  • Fabulous beach holiday!

"Wonderful beach home outside of Puerto Escondido. I spent a week celebrating my 60th birthday with family and friends. We were in paradise! So relaxing, quiet and beautiful. The caretaker was wonderful and responsive. The place incredibly clean. Lovely uncrowded beach for long walks- We hired the cook which I would recommend. Her food was beyond expectation! We shared our meal preferences- everything else taken care of, even the shopping if we wished. It made for a truly relaxing, heavenly get away with little effort on our part. Would definitely go back!"

  • Great condo!

"We spent a week here in January. The condo was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. There are plenty of windows which allow for a nice cross breeze and eliminate the need for air conditioning. The tv had plenty of English speaking channels. The pool was clean and the grounds were well kept. These condos are about 10 minutes from Puerto Escondido and just up a hill from the farming village of Bajos de Chila. We had a rental car so getting into town was never an issue for us, but the location might be a bit inconvenient if you don't have your own transportation. We really enjoyed our week here, including the early morning braying donkeys and crowing roosters from the nearby farms. We would definitely come back!!"

  • Wish we'd stayed longer

"What a wonderful vacation! The house is beautifully decorated but also feels laid back enough so we didn't feel bad walking around wet or sandy. I was there with my two kids (10 and 13) so that was important. We mostly relaxed by the pool after going into town the first day with the caretaker and his wife to buy groceries and some pool toys. He drove us and she picked out the food that we would need for the week. Having never been to Mexico my kids and I had a blast seeing the local market where we got fresh fish and fruits and vegetables (we also bought a hammock to bring home, some clothes and other knick knacks). The caretaker also found us a great surf teacher in town who my kids took lessons from for two of the days we were there. The surf teacher was Rene at Central Surf. He and his EIGHT brothers (God bless his mother) have owned and operated their shop since the beginning of the surf surge in Puerto Escondido. The cook made amazing fresh meals for us everyday so I didn't have to lift a finger. I was really free to enjoy our surroundings and relax. One afternoon when we were walking down the beach my kids and I found two sets of turtle tracks that led to two nests. Unfortunately the tide had washed most of the eggs around the beach but it was an amazing thing to see. People with kids who love to swim in the ocean should be warned though that the currents are risky on this beach. I didn't let my kids do anything other than body surf right at the shore. The owner of the house had warned me of this so we were prepared. Oh and the wifi connection is great! So when we needed a little break from all the sun, sand and pool we would all go into our rooms or take separate couches in the living room and watch a little streaming tv. :) I hope we will be able to make this trip again next year!"

  • Exquisite Home in Paradise

"We just spent 10 days in paradise! My husband and I and our teenage son felt very well taken care of by the staff, who are tireless. They live on the grounds in a separate little house and somehow managed to be there when we needed them but were unobtrusive and respectful of our privacy. And then there’s the beach. It stretches for miles in both directions and is essentially private. We took long walks at sunrise and sunset almost every day—a really glorious experience. And for our 15 year-old son, the surfing at La Punta was the main attraction. La Punta is about a 10-minute drive from Casa de los Suenos, and it’s a beautiful protected cove beach with palapa restaurants. And most importantly for him, daily surf lessons with excellent instructors. As to the house itself, it’s flawlessly gorgeous with perfect details and finishings. I’m an interior designer, and I got a lot of inspiration from our stay in this beautifully thought-out house. The owner was very responsive during the booking process and available to promptly respond to any questions we had. There is also a property manager who visited every other day to make sure that we had everything we needed, and the on-site couple who maintain the property were endlessly patient with us. Highly recommend! We will be back."
