Iris and her friends had a great time, they really enjoyed Puerto Escondido and also the house, they are welcomed back anytime

We are very sorry our guests had to deal with this unfortunate situation. The Road block started the day before they arrived and we had no idea how long it would last. We did inform the guests that the only way to get to the house was to walk through the road block. Unfortunately, this was out of our control. FYI the temperature in Puerto Never gets over 90 and it was 87 that day a big difference from 100. Our driver was there at the airport with a sign that had the guests name on it, I assume they did not look very hard before getting into a taxi. There check in time was scheduled to be after 11am and they took it upon themselves to show up before there scheduled check in time at 9:30am, luckily our housekeeper was there to let them in although the house was not ready. I arrived at the house at 10:30 to greet the guest and show them the workings of the house to find out they check themselves in and left the house to go to the beach, I called them after many attempts they finally answered to let me know they were not planning to return for many hours. They told me that they would call if they had any problems. So, no instructions were given. Once I was told there was no water, AGAIN out of our control. I arrived at the house to see how I could fix the problem. One thing she is correct about is that the water truck that we call to fill the water tank for the house is located on the other side of the road block, so they can not get to the house with water. The unfortunate reality was we were not told by anyone including the guests that there was a truck at the house filling up the tank bucket by bucket. I can assure you if we did know we would have sent help. The response to her question about others having water was simply their tanks were full and just bad timing ours was ready to be filled just before this protest. I guess she chose not to hear this because this was all explained to her. If she would have checked her messages, she would have seen the many text I sent explaining what we were doing to resolve this problem. We are truly sorry our guest had to deal with this, but we did do everything possible to resolve the problem, even buy first offering an empty house next door for them to shower, and their choice was not to use the house. Also, we did get a truck of water to fill the house tank for them to shower in the next morning. unlike what she is saying we did work hard to resolve this problem and thankfully given all the hurdles we had to jump over we did fix the problem. Instead of putting it past them and attempting to enjoy the rest of their time they just became disgruntled guest for the next 3 days, that commented that they would be asking for a full refund and would leave a horrible review witch they did. I can take a bad review if all the facts are true and not exaggerated to get the result of a full refund. I do understand their frustration, but sometimes one just needs to try and make the best of a bad situation and not let one bad day ruin there week. This situation was unfortunate.

Robert was the perfect guest. He was very respectful and polite. We would welcome him back any time. It is always nice to have such great people come to Puerto and enjoy our amazing beach town.
