At Thistle, 6 charming bedroom suites across 3 floors provide privacy and perks like flat-screen TVs and king-size beds. Plus there’s an attached, en-suite bath for every single bedroom.

For extra guests, one of the bedrooms has a king sofa bed in addition to the regular bed, and there’s a second king-size sofa bed in the family room.

The accessible main level (including an accessible bedroom + bathroom with grab bars and transition shower), combined with a ramp for easy Cottage access, means everyone in your family can join the fun.

Vacationing with a larger group? Double the fun and rent Thistle Cottage together with the next-door property, Claymore Cottage, to sleep a total of 28 people.

Family bonding never felt so elegant-yet-cozy. The spacious Great Room is a beauty, with its high, beamed ceilings, velvet green sofas, and a flickering gas fireplace.

Nearby, a dining area for 12+ is the setting for your unforgettable family feast—or epic board game—right next to the sliding glass doors to the upper deck.

Speaking of the upper deck: the lake view to the left is just awesome, an unobstructed panorama from your elevated vantage point.

Watch the boats from a comfy spot on the plush outdoor sofas, and eat burgers from the Weber grill at the outdoor dining table for 6.

On the lower deck is a Thistle Cottage highlight… a private, heated container pool, complete with a glass front for Mermaid photoshoots.

Even better? Because it’s heated, you can use it even when it's chilly outside. This feature is unique to Branson Family Retreats—you’ll find it only here and at our neighboring Claymore Cottage.

Depending on the weather:
- Summer temperature is 84-86 degrees (roughly end of May to mid September)
- Rest of the year the temperature is 97-99 degrees for your stay (mid September until end of the year school holidays and again mid March to just before the end of May)
- Container pool is CLOSED from January to early March (neighborhood indoor pool is OPEN)

ADDITIONAL INFO

🐶 $35 per night per dog plus taxes. Small dogs allowed with pre-approval only. Dogs are not guaranteed to be approved. Please ask first.

💳 Credit card must be on file in case of damages. We will send you an email to authorize a $1 hold after your booking is confirmed. This hold begins 3 days before your arrival and is released 3 days after departure if there is no damage, no excessive cleaning needed, and no house rules are broken.

🚗 Drivers license will be required with our signed guest agreement after you book, along with a selfie holding your photo ID

🆔 We will perform a Guest ID verification securely through our payment processor after you book. The main purpose is to make sure no one has stolen your credit card and used it without your permission.

The Guest ID verification is a two factor authorization that asks you for your phone number and birth date, then it will text you a code to enter.

If the verification fails, we’ll cancel the reservation and void the transaction.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

You can purchase travel insurance for your reservation! The standard policy covers quite a few reasons for cancellation and applies to your whole traveling group.

Note that all new reservations have the option of purchasing a Cancel For Any Reason insurance policy besides the standard travel insurance policy. You can purchase this when you make your reservation with us, and the insurance is automatically connected to your stay.
