We stayed here while in town for our son’s Army graduation, and it was the perfect place for our visit. The location was wonderful—very close to the base and several restaurants, which made it easy for us to go back and relax at the house and spend time with family between events. The owner was also very responsive with communication as well. We had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend staying here!

The host was excellent and very accommodating. The house was perfect and exceptionally clean . There were extra items to help with your stay that most condos do not provide. The neighborhood was safe to walk around and explore.

Amazing stay!

We came for our son’s Army graduation and had such a perfect time at this location! Wonderful place to stay, close to the base so we could relax at the house with family! Great communication from the owner! We DEFINITELY would recommend staying here!

OSIT graduation

We stayed at The Gathering Place for our son’s graduation from OSIT. The house far exceeded our expectations. It was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and it was decorated so lovely. We had everything we needed for our few days stay that it truly felt like we were at home. We would most definitely stay here again! Thank you so much everything!

Belinda was a great host! She allowed us to check in early to get ready for an event on base, it was so helpful. The house was perfect for what we needed and was exactly as described on the website.

Very nice and a great size!

Close to Fort Benning and the perfect size for our family to gather and visit. Belinda and her husband were very responsive to my text and calls! I would recommend and stay again.

Home away from Home

Excellent location. If you going to cook, well stocked and laid out kitchen and dining. Plenty of room to be together and to be separate when wanting quiet time. Easy access to base for military ceremonies and to sight see. Quiet and safe neighborhood to walk in. Host was extremely attentive before, during and after booking.

Great place to stay!!

We stayed here for our son's turning blue ceremony & graduation. This was a great place to stay!! Located in a safe quiet neighborhood that was a short drive to the base. House was exactly as listed. Belinda was very courteous & helpful. Would highly recommend & will try to stay here again for our son's Airborne graduation.

Turning Blue

Belinda has a lovely home with all the amenities needed for our short stay for our son’s basic training graduation. The beds are comfortable, linens are nice. Easy drive to base, downtown Columbus. I would definitely stay again!

Great option to stay in Columbus!

Property was in a safe and quiet neighborhood, only a short drive to shopping, dining, downtown attractions and to Ft. Moore. Host was responsive and since we were coming during the coldest, snowiest Jan. in GA, was kind enough to confirm road conditions for us and turned the heat up in advance of our arrival. Home was inviting, had all the amenities you could need and quite comfortable. Will definitely book again if I’m back in the area!

Just what we needed

The Gathering Place was in a great location with the amenities we needed. We visited from out of stat for our son's Ranger school graduation. It was just what we were looking for as a place for all of us to decompress & relax. The beds were also very comfortable. It is in a quiet neighborhood & a good location near the base & highways. Communication with the owner was great. I would recommend to others as well as stay here again.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This home is CLEAN, quiet and as described. I rent homes regularly on VRBO and this is by far the cleanest and most comfortable home I have stayed in. I love the military appreciation decor.

Perfect for a graduation celebration or any visit!

Perfect! Will not hesitate to book again without looking if we have the opportunity to get back in the area. The other parties in our group that stayed in hotels were so jealous. Clean, accommodating, spacious, affordable, & safe. Quiet neighborhood right in between everything in the area. Excellent stay!

Clean property and thoughtful extras

My husband and I stayed with another couple for a weekend. Property was clean with plenty of towels and just the right kitchen essentials along with some extras - we were grateful for the bottled water, butter, pancake mix, syrup, coffee, etc that got us through the first couple of days. Great location and comfy living quarters. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect!

This was the perfect home away from home while we were in Georgia for my son's graduation from basic training. We had everything we needed plus some! Will likely return for my son graduation from AIT next year!

Quiet, safe, peaceful neighborhood located within minutes of 185 and just 15 minutes to the Visitors Gate at Fort Benning. The mattresses were purchased in January 2020. The home is located within literally minutes of a major mall, CFA, Starbucks, and many other popular places. A major hospital is located within 5 minutes!
