With its gleaming wood floors, spacious rooms, and large, light-filled windows, Bamboo House is a refreshing spot for spending time at the coast. The coastal-foothills and the surrounding trees lend comforting forest views, and a sunny, elevated deck gives you distant ocean views framed by trees. The downstairs living room has a sleeper sofa for extra guests and lots of seating for watching TV. A fully equipped kitchen makes meal-prep easy and enjoyable, and there’s seating for 6 in the light-filled dining area. With two bedrooms and one bath on the main floor and another bedroom and bath downstairs, this is an excellent home to share with another family. It's just a short walk to the beautiful Neahkahnie Beach where you will enjoy a soothing beach walk and spectacular sunsets. Nehalem’s location between the Central and North Oregon Coasts puts you in a prime position to visit multiple beaches and coastal communities, whether you’re having spa time in nearby Manzanita, hiking Neahkahnie Mountain for its stellar views, combing quiet beaches, grabbing some ice cream at the Tillamook Creamery or gallery hopping in Cannon Beach. Stayed here with another couple and enjoyed having extra privacy provided by the separate floors. Close enough to see the ocean from the dining table. Would stay here again.

This house was just the perfect place for our ladies getaway. The house was clean. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had some seasoning and cooking oils. The view was amazing. The house was close to the cute shops and restaurants. It was a short walk to the beach. The only thing we weren’t clear on was when the garbage was supposed to be set out. Overall we would definitely recommend this house. We had a fabulous time.

Great place but check in/out times are rough

It really is a nice house. Feels a lot bigger than the size stated on the listing. It has a nice view, good location, and nice downstairs living area. The home itself is a little dated, like most beach houses, but it was clean and furnished well. My one gripe is the check in and out times. 4pm in and 10am out is 1/4 of a day, and 10am doesn't give you much time to relax and pack up. The house wasn't occupied the night before my stay or the day after, yet they still wanted to charge me 56 each for early check in and late check out. I was able to call Wendy at Meredith properties who was nice enough to waive the late check out fee, which was much appreciated, but that's not something you should count on. An hour earlier check in, and an hour later check out would go a long way here.

Long weekend trip

Great clean property, walking distance to great beach, the kids loved it. The check in was extremely easy and hassle free. We enjoyed using the fire pit area and had a great time roasting hotdogs and s'mores. Amazing views of the ocean and surrounding area from the deck and the large living room windows. I would definitely recommend, we will be back.

Beautiful, serene home near Manzanita

We were stunned by the beauty and serenity of the home. Perched up on the hill side, we loved sitting at the dining table with the sunlight streaming in while watching the distant peek a boo view of the surf. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed, so much better than most rentals for a group of friends and family that loves to cook. We walked to the beach several times to stretch our legs and check out the bioluminescence. We are a group that gathers every year (this is year 19!) and will keep Bamboo House in mind for future trips. Thank you!

Great view

The house was very clean although it had a very strong smell. Beautiful views and nice location with an easy walk to the beach. We tried to contact the manager and did not receive a response at all.

A View To The Storms

March in the Coast needs views from a dry cozy perch. The Bamboo House is the prefect house to see the storms arriving from the ocean! While we were visiting, we saw warming sun, hail, thunder and lightning, and side driving rain! The Bamboo stand below was also a way to see what weather we were having. We were plenty warm and comfortable on both floors. The kitchen is really well stocked with sharp knives and good pots. We will look for the listing in the future.

Wedding stay

Everything was great, Grandma loved the swivel chairs and the view. Hot water was out when we got there and the propeety managers were on it and had someone out in 2 hours. Would highly recommend, we will be back 😊

Beach retreat

This property could use a book giving some of the details of the property (like the bathroom has a dimmer on the light switch) and a check out list of things you need to do before you leave. Also the day of garbage pick up would be nice to know. Property was mostly clean, but needs some cob webs removed and the light fixtures cleaned and light bulbs checked and replaced as needed. Beautiful view on nice deck! Beds were comfortable and house overall had a homey feel. We would stay there again!

Great location

The house was very comfortable. Exactly as described. Lots of towels and amenities. View was better than what the pictures show. Short, easy walk to the beach. Will book again!!
