Cedar Cottage - one block from the lake

The perfect balance of cottage living and modern décor, and just one block in either direction to two local beach access points. Your stay includes the use of 3 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and lifejackets. Cross the street and find yourself strolling Lakeshore Drive’s beautiful boardwalk where a 15 minute walk leads you to the park and playground, and further on to the main beach and hub of restaurants. Set up the included beach umbrella and beach towels anywhere along the way - it's almost two kilometers of waterfront! Later on play yard games, BBQ on the deck, and enjoy stories around the firepit. Inside, the open concept kitchen and living space is perfect for reconnecting with family and friends. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for a fantastic stay. Relax inside by the real wood fireplace before retiring to one of three cozy-comfy queen bedrooms. Two blocks away you have access to convenience stores/gas stations and restaurants. The cottage was amazing! Very well equipped. Absolutely everything you could possibly need for your stay. Bedding was lovely , very comfortable. Enjoyed the warm wood burning fireplace. The beach theme is adorable. The homes decor is beautifully put together. We will definitely be back!

Denise is an awesome host. The cottage is in a great location and filled with all the extras you could possibly want. The wood burning fireplace was an awesome addition. Three cozy bedrooms and very warm.

What a gorgeous cottage. It was perfect for our needs. It was spotless, warm and cozy. We did all our own cooking and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Denise provided excellent instructions and directions. Communication from booking to check-out was prompt and helpful.I would highly recommend this place. We were sad to leave and hope to go back again.

Great spot and host

We stayed here while ice fishing nearby. The place was clean, the host communicated everything promptly and gave us some great recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants.

A cozy and comfortable stay! The host has thought of everything to make this a great place to be! From a loaded hot drink bar, access to numerous water activities, everything we needed for the kitchen, plus supplies needed for the fireplace. We all really enjoyed the Cedar Cottage and want to come back!

Wonderful home! Wonderful hosts! They really thought of every little detail to make our stay amazing. Everything you would need for kitchen, bath, lounge and comfort down to comfy blankets and fairy lights! The addional provided beach towels, chairs and lake fun gear was great! 5 star ratings for sure. I would definitely stay again!

Lovely Cottage Close to the Beach

Wonderful stay

We loved our location and the home was everything we could have asked for - it was clean, organized and fully stocked with everything would could wish for! Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and gracious - we had a great time and built some wonderful memories in Sylvan Lake.

We had an amazing vacation at this property in Sylvan Lake. The home was absolutely spotless—cleanliness was truly a 10/10. The host went above and beyond, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The property itself exceeded expectations; it was even better than what was shown in the listing. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing getaway!

Great location, lovely deck and yard.

Great location just off main drag (do not trust google maps, follow directions from host) with lovely deck and yard. Nice ~20minute walk to downtown restaurants. Would stay again!

As locals, we are the owners, managers, cleaners and yard crew. We are close by and always available, should you need anything! Our goal is to provide guests with a clean, functional, welcoming space where they instantly relax and feel "the holiday has begun".

Why choose Cedar Cottage? First, being located in the cottage zone means you're only a short walk to the water. Whether you turn left and head towards the park and main beach area, a 5-10 minute walk, or whether you turn right and walk one short block to a smaller, more secluded beach, both options are yours. Second, the cottage itself is situated on a side street, removed from the busiest of zones. Third, did we mention the cedar? The cottage was built from beautiful, solid cedar wood bricks by Canadian Wood Brick Distributors, Ltd, 1963. We've left much of it exposed to appreciate, while tastefully updating other walls with drywall to brighten the space. Fourth, our spring renovations have brought "new and fresh" to most of the features, including new carpeting, mattresses and bedding, living room furniture, dishes and cookware, and much more! Check out our photos for this blend of organic and functional. One last feature to note is the deck that faces both south and west, offering the best of the sun throughout the day, or slide under the shade of the trees and umbrellas, if you've had enough sun. We think you'll like Cedar Cottage, as much as we do.
