We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beaches are pristine. The sunrises were spectacular and the fireplace was so cosy for a winter escape.

Quiet and peaceful, relaxing and very comfortable, everything needed was supplied.
Excellent location, you literally walk out the back and onto the beach. House is nice and clean and kid friendly. Looking forward to when we come down left and stay here again!

Great Location. But wouldn't recommend for kids. Over priced.
The location is flawless, literally steps to the beach however the accommodation is very basic and outdated and we felt that it was very over priced.
The balcony on both the front and the back did not have railings which meant that our young kids could easily fall through. Despite not being legal or safe, it meant that our kids could not play outside as they could easily fall through the balcony.
We did not expect food to be provided but there were zero pantry basics such as salt, pepper, cooking oil, milk, butter, tea, coffee etc which meant that we had to go out and literally purchase all the staples that are usually provided. For the premium price of the property we expected to have these basics provided.
Many of the windows were fixed closed which meant that we could not get a cross breeze. Due to the unsafe balcony we were not able to leave the doors open which meant that unless the kids were closely supervised they were confined to playing inside.
It is a shame as it was such a beautiful location however these things let the property and our experience down. It is a premium priced property but really does not deliver on premium standards that would be expected.
Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that you did not find your stay satisfactory especially after we broke our strict NO PET policy so you could bring your Medical Assistance Service dog. We would like to address the points you have made.
The rental website shows many photos including the balconies and railings. Past tenants with young children have returned repeatedly because of the large lawn next to the beach and because of the secure, sunny, private and level courtyard garden on the road side of the house, as well as all one level inside the house with no steps. We have never contemplated closing off the balcony on the beach side of the house as we value the unrestricted beach view and access.
Your use the word 'legal' is not correct as under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, a building only has to comply with the Building Code of Australia at the time of construction. Recently, we had a certified builder check safety of steps to balconies and security lights were installed. When we do renovations, balcony construction with be in accordance with the present building code.
It is unfortunate about the misunderstanding that windows in the house are 'fixed closed' because this is NOT correct. Wooden rods are placed in the tracks for extra security. Once the rod is lifted out, windows unlock and then they slide open . All windows in the house can be opened in this way. It was also unfortunate that you did not phone re the window situation because we could have explained it all to you. No tenants in the past have had a problem with opening windows. In addition, we recently had two security screen doors installed in the house, and with two doors open (and security door screens locked) plus windows opened an adequate cross-breeze can be achieved.
In relation to 'pantry basics ' there is no mention of providing such provision on our web site. Usually we supply salt, pepper and tea bags. We will check why they are not in the house and apologise they were not there for you. Everything else, olive oil, coffee, butter and milk we believe are better fresh and we do not like waste. We do not consider ourselves a motel/hotel. Local shops are in walking distance.
'Outdated' is a subjective assessment. This is a beach house and many tenants like the 1970's style and have found the house very comfortable with interesting art collected from overseas travel.

This absolute beachfront is located in the middle of beautiful Mollymook beach. Numerous activities, coffee shops and restaurants walking distance from the house. Many more possibilities a short drive away.
