Great place to stay - our family enjoyed having the extra space a hotel would not have provided.
great girls weekend
Everything was pretty much as described! It was everything we needed, could have wanted and more. My only suggestions would be is to let everyone know there is a keurig and coffee pot. We could only see the pot from the picture and ran out after the 1st night and grabbed k-cups (which we would have brought with us). Silly thing - but missed having tissues around :)
We came in right after a "storm" so the beach was expected to be a little disheveled however, that is not what we came to find. The beach was disappointing. There was no beach, it was all just rocks. And I would hope because it was after a storm, it was very dirty! It was littered with so much junk, even close to the steps. The chairs had not been set up yet either. And lastly, we had gone out at sunrise and while looking for sea-glass, at the shoreline, we discovered a very large animal, a deer perhaps, that was half buried, badly decomposed, along with what appeared to be either a rat or squirrel. When we walked back to the door, we were met by two gentlemen. We came to find that they were owners so we went on to explain to them what we found. They said that they would get someone to clean it up. Later that evening, we went down to watch the sunset. There were others on the beach. Some were around a fire and others walking near the animal. They knew about it because they yelled to her to watch for it and not step on it!? So, it hadn't been cleaned up even after telling owners? And others knew about it too? The condo itself was beautiful and great! But, I'm not so sure about the beach.
Condo was amazing!!!!!
Everything was clean and the lake view is amazing!! It was a great weekend getaway for us!
Thanks for taking the time to do a review. Doesn't matter what time of year you visit---the view is spectacular. You should see our sunsets in the summer and fall. Thanks for leaving the place in such great shape---the perfect guests. Hope to see you again. Debbie
The condo is beautiful! Well kept and an open floor plan!!! Will definitely return!
Debbie is very easy to work with and easy to get ahold of and talk to! Had the pleasure of meeting her at the condo!! Thanks again for everything Debbie!!!
What a fun group of friends! Wish the weather would have been better for you but I don't think it mattered---anytime I ran into any of you in the hall there was no sign of it affecting the stay. Thanks for taking care of the condo and leaving it in such good shape. Hope to see you all again. Deb
Beautiful spacious condo!
Pros- for us it was a great home away from home for our swim meet at SPIRE. Roomy, comfortable and had everything we needed. Owner also worked with us on check-out time.
Cons- Condo was 62 when we checked in and took a good 12 hours to come up to a comfortable temp. We had to turn on the fireplace each night in the bedroom to keep warm. I would also recommend putting room darkening shades in the bedrooms with windows. The light from the parking lot at night keeps the room from getting dark.
Really is a great place and we would stay here again!
I will certainly consider the darkening shades---never had that suggested to me before. And again with the temp. It is common practice to keep the units ( all of them ) at 60 degrees when they are empty. No one has ever said it took that long to warm the place up and it has been rented every weekend in the winter. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Everything went perfectly, from booking to re booking again for next year. Condo was clean, comfortable, and met all of our needs.
That's what I like to hear. And you left it as you found it---my perfect guest! See you next Feb. Debbie
Always a must---Geneva-on-the-Lake traditions---Eddie's Grill and Madsen Donuts
