Gorgeous self-contained studio apartment, with high vaulted ceiling and skylights adding to the sense of space. Full kitchen facilities, lovely bathroom and super-comfy bed. Huge decks looking out to lush tropical gardens. set in a private position at the rear of the former village church (now also boutique accommodation). Located midway between the hotspots of Omaha & Matakana. Stroll to esplanade reserve for a relaxing dip in warm harbour waters or relax with a great coffee or superb fish & chips from the Dairy on the corner.

Fabulous stay

We loved our trip to Point Wells. The property was beautiful and everything we needed. Andrew was the perfect host with great communication. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect spot

Lovely property and just like the photos. Stunning new property and had everything we needed. Easy drive to Matakana and Leigh. Very quiet and lovely deck to sit outside in the comfy bean bags. Hope to come and stay again soon

Great little spot

Perfect, couldn't ask for anything better. Great spot with corner shop a stones throw away, for takeaways and supplies if you need. Very tidy, quaint accommodation. Perfect for a short getaway!

Lovely place to stay

I stayed in the chapel at the back of the property. It was clean, modern, and well maintained. The location was perfect for me and there was plenty of information about the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend! Thank you for a wonderful stay

Beautiful studio in great location!

This was the perfect location for us to access beautiful cliff side hikes, sandy beaches, and a fun mail run boat tour from Sandspit to Kawau Island. Our host was very accommodating and the studio apartment had everything we needed and was very welcoming.

Family holiday

We love staying at this accommodation. One year we stayed at the chapel and decided this time to try the abby and the beautiful villa. It worked so well for our extended family. Andrew is always so helpful and accommodating. The fact it comes with beds made and towels provided speaks volumes about tradition value for money. It allow us to have an affordable holiday more regularly.

So quiet, it's like seeing in a soundproof room! Open plan, super high ceilings give sense of space. All chattels as listed. Great bathroom, fresh rain water. Didn't want to leave. Love it.

Wonderful private spot with easy access to all the region's highlights!

I stayed at this lovely property for 3 nights upon my arrival in NZ. It was the perfect way to start my stay. It is exactly as described in the listing, super easy to find and access was simple. This was a return trip to the region for me and was reminded immediately why I love it so much. Don't miss the good eats at the Dairy on the corner. Andrew was a terrific and responsive host, and I had no issues at all. Thanks so much for having me...I would definitely stay again!

HEAVEN

Everything was perfect - you had anything you could possibly need supplied for you, location was to die for, the house was the perfect space for two with a middle island which was easy to move around to create more space - windows EVERYWHERE and the black out curtains are perfect for that morning sun if you want a sleep in. Everything was a 10/10 and we WILL be returning for our next adventure! Thank you Andrew for letting us into your space :)

Perfect beach house stay

Wonderful modern property! Exceeded expectations. Had everything we needed for a short stay. Walk to local shop, walk to park & a short drive to Omaha beach or into Matakana for the cute markets. Andrew was quick and easy to communicate and appreciated his flexibility with us bringing our children with our own pop up mattress as property only has one bed. I loved this beach house so much the deck area was perfect for kids to play and had a lovely indoor outdoor flow. We were able to make a proper breakfast with the full kitchen too & clean up easily with the dishwasher. Cannot fault anything thank you

Private Studio appartment

It was a hot day when we arrived at 2.30 pm Very hot inside caused by sliding window doors We opened them and things cooled down; It was a repeat when we got home that night at about 10 pm: We opened all sliding doors and sat in the dark for an hour All ok after that; the next days not so hot but important to open all doors The TV needs some more explicit instructions; got there in the end On positive side; very private and quite and nice garden surroundings

Hi Dennis, I'm glad you enjoyed the property, but surprised you didn't just use the aircon to cool the place down. It is a big unit so cools very effectively.

Pretty disappointed in this review. I cleaned the toilet and bathroom myself both before and after this guest and these were spotless as always. I did not see a razor in the shower and no cloths under the furniture. Yes there was a small amount of leakage from a bottle or similar in the bottom of the recycling container, but certainly not enough to warrant a 3 star review.

Ideal for couples!

Lovely apartment in a quiet area of Point Wells. Very handy for local store. Everything you need including sky sport (the World Cup was on!) Netflix for evening movies. Kitchen has everything you might need if you are doing your own catering. No views as such but your handy for day trips to Matakana or the Reptile Park and Goat Island. Would definiltely stay again.
