Lola's cottage is a well appointed two-bedroom cottage with neutral tones and country modern decor. Drenched in natural sunlight, this lovely cottage offers convenience, a timber deck and a grassy backyard. Situated in the northern side of Broken Hill, a stones throw from Shelly’s corner store or a leisurely stroll downtown. Lola's cottage provides a home away from home; as soon as you enter, you will feel so comfortable.

The sun-drenched easterly aspect of the timber deck makes it a lovely spot for breakfast or a newspaper read. It has a good street presence and a fragrant garden. If you are sharing accommodation for work, the cottage has separate spaces that allow you to spend time alone. The internal areas of the cottage are floorboards and tiles, with the bedrooms carpeted.

The kitchen is very practical, with a gas stove, new appliances, and fresh cutlery and crockery updated at all times. A pod coffee machine is also fitted for the coffee lovers.

Lola's is a pet friendly cottage for small pets only, please contact us about your needs.

Lola's cottage is situation on a main street, and while some trucks pass during the day in a country town, it’s not a bother at all and the nights are tranquil quiet. The cottage is about 1.7km away from centre of town, which will not interfere with your stay and centrally located to all the attractions such as the pool, parks, gyms and restaurants.

A grassed backyard, and an external laundry, and a private entrance with a remote roller door access that is lockable and a covered carport (for a small/ medium car) for one car will complete your stay. There is ample street parking as well right at the front of the property.

Lola's cottage offers extra comfort and technology with WI-FI, TV, as well as evaporated cooling throughout and fans in each bedroom. Gas heating in the main area which heats up the whole place, there are also heaters in the rooms. We can include sleeping blankets on request.

The property was comfortable and easy to find. The traffic was a bit noisy with road trains going past, but they did settle down during the night. It would have been nice to have a face washer. Nicely furnished. Heating was good.

A week at Lola's

Very comfy beds, kitchen well equipped, good location with 2 large frangipannis for privacy from street which is the main Barrier highway so is a bit noisy. We still enjoyed having morning coffee on the sunny front verandah.

Lovely recently renovated cottage conveniently located

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, comfortable, recently renovated cottage located minutes from the centre of Broken Hill - less than 5 minute drive or easy walk in to town if you prefer. The hosts provided excellent information on the property, great advice on placed to visit around Broken Hill, and good places to eat. The Tydvil Hotel is close by and had great meals. The hosts were also very responsive to any questions we had about the place. We would love to stay here again next time we come to Broken Hill.

Review of the property

Good location, easy access. Passing traffic at night could be an issue for some, but after all the property is situated next to a pretty major highway. On the plus side it was clean, tidy and comfortable. Good for a short stay and for exploring what Broken Hill has to offer.

Perfect for our stay in Broken Hill

Lola's cottage was the perfect location for our Broken Hill stay. It is welcoming and practical so that we were able to have our small dogs join us on our trip. The backyard was fully enclosed so we were able to leave our dogs for short periods. The neighbourhood was perfect to walk in and the cottage very well equipped..

Cosy & convenient

Janine was great to deal with and the property perfectly described. Recently renovated with many mod cons, we found it cosy and inviting. It handled two couples and extremely heavy overnight rain very well. Service shops were quite near by.

Hello, and welcome to our little cottage in Broken Hill. We are a small family, local to Broken Hill and the surrounds and we absolutely love hosting family and friends. We take pride in everything we do and we are very passionate about tourism and hospitality. Having worked in the industry for over 10 years, Janine knows what it takes to make guests feel warm and welcome.

Why they chose this property

This property is a cosy cottage located in the highly sought after northern side of Broken Hill. It is on the main road with some light road noise but you can’t really notice it once the front door is closed and you have music or TV on. It’s a great spot to be in amongst the towns activity but a good distance away for down time. This property is design to be a home away from home, comfortable new furniture, which is regularly updated. Lola’s cottage is named after my mother, and seems to fit right for what it is; Warm cosy and safe.

What makes this property unique

The unique benefits of Lola’s cottage is there js a corner store across the road that is well stocked and just around the corner you have the local newsagent, KFC, hairdresser and other shops for convenience. The main town square is 1.5kms, so a nice stroll down the road and you’re in the heart of town, cafes, restaurants, supermarket and historical landmarks you can enjoy.

Lola’s cottage is positioned to the north eastern, so you can enjoy the sunrising and have good sunlight all day throughout on the outside timber deck.

The house is well ventilated, and secure so you have the ease to relax.

The backyard is grassed and completely fenced off so your beloved pet will be safe and enclosed at all times.

Instead of staying in a stuffy studio style accommodation with other strangers, you can enjoy Lola’s cottage all to yourself for cheaper than a hotel room, and you can also apply to have your pet stay.

You will have everything available to you the moment you arrive: we are only a phone call away should there be any unexpected issues. There is a welcome booklet on arrival to ensure you have all the details of things to see, do and in case of urgent attention a list of doctors; hospitals; dentists; supermarkets etc.
