wanted and also arranged for a cot and high chair to be in the property. 2 days before Sandra then emailed me to advise that we could have a much earlier check in of 1 pm which was great as it gave us an extra day. From the moment we pulled up outside the property we all loved it. The photos do not do the house justice, it is huge and has so much to offer. We all took a tour of the house and everything was perfect. I had read the bad review on here just before we arrived and was worried but I can say that the house was immaculately clean and everything was working perfectly much to the delight of my 4 year old nephew who loved the bowling alley. We stayed for 3 nights and didn't leave the house once as there was so much to keep everyone occupied and they even supply board games and movies to watch in the huge theater room. During our stay I emailed the property manager just to let them know that the air con in one of the bedrooms had stopped working. I didn't expect them to come and fix it, I just wanted to let them know but then I shortly received an email back to say that maintenance would be out within the hour, and good enough he come out and fixed it straight away. All of the kitchen appliances our top of the range and you have everything you could possibly need and more. I know people who have stayed here several times and love it and I will definitely be returning. This holiday was a surprise for my Mother in law's 60th Birthday and we all loved it, our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. The deposit was also returned to me within 5 days of me leaving the property which I wasn't expecting as the terms said up to 21 days.
