Join us in the coastal township of Lake Onoke/Ferry. Gateway to Cape Palliser and the South Wairarapa coast.

Your own private getaway with the coast on your doorstep.

Have a great day out (or in - its just as awesome) and stroll to the local pub for dinner (do check the website though - lakeferryhotel).

Pirinoa Store & The Land Girl are 15 minutes up the road for your grocery and coffee/cafe needs.

Lovely little place, great place to get away from technology as there is no wifi or connectivity. short walk to the sea and beaches, hosts were accommodating, enjoyed the stay, although the spa needs to be cleaned.

Pet friendly, closed in yard for our dog. Cool lil fire. Wished it was colder so we had an excuse to light it. Great location close to the beach for walks an bonus with lake ferry hotel for a cold drink an bite to eat. Grocery store bout 9 minutes away. Loved it.

Short but sweet

Loved the stay! Such a cute and comfy little batch. We loved being able to relax in the spa after a long day at the beach, I would recommend.

Cosy winter location

If your looking for a cosy winter get away with a fire and hot tub this place is great30 mins to palliser bay, 30 mins to fetherson or martinbrough so a.good place to base your self. Well be back.

We liked how you had your own entrance, driveway. Was private to the owners house. Had everything we needed for a couple of nights. Dog friendly soo we could bring our little dog with us.

Pleasant stay

This is an authentic old bach with the added bonus of an outdoor spa. Though it’s located on the property of the owner it is private. It was tidy and clean with a comfortable bed. It wasn’t as close to the Lake Ferry hotel as we’d ideally have liked but overall it was an enjoyable stay in an interesting area for exploring Palliser Bay.

Comfy, homely, private bach. Spa :) great shower, efficient small wood burner. We couldn't see how to turn on the TV so a sheet of instructions would have been nice.

Great location though the bnb property leaves a poor first impression with four vehicles parked in same entrance area and close neighbours on two other sides. Great job in providing a privacy area for outside seats and spa. Our only gripe was that the spa pool was cold and needed 8 hrs to heat. As we were only staying one night and a spa was our main point of visiting this was disappointing as I had mentioned it while booking. The fire was also difficult to light as there was no kindling or fire starters. We would have enjoyed our stay but for two simple things that I would think were no brainers for a thoughtful host.
