"The Gathering Place" es el lugar perfecto para que su familia se reúna para celebrar a su soldado u ocasión especial. Está convenientemente ubicado cerca de la Interestatal 185 y el norte de Columbus. Compras (Peach Tree Mall y Columbus Park Crossing) y restaurantes están muy cerca. Tenemos 3 habitaciones, todas tienen colchones nuevos Beautyrest Silver, y una habitación separada con futón y TV. Los baños se actualizan y cuentan con una cabina de ducha en el baño principal y bañera de hidromasaje en el baño del pasillo. Sala de estar tiene TV de 50 pulgadas con internet rápido y televisión por cable. La cocina está lista para que cocines una comida especial y una parrilla de carbón está disponible en el porche cubierto. Cercado en el patio trasero para mayor privacidad. Minutos a St. Francis hospital, Chick-fil-a y Starbucks.

OSIT graduation

We stayed at The Gathering Place for our son’s graduation from OSIT. The house far exceeded our expectations. It was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and it was decorated so lovely. We had everything we needed for our few days stay that it truly felt like we were at home. We would most definitely stay here again! Thank you so much everything!

Home away from Home

Excellent location. If you going to cook, well stocked and laid out kitchen and dining. Plenty of room to be together and to be separate when wanting quiet time. Easy access to base for military ceremonies and to sight see. Quiet and safe neighborhood to walk in. Host was extremely attentive before, during and after booking.

Pictures don't do the house justice

We choose this rental for the amount of beds and there being a seperate shower that my geriatric father wouldn't have to step into a bathtub. The pictures didn't do the house justice. Nice quiet neighborhood, clean and cozy. Great communication.GO ARMY!

Very Comfortable Relaxing stay

We came down for a family members turning green ceremony at Fort Benning and really wanted a relaxing spot for our soldier to get away from it all and have some home cooked meals. This property was just that and we couldn't have been in a better environment. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. The kitchen had all of the necessary equipment to make the meals requested and the home felt like home. This was the perfect property for our extended weekend stay and close to where we needed to be. You won't be disappointed if you choose to book this property.

Just what we needed

The Gathering Place was in a great location with the amenities we needed. We visited from out of stat for our son's Ranger school graduation. It was just what we were looking for as a place for all of us to decompress & relax. The beds were also very comfortable. It is in a quiet neighborhood & a good location near the base & highways. Communication with the owner was great. I would recommend to others as well as stay here again.

Great option to stay in Columbus!

Property was in a safe and quiet neighborhood, only a short drive to shopping, dining, downtown attractions and to Ft. Moore. Host was responsive and since we were coming during the coldest, snowiest Jan. in GA, was kind enough to confirm road conditions for us and turned the heat up in advance of our arrival. Home was inviting, had all the amenities you could need and quite comfortable. Will definitely book again if I’m back in the area!

BEST VRBO in GA!

The owner had excellent communication and made check in/out super easy. The property had tons of room. Very comfortable beds too. The kitchen has all the comforts of home including tons of spices, coffee and good creamer! Comfortable living room and backyard to hang out. Separate living room for kids too. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Close to Fort Moore, restaurants, and shopping.

Turning Blue

Belinda has a lovely home with all the amenities needed for our short stay for our son’s basic training graduation. The beds are comfortable, linens are nice. Easy drive to base, downtown Columbus. I would definitely stay again!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This home is CLEAN, quiet and as described. I rent homes regularly on VRBO and this is by far the cleanest and most comfortable home I have stayed in. I love the military appreciation decor.

Prefect Gathering Place

We stayed there last November for our grandsons turning green ceremony. It was exactly what we wanted. Decided to book it again for his turn blue ceremony and graduation. We enjoyed the house because you can stay in a place like home. Nice house and furnishings, quite neighborhood and close to everything like the Infantry Museum. Worth the visit. Perfect host and easy to talk to and listens. Would definitely stay there when in the area.

Great place to stay!!

We stayed here for our son's turning blue ceremony & graduation. This was a great place to stay!! Located in a safe quiet neighborhood that was a short drive to the base. House was exactly as listed. Belinda was very courteous & helpful. Would highly recommend & will try to stay here again for our son's Airborne graduation.

Fort Moore (Benning) Graduation

This was the perfect spot for our family to relax while attending our son’s Ranger School graduation! The house was comfortable and clean with space for everyone (even a kids’ area with games and puzzles). The host was very responsive and worked with us as we had to change dates 3 times (Recycles…if you know, you know😁)! We will definitely rebook as needed!

Great home and great location

Like most families we were there for our grandsons turning green ceremony celebration. Also it was Thanksgiving week. We were able to have and enjoy our families Thanksgiving dinner with some relatives that were staying in a hotel. It is truly a great “GATHERING PLACE”. Cooked and grilled as if we were at home. Sitting in the backyard and under the covered patio, laughing, taking pictures and enjoying the time with our SOLIDER. Our family liked it so well that before we left we have already booked it for our grandson’s turning blue ceremony and graduation in March 2024. Belinda was the perfect host, so informative and helpful on everything. Family from Shreveport, Louisiana.

Perfect for a graduation celebration or any visit!

Perfect! Will not hesitate to book again without looking if we have the opportunity to get back in the area. The other parties in our group that stayed in hotels were so jealous. Clean, accommodating, spacious, affordable, & safe. Quiet neighborhood right in between everything in the area. Excellent stay!

Great Home Away From Home

My husband, daughter and mother stayed at The Gathering Place this past week in order to be able to attend my son’s Turning Green and Graduation ceremonies from his Basic Training at Fort Benning. The location was perfect. It was only about a 15 minute drive to the base. There are numerous restaurants in the area. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. The house was perfect for our stay. We all slept great in our own rooms. The house is exactly as described. Everything was neat and clean and the Wi-Fi supported all our needs. This place made our experience even better, when all we wanted to do was see our new Soldier. 10/10 rating and would definitely stay here again if I was ever in the area. Thank you, Belinda, for allowing us to be your guests!

Attended My Son’s Graduation at Ft Moore

We had a fantastic stay at this property. The host was wonderful. She gave great instructions and was responsive to all communications. The beds were really comfortable and the house was spotless clean. Nice neighborhood. We felt at home while we were there to attend my son’s graduation at Ft Moore. The location was perfect, real close to the Army Base and to downtown Columbus. I appreciated the restaurant recommendations. Great trip and would definitely stay there again.

Clean property and thoughtful extras

My husband and I stayed with another couple for a weekend. Property was clean with plenty of towels and just the right kitchen essentials along with some extras - we were grateful for the bottled water, butter, pancake mix, syrup, coffee, etc that got us through the first couple of days. Great location and comfy living quarters. We enjoyed our stay!

Quiet, safe, peaceful neighborhood located within minutes of 185 and just 15 minutes to the Visitors Gate at Fort Benning. The mattresses were purchased in January 2020. The home is located within literally minutes of a major mall, CFA, Starbucks, and many other popular places. A major hospital is located within 5 minutes!
