Bathroom drawer had roaches which we sprayed and clean. Doors were hard to open. Location was amazing and is very quiet place. Would stay again.

Nice beach get away!

We definitely enjoyed our visit to Surfside! Amazing view of the ocean, love walking right on the boardwalk to the ocean, easy to find, lots of space and nice to have the laundry. Improvements: the mattress on the pull out couch is not sufficient, need lamps on night stand, need measuring cups. Would definitely come back. One teenager slept on the actual couch and the other had to sleep on an air mattress, thank goodness we brought it just in case. Wish we were notified before we got there that the wifi was out. We would have brought movies to watch on the cold and rainy day we were there. Thank you for letting us stay!

Beautiful View

Beautiful property, great location to view the ocean! There were quite a few broken items on the property we rented that were not mentioned which caused a few small issues but nothing we couldn't work around. Also, the Bluetooth AC unit kept adjusting itself especially in the middle of the night. We would wake up sweating and it would be on 85. This same situation would happen intermittently even when we would try to adjust it. Would have had a 5 star but between the broken items and the Bluetooth ac unit having a mind of it's own we had a slightly frustrating stay.

Upstairs AC not working 2 out of 3 days

The unit was great, the location was great, but the upstairs AC unit was not working 2 out of our 3 day stay making the upstairs bedroom and bathroom unusable. We had guests invited to stay there and they left after first night when “repaired” AC only stayed oil about 4 hours. We are expecting a partial refund of our rental. The local contact for managing the property showed no urgency in dealing with the last of air conditioning throughout the unit.

Hi Rhonda, we're glad you enjoyed this property overall, but we're sorry you had an issue with the air conditioner. The homeowner let us know that they attempted to find a technician immediately after you reached out. It was difficult to find someone on short notice, but they were able to send a tech out the next day. Unfortunately, their initial fix was only temporary, but the owner sent them out again when you let them know it was still causing problems. They were able to repair it, and the AC has been working great since then. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused, and we can assure you that this owner always does all they can to resolve issues quickly.

Mattress stunk and was badly stained

If it weren’t for a few hiccups, this would have been a nice vacation. The company first forgot to send a code for the house. We got past it quickly. Then when we got in, the fridge was broken and stunk like dead fish. They had provided a small one in the laundryroom for our use. Then we found that our bed had been peed on. Whoever cleaned just left the pee soaked mattress pad on it and put a sheet on top of it. It stunk so bad it was hard to even be in the room. We could smell it from the hallway. Then the company decided that they were going to have workers come in the house while we were there and remove the refridgerator and replace it. We told then no and to wait to work on it when the house was empty. They insisted. So we checked out early.

We were notified of the malfunction before your check-in however, delivery was unavailable until March 10th. We are glad we could provide a medium-sized refrigerator in the meantime. -We can assure the home was deep cleaned by a professional cleaning company before your stay, so there should not have been any bad odors in the home as cleanliness and sanitization are our top priorities. That being said, we apologize for your experience and will look into what may have caused it. -While we acted as quickly as possible to resolve the issue and provided a refund for the cleaning fee, we understand how impactful this can be on your travels. Please know that we've taken the appropriate steps to ensure this does not recur for future guests. Thanks for your valuable feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!

Bright and breezy

Entire process went smoothly. Place is very bright with great ocean views. Was pretty clean and very well-stocked - including beach towels that we didn’t use, but was still nice. Beds and couches were comfortable, everything was in good working order. Best part was waking up in the morning and looking straight out on the ocean.

Perfect location

The property was great. It was me and my daughter and I enjoyed being so close you could walk back and forth between the room and the beach so easily. On communication I put it as ok because I never spoke with them so I had no need of communication and so really have no rating on it.

We had such a great time at Surfside Serenity. This beach house is awesome, very clean and has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is fully equipped with perfect working appliances and well stocked with utensils. We loved the lighting throughout the house, as well as the outside. We really liked that you can roll the shutters down at night and feel secure while sleeping. The bed was comfortable and the living room furniture is nice and clean. The shower is roomy with a nice shower head and the water pressure is good. As to previous comments about the water, it is Well water and has an odor when you first turn the water on but goes away and it does not stay on your skin and make you stink, the water is fine. The deck has lots of room, plenty of beach furniture and great views of the beach. Easy access to the beach with the walk over. I do recommend this house if you would like a nice, well designed, roomy clean beach house.

We had such a great time at Surfside Serenity. This beach house is awesome, very clean and has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is fully equipped with perfect working appliances and all the utensils you need. We loved the lighting throughout the house, the lighting on the outside as well and we loved the fact that you can roll the shutters down and felt secure while sleeping. The bed was comfortable and the living room furniture is nice and clean. The shower was roomy and the water pressure is good with nice shower head. As to previous comments about the water, it is Well water and has an odor when you first turn the water on but goes away and it does not stay on your skin and make you stink, the water is fine. The deck has a lot of room and has plenty of furniture with beautiful views of the beach. Easy access to the beach with the walk over. I do recommend this house if you would like a nice, well designed, roomy clean beach house.

Loved it here!

We had a great time enjoying the gorgeous views from this house. The house was clean and had everything we needed and more. The kids slept upstairs and each were able to sleep in their own bed. This is a great location and the house was fantastic!

House lived up to and exceeded expectations. In addition to the great view being directly on the beach, there are also beautiful views of the salt marsh and inter-coastal in the opposite direction. Well-stocked kitchen. We had a lovely stay.

Nice house....not perfect.

The house was nice was nice and proximity to the beach was nice. Overall a good house. The problems that I had were , number one, the water. It had a terrible smell and I could not take a bath or stay in the shower longer than it took just to quickly wash and get out and the smell lingered. I don't know if it needed to be treated or if it's just like that. it really bothered me. Ais. Also the deck has no shade whatsoever no shelter if it rained and you wanna sit out there. I called and asked if there was an umbrella that I could use or pick up and fairly rudely was saying we don't have anything like that . So as I said it's a nice house.... But for the reasons that I stated I'm not sure I would stay there again. Also the night I checked in the power went out and the shutters on the house went down and the power stayed off for hours and I could do nothing when I tried to call to find out what to do what to do I was pretty nice to told well I don't really know and I was left on my own to try to figure out how to get out of this house in case A fire or something like that period I was shocked there was no way to open the shutters when the power went out. The owners were not in town at the time and when they came back they emailed me and credited me $100 because of that reason, however again because of the problems I mentioned I mentioned I'm not sure I would stay there again.

Not what we expected.

The property looks nice. But needs better management. The property had m&m's under the sofas upstairs and a food wrapper in front of the tv downstairs when we came in. This indicates it is not cleaned on a regular basis. The smell in the property knocks you over everytime you walk in. It smells like formaldehyde or moth balls. I am not sure if it is due to the containers or the insulation used in the property. On our last day we had no water pressure and at some point no water. When we contacted the property manager she asked us to change the water filters on the water softener. I asked her if she had any new water filters. She didn't answer me. I didn't pay over $2k to manage the property. She said she would get someone out to fix it but later said she couldn't. Which tells me they don't have a regular team in place. We left earlier than we intended on our last day. The view is nice. The property has a shared well with the other properties and this means if one impacts the well you are all out of water. I have never seen multiple properties on one well. I think it boils down to would you stay again. My answer is no.

Property was remote and quiet, new and clean. Nicely decorated and has everything you need. upper deck has no cover and it rained our entire trip, so we couldn't really enjoy the deck much. But a great place to relax and get away from it all!
