Lion's Den Cabin en The King's Pines

Nuestra cabaña Lion's Den se encuentra en cincuenta acres de bosques de pinos en las estribaciones de Adirondack. La propiedad está aislada y muy tranquila. Damos la bienvenida a nuestros huéspedes a caminar por nuestros senderos: invierno, primavera, verano y otoño. Volvemos a la naturaleza y usamos energía solar para la iluminación de la cabina. Como es de 12 V, no puede enchufar nada en los tomacorrientes. Usamos agua de lluvia para nuestro baño (lavabo, ducha e inodoro). La cabina tiene una cama queen size arriba y un colchón plegable de tamaño completo para invitados adicionales. Abajo, el sofá cama se abre a un colchón de tamaño completo. Un porche de tamaño generoso hace que la relajación sea cómoda. ¡Ven a ver de qué se trata la tranquilidad y por qué a nuestros huéspedes les encanta la experiencia fuera de la red!

Wonderful back to nature experience while also having the amenity of indoor plumbing. Birds and squirrels to watch, campfire with wood provided. Ability to charge cell and enough service to get texts in/out if desired. 100% will be staying again. Rick was great, friendly and helped us understand how everything worked, but left us free to enjoy the property in privacy.

It was so nice to stay here and take a break from the world. Beautiful cabin! Lovely trails to walk around and it took us right back to our cabin. Figuring out the plumbing was simple with their directions. The bed was very comfortable and the wood stove heated the house well. Definitely would like to stay again!

A little slice of happiness and relaxation!

Our fourth winter trip to The Lion’s Den was exactly what our family needed on our annual trip! Back to nature, quality family time, and the most serene, peaceful environment for a few days. Rick is a fantastic host and provides outstanding accommodations. Comfortable beds, a clean cabin, and acres of stunning scenery to enjoy! We cannot wait to return next winter!

Puppy dog's 1st Trip

The mix of creature comforts and offgrid cabin stay are perfect. The directions for the water system are easy to follow and the system is well designed. Firewood is dry/seasoned and the kindling made a quick job of getting the fire going. The weather didnt provide much juice for the solar being winter but wasnt really an issue. I'd recommend bringing a power source for charging phones depending on expected sunlight. The kitchenette is very well equiped and we made some great meals.

Lovely, well-made cabin.

Clean, quaint, perfect for a semi rustic outing. Only got to stay one night of two booked (due to sickness) but it was comfortable and with picnic tables, grill, outdoor fire space, seems like a great spit at which to hang with friends.

Magical winter retreat

Each winter my wife and I find ourselves coming back to the Lion’s Den for a picture perfect break from it all. The wind through the trees and crackle of the fire welcome us back like old friends every time.

Perfect Adirondacks Cabin

My family booked this cabin last minute to escape the stress of life for a weekend. It was exactly as described. We choose this cabin because there is a bathroom inside and a large outdoor fire pit area. The cabin was easy to find with the directions provided. There are notes explaining how to use everything on the property. It’s was quiet and beautiful. We could hear the owls and see all the stars. The cabin was definitely warm enough with the wood stove. Highly recommended this cabin. We hope to stay here again soon.

Perfect cold November weekend

My partner and I came up for a long weekend with our two large dogs. The cabin was perfect with the wood burning stove and the impressive rain water system. We spent our days hiking and our nights curled up by the fire. The cabin was clean, with all necessary amenities for northern NY adventures. Thank you for your hospitality!

Heaven on Earth

Heaven on Earth, beautiful area, loved the solar and rainwater system, toys for kids, firewood, bikes, canoes and kayaks. Too much extra amenities to mention. Thank you Rick for this amazing experience.

Our off-the-grid cabin offers our guests a unique experience. From pumping their own rainwater for the shower, sink and toilet to using our solar power for the lighting in the cabin, our guests tell us how special the experience of sustainable living was. With 50 acres of pine woods to hike, explore and enjoy, the rolling foothills offers interesting topography. Our cabins are spaced out on the property to insure seclusion and privacy.

We're right on the snowmobile trails and just 15 minutes from boat and kayak launches.
We are in the undiscovered area of the Adirondacks. Old Forge is one hour and 15 minutes away. Many of our guests go to Old Forge for the day and then return to the quiet of the cabin.
