GULF FRONT townhome is located right on the beach. Walk out the back door and you are steps away from the beach and pool. We are in a very remote, private area with only single family homes at least a mile either way up or down the beach. No highrises or crowds.

Come enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Forgotten Coast, and stay in a beautifully remodeled 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhome. Watch the dolphins play from your own screened back patio, and take in the stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. This lovely townhome is located between Cape San Blas and Indian Pass, and offers a true paradise away from hectic daily life.

Families will enjoy the use of the community pool, shared by only 12 units, as well as the sun and sand of the wide beach, just steps from your back door. Great fishing, quiet laid back days on the beach, time to relax and enjoy, it is all here. Forget the crowded beaches of Destin, come to the Forgotten Coast, and enjoy the quiet beauty of this memorable place.

We now have wireless high speed internet so you can stay in touch with home or work. You can make it a working vacation if need be. We also just installed a new 40' LCD HDTV in 2010.

This end unit sleeps 6 with 2 King Sized Beds and 1 Queen Sized Sofa sleeper, and has an oceanfront deck off the master bedroom and a screened patio, both offering fantastic views of the Gulf of Mexico. BOTH THE UNIT AND THE BEACH ARE PET-FRIENDLY TOO!

We live in St Louis, MO and try to get down to the beach as often as possible. This isn't just a rental property. It is our vacation townhouse and we have furnished and equipped it like our home. We do not own any other properties and we make sure that our beach townhouse is as nice as it can be.

We purchased our townhouse because it is such a great location. It is very quiet and undeveloped. It is one of the few places that you can find a beautiful beach that is not crowed with high rise condos and hotels. The surrounding area is charmimg with great restaurants and the locals are very outgoing and friendly.

What makes this townhome unique

You will enjoy being right on the beach in a very private setting. The development is very small, only 3 buildings, and the pool is right on the beach. The fishing is great from the shore and you can catch crabs in the bayou. Both bedrooms have king size beds and the townhouse is like home.

DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE!!!

I thought I had found the perfect vacation spot but I was wrong. The pictures on the website are outdated....the owner even said so after several text/email exchanges. My family and I arrived to the residence to find the place dirty even though the cleaner had just been there. The kitchen cabinets were delaminating. There were rust spots in the bathroom ceilings. The beds were uncomfortable. Dust was all over the features, stains on the bedding, pillow cases that didn't fit the pillows, hairs on the pillow cases, bugs inside the unit and an overall musty smell of the place.

It is reported that there is a small area of runoff water to cross to get the ocean but that is COMPLETELY FALSE! The water is run-off from the bayou that is besides the property. The owner will tel you that the bayou has recently changed; however, it has been this way for a few years. We had to walk down four steps, slide in the sand, and wade through knee high mucky water to get to the beach. It was VERY unsafe. We had multiple permanent resident neighbor's approach us as after they saw us walking through the thigh high water to warn us of alligators and crabs. They indicated that it had been that way for several months, not just recent rain fall. The alligator lived on a small area of land about 400m from the beach and had been seen by one of the concerned bystanders that morning while they were kayaking.

We arrived Saturday and left Monday morning. We DID NOT contact the owner before we left because we realized there was nothing we could do to improve the stay. I 100% take full responsibility for not contacting him. When we did contact him after retiring home took multiple days to respond. He stated that he had to see the place first and would be in contact. I had to contact him multiple times to ask for a refund. In the end he WOULD NOT return my texts and ultimately would not refund ANY money. I was willing to pay for the 2 nights stayed and the cleaning fee. I had a representative contact him on my behalf to see if he would be open to talk to him and he was rude and disrespectful. Ultimately, he hung up on the person.

I wanted a great vacation and thought i had found the perfect place. I was extremely disappointed and saddened that were were misinformed and were not given a refund of the hard earned money we spent.

Owner's Response: I am very sorry that your stay did not live up to your expectations. If you had contacted me, I would have done anything in my power to have corrected any deficiencies. As for the cleaning issues, I would have sent my cleaner back out to clean whatever needed to be cleaned to your satisfaction. I could have also told you about the footbridge over the bayou that is 3 houses down. Unfortunately, a tropical storm had been through the area the week before your arrival and that made the bayou flow much greater than usual. We are currently working on getting permits from the Department of Environmental Protection, the US Army Corp of Engineers and the State of Florida to redirect the flow of the bayou. It did shift several months ago and we are working to correct it back to its original path. Unfortunately, the wheels of government are very slow turning. Once we have secured the necessary permits, Gulf County is planning on working with us to maintain the proper path for the bayou. When your friend called me, he stated that he was an attorney and that he was going to file suit against me. I did not hang up on him. I would have done everything possible to resolve the issues, but you never gave me the chance. I also was not given the opportunity to re rent the unit once you left. You didn't even contact me request a refund until your rental week was over.

NOT BEACH FRONT!!!

Be aware! The owner does not understand FULL DISCLOSURE! There is a bayou between the house and the beach!! Like with eels, alligators, and snakes! The owner will tell you it's only ankle deep; more like 3 to 5 feet deep. To get to the beach it's about a 4 block hike through private property! Pool is nice but not child-safe; one of the gates is broke and is wide open all the time. Also a local realtor we spoke to after we got there said the property is over-priced for what you're getting! The bayou has been there since last year so the owner is VERY aware of it but rents it as beachfront anyway. Having so much fun we left a day early. Calling BBB next!!

Owner's Response: The bayou flow does vary depending on recent rainfall. The footbridge over the bayou is 3 houses down and we have express consent from the owners to use it until we have resolved the issues with the bayou. The bayou flow shifted several months ago and we have been working with the Department of Environmental Protection, The US Army Corp of Engineers and the State of Florida to get permits to redirect the flow of the bayou to its original path. We also have a commitment from Gulf County to help us maintain the bayou path once the permits are issued. Unfortunately, it is a very arduous process getting anything done with the government, but we are diligently working to get the issue resolved. The townhouse is still Gulf Front and the bridge is literally 3 houses to the East of our development. I'm sorry that your stay was not everything that you wanted it to be.

Superb Vacation

If you are looking for relaxation, fun and adventure all within 15 minutes, this property is for you. My husband and I just returned from a very peaceful trip, where we had the privilege to call this property home for a week. The unit looks exactly like what you see pictured and has everything you need to make yourself right at home. Multiple trips to the beach every day we stayed were an easy walk out the back door. A convenient hose is located by the back porch to minimize sandy floors; however, it’s the beach. (Sand on your toes is required, as I see it.) Our dogs loved the stay too, except the washing of paws with the hose. The property boasts a beautiful pool which we enjoyed after beach time, too.

Just down the road you’ll find the Indian Pass Raw Bar which we highly recommend. If we would have tried that first, we may not have visited another restaurant. A bit further east, we enjoyed roaming the streets of Apalachicola after the best brunch ever at the Owl Café. To the west, you have access to groceries, other great restaurants and great shopping in Port St. Joe. Around another corner from the unit, we found Happy Ours whom outfitted us with a kayak and SUP for an afternoon of exploring the bay. A horseback ride at sunset where we strolled beside 2 dolphins was also part of our adventure.

The porch off the master bedroom is where we started and ended our day. The view is lovely. We enjoyed watching the waves crash and people playing in the Money Bayou. Even though we did not fish, many people enjoyed fishing both the bayou and the ocean. One of our dogs loved rounding the edge of the bayou on the way to the beach, trying hard to catch a bird.

The property owner is very helpful and answered all of our questions very timely. We had the best vacation ever and can’t wait to come back!

A Great Stay

Our recent trip to Cape San Blas was just great. If you like "Old Florida" then this is the place for you. Our condo was as advertised. Upon walking in, what we noticed first was how clean it appeared...it just had that feel. Well, feel soon became reality as the place was spic-and-span throughout. It had everything you could need including essentials like good air conditioning, comfortable beds, good shower heads, etc. Besides it being right on the beach, the Cape Villas had a very nice pool which was heated and set at just the right temperature. The fact, too, that it is "pet friendly" was a huge bonus. There is plenty of grass front and back for your pet to walk around comfortably not to mention how great it is to let them walk freely on the beach. Finally, owner Steve was always there for us if we needed him. This was really helpful on a few occasions to get an answer on a particular matter. All-in-all, I highly recommend this unit and the "Forgotten Coast" of Gulf County, Florida!!!

a good getaway

nice place, pretty well kept. if you are looking for peace and quite this is for you. The Villas are Beach front with a walk around a lagoon area. the pool is nice and right out the back door. The owner is very nice and easy to work with. If you like Fishing the shore or surf fishing here is very good, we caught flounders trout and much more.

The down side : the patio furniture needs replacing badly some of the chairs need to be thrown out, sat in one and fell to the floor. otherwise a nice a place for a getaway from busy day to day life. Port st joe and the Cape are beautiful.

Perfect for family of 4 + dog; gulf and bayou access

On our first day, we were concerned about the "money bayou" between the unit and the gulf. However, on the second morning that we were there, much of the bayou drained to the ocean. This made for easy access to the beach and gulf, as we could quickly walk around the edge of the bayou. People came from miles away to catch crabs, shrimp, and fish in the bayou, and they were still able to do this after it drained.

We were mainly interested in the beach, ocean, pool. The shelling was fantastic. Our 9 and 11 year old daughters felt that the waves were perfect for boogie boarding, and the sand was just right for making sand sculptures. It felt like a private beach, there were very few people out there. We also put up a tent for shade. The pool was clean and plenty big to serve the 12 units in this complex. There was also plenty of seating by the pool - no need to wake up early to get a chair.

I enjoyed the fantastic views of the gulf from the unit. I could see the water while preparing meals in the kitchen. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that we needed. The ice maker came in handy as well. We cooked breakfast and lunch daily, and went out to dinner in Port St. Joe (about 15 minutes away). We recommend the following restaurants: Sunset Coastal Grille, Triple Tails, and Shipyard Cove. Despite a great local reputation, we refused to wait in excess of 2 hours to eat at Indian Pass Trading Post/Raw Bar.

I woke up to seeing the ocean every morning. The unit was very comfortable, with our kids staying in one bedroom/bath and we stayed in the other bedroom/bath. The bedrooms had plenty of storage for clothing. There was also a convenient half bath downstairs by the kitchen and den. The laundry machines were also great...we used them daily. The air conditioning was also very good. We really enjoyed the convenient access to the unit from the car. We took about 5 steps from the car to the unit's kitchen, which made unloading/loading the car a breeze. There was plenty of storage for beach items on the great screened porch.

The lawn area was nice for walking our dog. However, there were quite a few wasps, and my daughter and dog got stung. We sprayed the wasps with two cans of spray, but there were still more. Also, watch out for the burs in the grass. Our dog got many in her paws and around her muzzle, and they were difficult to remove.

Overall, the unit was exactly what we needed, and we will definitely be returning! Great vacation!
