The Beached Albatross (Upper Level)

Welcome to the upper level of “The Beached Albatross.” This lovely beach-inspired home has been furnished and decorated to provide a calming island oasis retreat during your stay in Fort Myers Beach! Take a short 5 minute walk to the ocean or enjoy the large heated and screened-in pool. The spacious, fenced backyard offers a lush tropical setting with seating areas so you can enjoy the sun and the tranquility. For guest convenience there is also ample off-street parking as well.

This unit offers two comfortable bedrooms, one bathroom, and a large open concept living room/dining area/kitchen with a gorgeous custom finished vaulted ceiling that has been painstakingly painted in a beautiful sky blue hue.

The main entry to the upper level of this home is through a screen door into the shared screened in pool area, then via stairs to the left up to a covered deck furnished with a round glass-top table and chairs which opens into the home, and also overlooks the pool below, the waving palms of the surrounding yards, and an outdoor pavered patio beyond the pool enclosure with lounge chairs and a gas BBQ grill. The screened-in pool enclosure is two stories, so it includes this entry deck. Entry from the deck is into the living area of the home through double doors. There is luxury vinyl plank flooring on this level, with the exception of the tiled bathrooms and laundry area. There are vaulted ceilings, recessed lighting, and ceiling fans.

You will certainly be comfortable in the large open concept living/dining/kitchen space. The living area has two sofas, one of which is a queen-size sleeper sofa. There are end tables, a fun round coffee table and stool set, and a wall mounted large flat screen smart TV.

The dining space includes a large table with 6 chairs. If you need more table space, the butterfly leaf will allow for 2 additional chairs. The dining area also includes a quaint bistro table and chairs and a huge pass-through quartz bar from the kitchen and 6 stools.

The well appointed kitchen has beautiful quartz countertops. The stainless steel appliances include a side by side refrigerator with ice and water in the door, slide-in glass top stove and a self-cleaning convection oven. A dishwasher and countertop microwave complete the kitchen appliance group. There is a significant number of cabinets to hold all of the kitchen wares as well as all the food you may need for your visit.

Off the kitchen you will find in-unit laundry and a storage room. The hutch contains your Keurig, slow cooker, a blender and an assortment of games and puzzles.

The two bedrooms with Jack and Jill bathroom between are off the living space. Each of the bedrooms is nicely decorated and includes a queen-size bed, plenty of dresser space nightstands and lamps. Each bedroom also has a full length mirror, closet, ceiling fan, and a wall mounted smart TV.

Between the bedrooms is the bathroom. It contains a large luxuriously tiled shower with canister lighting, frosted window, built-in corner seat, and dual shower heads! Further on is the commode and a single top vanity with plenty of drawers and cabinet space. A frosted window adds to the bright and airy ambiance.

The home’s location is mid-way down beautiful Estero Island, a tropical paradise that still maintains its small island charm. Although a quick drive or trolley ride to Times Square, this tropical paradise is far enough away from the immediate hustle and bustle to afford its guests with quiet serenity for that desired relaxing getaway. This portion of the island offers a 7-mile stretch of white, sugary sand beach, providing a place for daytime beach activities, and to view the endless variety of evening sunsets. Let your imagination be your guide! In addition, one of the island's largest supermarkets and an upscale bistro on the bay is just a short car ride away. Trolley service along the boulevard is available to transport you to Times Square, with all of its restaurants, clubs, and night-life.

Estero Island has numerous restaurants and night-life for your choosing, and you are in the middle of it all location-wise. Closeby are the beach-front Junkanoo Restaurant and Fresh Catch Restaurant. Further south is a theatre and the Santini Marina Plaza with a variety of shops and restaurants. Water activities abound that include jet ski rentals, parasailing, fishing charters, dolphin and sunset tours, as well as other nearby things to do and places to visit. Sanibel Island, world famous for its sea shells, and Fort Myers with its Downtown River District, historic winter homes of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone, lie not far to the north, while to the south is Lover's Key State Park, Bonita Springs, and Naples.
