Welcome to Sunset Escapes, this Cozy Beach Cottage was built in 1910 and is nestled in the Historic District on sunny Galveston Island. The charming home has a prime location. It is about a 7 minute walk to the Seawall/Beach and about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive the Historic Strand.

GALVESTON ATTRACTIONS: Pleasure Pier (1 mile), Seawall (less than 1/2 mile), Galveston Fishing Pier (5.6 miles), Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Moody Gardens (6.2 miles), Cruise Terminal (1.3 miles)

BEACHES: Galveston Beach/Seawall Blvd. (0.5 miles), Stewart Beach (1.2 miles), East Beach (2.6 miles), Galveston Island State Park (13 miles)

I was worried this property would be cramped, but it was surprisingly spacious for how small it is! It’s well kept, comfortable and has everything you need. The outside amenities were great as well. The location is good, neighborhood seemed safe and it was an easy walk to the cruise terminal. I would stay here again.

It's a cute little cottage. Comfortable. Good location. Well equipped. All good. And when we made an error in our reservation the owner (or manager?) was most gracious in correcting it to our advantage. Very nice. Would rent it again!

Thank you for your feedback. I pour my heart into my tiny home, and I’m genuinely disappointed to receive your 2-star review. The listing clearly states “Cozy Beach Cottage,” which, as shown in the photos, is exactly what it is- a small, thoughtfully designed space. It’s disheartening that you chose to book despite that and then left such a low rating without explaining why. I take a lot of pride in creating a warm and welcoming stay for every guest, and this kind of vague, damaging review feels both unfair and unhelpful.

The cottage was amazing and deco was beautiful. The owner definitely took the time to think about what is needed for a comfortable stay. The yard is perfect to sit back and relax after a day at the beach. Close to the Seawall, and loved the recommendations for places to visit and eat in the welcome under. You will not regret booking this cute cottage, will definitely book again. Thanks Lindsey for making our trip to Galveston even more enjoyable!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lindsey’s place! The home was so quaint and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special and welcoming. From the cozy décor to the helpful home booklet, Lindsey thought of everything — including step-by-step photos for things like the fold-out couch and grill, plus great recommendations for local restaurants and activities.The location was perfect — tucked into a sweet, quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the beach. We loved being able to rollerblade along the seawall, enjoy the outdoor seating in the little side yard, and stroll down to the Pleasure Pier for a night of roller coasters and ocean views. Our new pup Nina loved the beach!Lindsey was incredibly kind and responsive throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to come back!

Weekend Getaway

This property was perfect for our weekend getaway to Galveston. We were in walking distance to the seawall and several of the museums and historic homes we wanted to see. This property was super clean and the decor was so cute.
