We found the property to be relaxing & peaceful. We totally enjoyed our stay . It was great after a day of exploring and some evenings of speedway to come back to such a quiet peaceful environment enjoying a quite drink watching the sunset over the river . The title says it all .

Right on the River

What a beautiful spot. We had our own pontoon for kids to jump into the river, the use of kayaks and the surroundings were amazing.

Relaxing Stay

Fantastic location on the Murray. Pier at the front of the house was great and boat ramp was just around the corner. Home well equipped and very comfortable. Very relaxing weekend. Thank you.

Everything you might want

It's a lovely location, particularly for kayaking or fishing in the marina where younger kids can be quite safe. House is well setup and the A/C worked really well, as did pretty much everything. Only thing was the neighbours across the marina played their music loud and late, however still slept as well as I do at home. Didn't get to have a fire and roast marshmallows, maybe next year in the Winter!

Relaxing, scenic stay

We were a group of 8 x 65yr old (school)friends and partners having a regular get together. Jodi was very communicative. The scenery was relaxing and quite beautiful. We could conveniently moor our boat out front for short scenic trips and enjoy the fire pit that was on the bank. The house was plenty big enough for the 8 of us and very comfortable and clean. We very much enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend- we will be back sometime Thank you Jodi for allowing us to enjoy your home and being such a good host

Fabulous

Great property, we were a group of six, plenty of room. The fact that the river is at the edge of the garden is wonderful. Comfy beds, we loved it and can't wait to go back.

Weekend getaway

Perfect location for our weekend plans. Tea at the Welly pub on arrival. Visiting the 'Winehouse' at Langhorne Creek for lunch and then enjoyed a lazy evening back at the house down by the waters edge.

Quiet getaway

A well situated property with a great view. Jodi was a perfect host and very accommodating to us, thank Jodi. We enjoyed a great few days away in a well equipped, comfortable property that suited us perfectly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Peaceful family getaway on the river

The house was newer inside than I was expecting. It's spacious with plenty of rooms for our teenage girls to be apart from one another! Kitchen was well-equipped with a lovely view onto the river. Games were a good addition and our girls played Yahtzee. The fire pit was so good and we spent a lot of time out there. Wooden chairs around the fire suited four people which was great and the bench on the jetty was a good place to have a peaceful morning coffee. In addition to our kayaks we did hire the two that were available but only took one out for a short time. There is no kayak seat backrest which is probably fine for kids but a bit uncomfortable for adults. This is just a small issue overall. It was such a treat to be directly on the river and the neighbours across the river were friendly. The modern, spacious house and affable communication with Jodi made a really lovely mini vacation. We even walked around the streets and looked at blocks of land for sale! We didn't know there was a marina at Wellington. Thanks, Jodi.

Ideal place to use as a base!

The design of the house with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen and a dining area overlooking the water was a perfect choice to sit back and relax and enjoy the company of our good friends. Outdoor seating was well catered for along with a bbq area but unfortunately a little too cool to put this to use! We found the location perfect for visiting surrounding areas, travelling as far as Victor Harbor, Goolwa, Milang and Clayton,, and Meningie, with several winery visits along the way. We look forward to returning sometime in the future, and we do not need to look anywhere else as this House exceeded our expectations.

A great space for a memorable relaxed family reunion

My elderly parents absolutely loved this time by the water as did we. Light, spacious and airy, cool in the days and warm at night. A lovely layout that allows us to enjoy the view throughout the main living areas. We thoroughly enjoyed this well appointed and equipped home (including the washing machine and drier, the smoothie maker, the dishwasher and all the modern appliances plus excellent crockery, cutlery, serving dishes and a ton of helpful tupperware. ) Plus the thoughtful provisions of pantry basics were appreciated. We made good use of all the games too. Pillows, quits and blankets all satisfactory. The stairs and deck down to the jetty made the water accessible for our oldies and the jetty was great to tie up our ski boat. The front lawn was perfect for enjoying the sunny days playing Ginska and Kubb games. We very much enjoyed the fire pit on Tuesday night which as terrific bonus. My son and I had much fun with the Kayaks too. Thanks so much for being so accommodating of our changing needs and extending or dates. It’s been a very special and memorable time for us all. We definitely plan to return.

Very enjoyable

1 note for the owners - we had to change over to a new gas bottle so there is no spare at the moment. Could do with a few more good size wine glasses. Also a couple extra tea towels. A kitchen bench spray for cleaning surfaces would be good. Otherwise a lovely house with great views and beautifully presented - we all had a great time. Very peaceful location. Definitely recommend it.

Beautiful location, spoilt by a dirty house & smelly doonas! The Wellington pub served GREAT meals!

Beautifully peaceful until the weekend parties in the house directly across the water. The place needs a thorough clean. Dusty & sticky, the doonas and blankets provided, all smelt really bad. Had to clean the oven before we could cook. Nothing was clean. Cobwebs and spiders throughout. Not good enough for the money we spent and no apology. Great pub and cafe...excellent food!
