Good and bad

We have stayed at Sands Villas many times before, in a different unit. This particular unit had a lovely view and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The pool, and beach access were wonderful. There were several problems, however. When we arrived, the check in code for the gate was incorrect. Luckily we were able to get a hold of the host for the correct code. The unit itself had enough space for the five of us, however, there were no sheets or pillows for either of the fold out couches. Several light bulbs were burned out and there were no extras in the unit. The thermostat was frustrating. We would set it at 72 or 73, and then it would continually turn off. We tried very hard to figure that out but we were unable to get the AC unit to stay on. Finally, the shower curtains in both bathrooms were filthy, with red and black mold, and the master shower had black mold in the corner. We contacted the host about the above concerns and they did not respond. I would not stay in this unit again.

Great vacation spot!

This unit was the perfect size for my family of 5. Cozy with a great view and the property is conveniently located near the circle, but just far enough away from all the traffic. There’s plenty to do with the beach, pools, tennis courts and grills. We also felt very safe with the gated entry and security personnel presence. We hope to stay again soon!

Lovely view and amenities, could use some updates

The property had a lovely view of the ocean, dunes, and grounds, which was our main criteria when searching. I wanted to be able to drink my morning coffee and see the ocean, and this unit is perfect for that. The playground and pool were an added bonus for our toddler. The elevators and luggage trolleys are extremely convenient and a luxury we have not had at other vacation rentals. The unit is in need of a deep clean, as the kitchen cabinets and showers seemed a bit grimy. The master shower was clogged when we arrived and remained clogged until after we left (4 nights) even though we did contact the owners and the maintenance staff immediately upon discovery. As it is a handicapped walk-in shower, this could have lead to flooding so we weren't able to it really. The master bed is as my husband described, "like sleeping on a piece of styrofoam." So if you prefer a soft comfortable mattress this bed is not for you. The second bedroom was perfect for my toddlers pack-n-play and our travel blackout curtains for her.

Not what I expected

This property is a bit old and is in need updating. The master bedroom door didn’t close all the way, the couches are dirty, there were no extra sheets, blankets or linens of any kind..not even for the fold out in the living room. The owner was very responsive and offered to have the cleaning service come, but I didn’t see the point. For the money that we spent to stay 3 nights…it is simply not up to par.

The condo has everything you need, perfect location. Steven was very helpful and accommodating during our stay regarding any questions we had about the condo. We plan on making our getaway to Atlantic Beach a yearly tradition, with the intention of booking the same condo.

We had a great time and enjoyed the areas restaurants. we have been staying at the Sands for at least 20 years. For a number of years we stayed for a month as we have family in the area. This unit is one of the nicest units we have stayed in.

Fisherman friendly condo!

This is a great little condo. Beautiful view of the ocean, indoor & outdoor pool that the kids loved and the best part, a large open parking lot with plenty of boat/trailer parking. It was difficult to find a place that accommodated a boat and trailer this fall and this place was perfect!

Lovely Condo

We had never been to Atlantic Beach, but were excited for a new adventure! Loved the condo and it was perfect for my family. The condo was super clean and well stocked. Ocean views were beautiful. We will definitely be making this a frequent place to stay!

Short but sweet!!

Our time there was short. We had a few days to get away before returning to in school classes but we all had a great time. The condo was well equipped with everything you would need. Thanks for a pleasant experience.
