We are very sorry for the experience you had, but we would like to clarify what actually happened. This property had already been booked through Airbnb several months earlier, but unfortunately VRBO’s system still allowed a conflicting reservation to be made. As soon as we received your booking, we sent you a message explaining the double-booking issue and also contacted VRBO requesting assistance. Unfortunately, the message did not reach you and VRBO did not resolve the issue before your arrival. We were extremely frustrated that you arrived without knowing the situation. Over the past two years, we have experienced repeated issues with VRBO involving double bookings, messages not reaching guests, and delays in customer support. These system problems have caused serious disruption and financial losses to our business as well. We completely understand why you were angry when you arrived, and we sincerely apologize for what you experienced. However, this was not because we ignored your reservation or intentionally left you without accommodation. We had attempted to address the conflict immediately after the reservation was received, but unfortunately the VRBO system and support process failed both you and us. I can send you the pictures of the message which we sent you on August 16,2026 but Vrbo never sent it to you.
