Sanctuary Vacation Rentals is proud to present "Carmel Delight"! This home sleeps up to 4 guests.

This light filled, split level home rests on a quiet cul de sac, in the heart of Carmel. When you are ready for adventure, shopping, galleries, and fine dining are just a short walk away. Enjoy scenic drives along the iconic Pacific Coast Highway, golfing in Pebble Beach® and attending events like Monterey Car Week and the Carmel Bach Festival. Nature lovers will enjoy Point Lobos State Reserve, numerous hiking trails and visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium and nearby beaches.

Living Spaces
Enter at the lower level where a fountain feature trickles away near the front door.
This 1,372 sf remodeled home is cleverly laid out and its multi-level, open floor plan makes it feel larger. Skylights and clerestory windows bathe the home in morning and afternoon light. On the mid level, the living room has a gas fireplace, TV and access to a west-facing balcony.

Kitchen and Dining
Steps above the living area you'll find the gourmet kitchen with stainless steel Viking® appliances and quartz countertops.
Adjacent to the kitchen on this level is the dining area which overlooks the living room.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms:
Both bedrooms and one full bathroom are located on the uppermost (3rd) level.

Bedroom #1 has a king bed and direct access to the Jack and Jill-style bathroom with a shower-over-tub. Clerestory windows bathe the space in light.

Bedroom #2 has a queen bed and direct access to the shared Jack and Jill bathroom in addition to its own vanity area with sink. Please note: The only access to the fully landscaped and fenced backyard garden is through this bedroom. This bedroom also looks out over the dining/living room, giving it a bright, airy quality and while the opening is covered with shutters, this room is not completely private from the main living areas. Please see the photos.

A second full bathroom is located on the lowest level with a shower and a towel warmer, as well as the laundry center with stacking washer and dryer.

Lovely, fenced back yard is nicely landscaped. Access to the back yard is through Bedroom #2.
Please note that as of 2026 there is no longer a hot tub at this home.

Immaculate, attached 2-car garage plus driveway parking. Located on a quiet Cul de Sac.

Small, well-behaved dogs under 20 lbs are possible with Homeowner pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

Very comfortable space, great location, just stroll into downtown or longer walks down Ocean to Scenic.We were aware before we rented of the stairs, 4 flights of 5 stairs total. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Best location. Quiet neighbourhood. A little inconvenient the door to the back yard to let your dog out is in the guest bedroom. Lots of natural light. Except for kitchen window, the windows are too high to have a view. Kitchen a bit sparse but sufficient. A path near the property for shortcut to the beach. Would stay here again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Carmel Delight is built on a narrow steep lot, which means that there are lots of stairs to navigate. The house has four levels and the somewhat steep stairs could definitely be an issue for people with mobility issues. We loved that the house had recently been renovated so the kitchen and bathrooms were quite nice. The furnishings were rather basic and unfortunately not the most comfortable particularly the living room couch and chairs. The house was only sparsely decorated and didn’t really have a cozy vibe. We also felt that the kitchen was lacking, there were very few dishes, pots and utensils which made it challenging to cook and meant we had to run the dishwasher more often than we wanted to.We did however enjoy the little backyard with the patio, the fountain and the hot tub. We also liked the location, it was a short stroll into town and a thirty minute walk to the beach. We gave the property management only four stars because we had to accommodate a blind repair man and there were a few other small issues with the property for which we needed to call maintenance. In general the property management company was excellent though and their maintenance personnel was polite .

The skylights and open floor plan kept the house light, even on the dreariest days, it does get overcast in Carmel and light always brings about a sunnier mood. There are a lot of steps, which if you have walking issues would be a problem. However the levels created an open and airy feel. The appliances and amenities were top of the line and the clean lines of the house and lack of beach house clutter was appreciated. Great mattresses! The cozy backyard made it a morning ritual to sit outside with our little dogs. The house has a garage! We have been renting in Carmel for 16 years and had never stayed North of Ocean. I worried about busy traffic and no safe place to walk the dogs. This little street has no through traffic or non-permit parking. There was only one hill to walk up, which if you don’t want to be in the ultra busy center of town, is rare. To get any privacy away from bustle one normally should climb like a mountain goat, this was a breeze. I can’t say enough good things about the Sanctuary Vacation Rental staff and their attention to detail. If you call with a problem, we had two minor issues in two months, they are there immediately. You do have to go through guest bedroom to get out to the backyard, so if using the second bedroom need to workout a system. We had no issues with this.
