WELCOME TO GALVESTON:) Our Vila Cottage is a newly build home just a 5 minute walk to the Seawall and one of the best beaches in Galveston. It is located in a very nice neighborhood next to Galveston College. The home is surrounded with many famous restaurants such as Gaido's, bars, attractions sightseeing and more. You don't have to drive, you can walk everywhere!!! You will be very close to Pleasure Pier and The Strand. When you enter the cottage, you'll immediately feel at home and relaxed. If you are looking for artistic and positive place where you can have privacy and peace while being close to everything in town, we would definitely give you that. The property features outdoor shower, small playground for younger children, backyard with picnic table and shed that has washer and dryer for you to use, beach toys, chairs and wagon.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

My family chose this home to stay prior to a cruise departing in Galveston. The location was great, we did use Uber to get around. It was easy to find rides from all areas. The beds were not the greatest, they were pretty uncomfortable. We were unable to use the outdoor shower, it had old bedding stored in it. We did use the washer and dryer area. That area was a bit dirty and a load of damp laundry was left in the dryer. Communication prior to our stay was great. Check in was easy.

We loved it

Everything was great! We really enjoyed the location and our stay. The only problem my daughter had was the top bunk bed was a little shaky so she was scared to sleep on top. But overall it was a wonderful vacation spot.

Great House and Great Location

This is a guest house behind the owner's house, but it was a great experience. The place is well kept and convenient to most of the island. The owners were super helpful, and we never saw them unless we needed something. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely rent again from them.

Communication was great with the owner. We never got lost, thanks to her. We had issues with the WiFi, which we did not communicate with the owner, because it was late and the kids managed to survive. As well as several blinds are broken in the home and Oreos, were left on the ground near the main entrance of the home. Other then that, our stay was short but very nice! It’s very bright and colorful, which we all loved, especially the kids. We would definitely stay here again.

Just what we needed!

Communication with host was very prompt. Dragica was accommodating with each request. The place was as described, but note that it presents as a cottage/guest house at the rear of a main home. It was very clean upon arrival. Comfortable for my family including 2 small kids. Not much yard space, but our purpose was the beach, so that didn't bother us. The beach is very close, about a 4 block walk. Dragica and her cleaning staff have certainly earned an extra special shout out from me. I left behind my wedding ring and they immediately contacted me and mailed it to promptly. She alleviated all my worry and anxiety. I am so grateful to have had THEM as hosts for this stay!

The initial gate was broken/disconnected by host. It took us a bit just to get past that front and had to contact the host for further instruction. The place itself wasn’t bad, but not a 5 minute walk to the beach as advertised. It’s closer to 10 minutes or so, and with kids, longer. This isn’t a bad place if you have your own vehicle. The interior wasn’t bad, although the beds were uncomfortable. I slept on the couch while my kids and family slept in the beds and I got in the middle up in the middle of the night because I had roaches crawling on me. Just for that alone, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. For the same price you can get a nicer hotel or suite relatively closer or around the same distance away where you’re not paying cleaning fees or don’t have to worry about taking trash out yourself/gathering all used linens (towels and such). The host was nice, I saw other reviews about communication, but my main issue was the roaches, fees, and inaccurate listing showing 5 minutes to the beach.

This place was quiet and nice. Perfect place for staying when getting on a cruise boat. Only a 5 minute Uber ride from port. Walking distance to beach/dining area.

Everything was great! The hosts were amazing, the house was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed to cook and eat at home. You are around t blocks away from the ocean, and if you sit outside, you can wear the waves hitting. We bought a train set for our son at the museum and we needed a tiny screwdriver to put the batteries in, and Dragica brought one over within the hour. The backyard is amazing with lights strung up. I can't say enough good things about this place or the hosts. We'll be back!

Great place to stay close to beach

The location of this house is great, a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. Beach chairs, umbrellas and towels were available for our use, which was a huge convenience. The house is very cute, and while it is small, you could comfortably sleep 8 people (we had 5 and had plenty of sleeping room).
