The villa is authentic Mexican & gorgeous. Susan has seen to every decor detail you can think of. The villa is a sanctuary, beautiful and tranquil. Chuy prepared some outstanding meals and looked after the inside of the villa for us, while Fidel looked after the grounds. We fell in love with it and Puerto Vallarta.
Great sunset from the patio.
We were welcomed with this beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Susan was a very attentive host. House and property are beautiful. Only issue we found was no fault of the owner. There is construction happening next to house so there was construction noise happening all day.

We had a lovely warm welcome from Susan the owner and also Marichuy. We were met with warm smiles and a most welcoming frozen margarita, guacamole, salsa and chips. This was so appreciated after our early morning flight. The home itself is stunning, you can see the care and thought put into every aspect of the propertyThe view from the pool is spectacular and we had no problems using a nearby taxi company when we made our trips too and from downtown area. If you choose to, Marichuy will prepare and cook a wonderful meal too. We did this on our first night and it made for a great start to our vacation. Thank you for opening your home up and we hope to return in the future. Paula

Relaxing and private

The property was very private and relaxing. Many areas that you could sit back and enjoy the surroundings. The area had plenty of things to entertain / from seeing whales off playing to beach side restaurants. Location was important to us Quick drive into romantic zone north or lovely restaurants to the south. Chuey was a fabulous cook for us in preparing daily breakfast. Was a wonderful way to spend our holiday.

Wonderful stay

This is a beautiful home south of PV- it is easy to get to town but be aware during busy times the traffic can be crazy! Marychuy provided three meals for us which were great-reasonably priced and well worth it (better than some of the restaurants we went to!) the pool and grounds are stunning. The house is comfortable, decorated wonderfully and spacious. I highly recommend this wonderful location and home and would happily stay again!

Beautiful tranquil home with wonderful touches

We stayed for a week with our adult children and it was lovely. The pool is great and the caretaker couple are gems. The wife, Marichuy, made us breakfast most days and dinner some days. The cost was extremely reasonable, and she is a great Mexican cook. The birds are amazing and the grounds are lush. A lovely week.

Beautiful Villa

Villa El Nido was absolutely magnificent! Our group of six thoroughly enjoyed every minute at this beautiful villa. We spent a lot of time lazing around the pool area sipping on cocktails and soaking in the sun. Susan was a pleasure to deal with and made us feel at home from the time we arrived. We were a little sad as the villa is already booked for next year during the time we usually travel. Thanks again Susan for making our trip so memorable.

Susan was extremely accessible, and provided great insights for the villa and outside activities. The home, pool, and grounds have been beautifully maintained. Can't Wait to Return

This beautiful, spacious home was the perfect retreat. Susan is a gracious and knowledgeable host, who made renting from her a delight. We took advantage of some tasty meals prepared by Chuy including dinner our first night and the brunch the next morning, which made it easy to arrive and relax. We rented a car and found the house convenient to Puerto Vallarta in one direction and the amazing botanical gardens in the other. Though, one could lounge in the hammock or by the pool and never have to leave the property. One of our best stays anywhere.

Beautiful Villa South of PV

This is an excellent villa equipped with everything you need! Susan was the most outstanding host and Marichuy was a wonderful housekeeper and cook! We did not have a car and the property is located up a long cobblestone hill so be prepared to walk down to the highway. You also need an uber or taxi to get into town. The villa itself is beautiful with a grand view of the bay. The soaking tubs also serve as the showers so getting in and out can be challenging! Overall a great place to stay!

Beautiful house with view to the ocean. This house has everything thing you need plus gorgeous gardens and an amazing heated pool. The house keeper makes amazing chilaquiles verdes you cannot miss them. Susan the owner will give you detailed information on anything you need. We stayed for 9 days and wished we had stayed longer. The house is 5 -10 minutes to the most amazing beaches in P.V. Buses and taxis are very accessible from this location. The house has amazing art throughout and if you love Talavera like me…this is the house to stay as you see Talavera pieces everywhere. 100% recommended!

Piece of heaven!

I had the wonderful privilege of staying in this beautifully decorated, well thought out home. The owner has put so much into every detail of this house...Everything is exquisite! The outdoor/pool area is perfect for lounging and enjoying the pool while looking out at paradise.. The view is breathtaking! I would love to return and take in the wonderful Mexican culture displayed throughout the house while feeling the luxury of all the amenities. I especially liked the feeling of driving up to the gated area to park and closing the gate behind me to enjoy being in my own piece of heaven.

Pure Relaxation

Villa El Nido was superb! Everything that you will need to relax and enjoy on vacation! We arrived to Chuy (The Chef) preparing us fresh guacamole, pico, chips and Frozen Margaritas! No better way to start after traveling all day. We had her prepare dinners and breakfasts several day of of trip. I highly recommend her service and her food is phenomenal. The home is large and accommodating with 3 master suites all with large soaking tubs and showers. The kitchen is fully equipped with every serving utensil one would need. Both sets of glass and plastic for the absolutely stunning pool overlooking the ocean! I would highly recommend Villa El Nido!

The vacation of a lifetime!

Our stay at El Nido was truly the vacation of a lifetime. The house is gorgeous, beyond comfortable and beautifully appointed. The kitchen is quite well equipped, making it easy to cook our own meals, which was nice because we found that our favorite thing to do was stay home and enjoy the wonderful pool and spectacular view. Getting to town was a breeze, requiring only a 2 minute wait for a cab and then a quick (inexpensive) ride took us to all the great restaurants and activities that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. The location of the house is perfect: far enough from the noise and bustle of town to be quiet and serene, with incredible views of jungle and ocean, but close enough to be in the heart of things within minutes. El Nido is now at the top of our list of favorite places and we will definitely be back!

Breathtaking, Amazing, Incredible

Our stay at Susan's was exactly what we needed. Her home is stunning and relaxing with amazing ambiance. It was so nice to have the private pool and hot tub which we used almost every day of our stay. The grounds are beautiful and the jungle being right there was really neat. Chuy was AMAZING!! Her food was so delicious and she and Susan were both so kind and accommodating. They provided just the right amount of privacy while still making sure we were well taken care of at all times. We had Chuy cook us breakfast every single morning except one to due to a very early excursion. She also cooked us dinner most nights. She helped us come up with food options and everything was soooo good. I woke up my first morning home missing her breakfast. Stay here, you'll be so glad you did. Thank you so much Susan and Chuy (and your beautiful family)

Exceeded Expectations!

My family of four stayed at Villa El Nido for 8 incredible days. As we approached our stay we were in easy contact with Ms. Susan whom was very accessible and eager to answer any questions. From the beginning it was clear that she wanted the stay to be as magical as possible and continued to follow up once we returned home. From the beginning Ms. Susan helped ensure that transportation was secured to and from the Villa and this I cannot recommend enough as it made a long day of travel stress free and also ensured we could stop and pick up any commissary items we wanted for the stay. Upon arrival Marychuy greets you with freshly made guacamole and chips and an amazing meal if you have requested one. If you pass up her cooking you are missing out on one of the absolute highlights of the trip. Coordinate with her to prepare as many meals as you can as you will not beat her hospitality or quality in the city. The home is wonderfully laid out and extremely comfortable. I travel for a living and spend more nights on the road than I would like to admit and the absolute comfort and respite found at Villa El Nido is second to none! There is nothing for wanting from the comfortable beds and spacious rooms to the sprawling property and breathtaking views out the back. The quiet and peace is immediate and only disturbed by the enjoyment of the wonderful pool and hot tub! I cannot express my thanks enough to Ms. Susan enough and we will be returning!

Fantastic Home, Owner and Staff

We had the pleasure of staying in this absolutely beautiful home with 2 other couples and it was perfect. Susan, the owner, met us at her home the day we arrived and made us feel like family. She has a great staff (Chuy & Fidel) that came by every morning to clean the house, pool area and yard as well as making sure we had everything we needed for the day. They even made several trips to the store for us throughout the week keeping us well stocked with food, ice and adult beverages. I would highly recommend asking Chuy to prepare an authentic Mexican meal or meals for you during your stay.....You will be so glad you did! All 3 bedrooms have very comfortable king beds and private baths that are beautifully decorated. The 2 upstairs rooms have private balconies with spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding mountains while the downstairs room opened up right to the tropical pool patio. The outside area around the home has several fountains and sitting areas to enjoy and relax as well as a large pool and hot tub that were both kept at the perfect temp for us all week. We spent most of our time outside by the pool, but there is plenty of room inside the home to sit and relax if you need a brake from the sun. There is also a covered patio with a large table and chairs to enjoy meals outside or just sit in the shade and take in the awesome views. I could go on and on about the beautiful decor and attention to detail that Susan did in designing and building her spectacular home, but the bottom line is that if you are looking for a wonderful place to vacation in Puerto Vallarta this villa needs to be on the top of your bucket list. Thank you again Susan for opening your home to us and allowing us to spend a week in the tropical paradise of villa El Nido. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Jon, Kim, Randy, Joanna, Bobby & Shelley

Authentic Mexican Villa - Wonderful!

Susan, the owner, is perfectly lovely and very helpful. The housekeeper Marychuy is helpful and does a great job. Highly recommended having her fix up margaritas, guacamole and pico de gallo for your arrival because it is a wonderful way to settle in. We also opted to have her make us chicken and prawn kebabs with mixed rice and beans that night which made for yummy leftovers for the following days when we decided to stay in. Of course, all the reviews are correct that her Chili Relleno is incredibly good and we had spicy which was prefect (no burning, just a beautiful flavourful bit of heat, so if you like spicy don’t hesitate). Taxis and ubers are plentiful and inexpensive. La Palapa on the beach is a must for dinner and lunch. Tre Piatti is fantastic also, especially the in-house made pastas. Cafe Des Artiste while a stunning garden and a magical setting, is pricey, slower and the food is good but not wow. You can take a cab 5 mins up the road to a beach and for 25$ get a shaded spot on a nice beach and order drinks (mojitos were good). But the best part is the villa. It has everything you need, and very special. The gardens and grounds are perfect and kept immaculate. The dining area outside is an oasis and just so many spots to sit an enjoy throughout the day. There are a few fountains you can turn on and off so while you are using and remember to turn off. The pool and hot tub are wonderful and at your fingertips through the eclipse doors. Umbrella for shade and fans in open air common areas for a breeze if needed. Area feels very safe. Can’t say enough good things! All three rooms are equally lovely. Susan has a treasure and we are just so grateful she opens it up to guests!

El Nido is a very special, wonderful and relaxing home away from home.

This property, along with its wonderful owner Susan, were a perfect combination for our Puerto Vallarta adventure. The home was beautiful and perfect for our needs. It was extremely well laid out with separate bedrooms and baths for each of our party. It was during the day and low 60s at night. The house was perfect for not running the availible air conditioning. We would open up the doors and let the cool air stream in at night and it never got hot during the day. This was very refreshing. The pool, hot tub and deck area were great. We had plenty of chairs and towels and really enjoyed our time out on the deck. The house and the surrounding yard and pool area was very well appointed. We had everything we needed from a great kitchen to wonderful baths and comfortable beds. Though the house was a short ways out of downtown Puerto Vallarta, we had really easy access. The house was very close to town, but gave us privacy and space away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. We used the local taxi many times to our satisfaction. They were very quick to arrive and very good to get us where we needed to go and sometimes back again with the same drivers. The vehicles were safe and we made some friends with the drivers, who were easy to talk to, and work with. The house was a wonderful backdrop, but what really made this vacation special we’re the people. Susan sets the standard. She was extremely helpful in our planning process and either made the reservations, or got us in touch with fantastic contacts, from our pickup from the airport, to the boat captain, to a special trip to the botanical gardens. She also recommended several great restaurants. As a new owner to vacation rental property, I learned so much from Susan. I hope that we can apply her approach to our property. The people make the difference. Chuy was the wonderful house keeper, and part time chef for us. She was very good and thorough. The meals she cooked for us also set the tone. She and Susan greeted us when we arrived with fresh gaucamole and salsa. From that point on she was around a little bit each day and did and excellent job of taking care of the little things. Her meals were very very good. We really appreciated her. We made so many new friends in a very short time. Puerto Vallarta is a wonderful place and we can’t wait to get back. Hopefully El Nido will be available. We would definitely look to stay here again.
