Take it easy at this unique and tranquil country getaway on a private lake. Approximately 1 hour drive from downtown Ottawa and Montreal. Bring your kayak or canoe and experience the calm waters and wildlife of this hidden gem. Enjoy the sunrise, sunsets and all the stars in your own space on a beautiful large property, overlooking the water with your own private campfire. Experience all the local fare including breweries, a winery, farmers market, shopping and dining in the nearby town of Alexandria. Note- The lake is weedy and not suggested for swimming.

Una experiencia muy bonita en esta casa del lago. La casa cuenta com 3 habitaciones, las camas son comodas y la casa esta limpia. La comunicaciĂłn con la propietaria ha sido excelente, ha contestado nuestros mensajes muy rapidamente. El lugar es precioso y muy tranquilo. La casa esta muy bonita y hay muchos detalles. El unico fallo, al ir con un bebe y dos personas mayores, fue la ducha. Se encuentra fuera de la casa y es complicada de regular por lo que fue un poco complicado a la hora de realizar el aseo. Por lo demas todo genial.

Relaxing Hideaway

We needed a central location to attend the Glengarry Highland Games and this was perfect.A nice quiet place at the end of a busy day.Everything you need to unplug and relax.

Very lovely location. Large lakeside lot with plenty of seating and lounging areas, some in sun, some in shade. Really excellent views and so peaceful. Generally I would recommend this property based on that alone.The cabin was quite good but really needed cleaning of cobwebs etc. and some insect spray in and out. Facilities inside were reasonable. We had trouble with the toilet not flushing but that problem was resolved with some 'technique coaching' from owner. We waited 30 minutes for that call back, which was a tense time for us.Our problem getting hot water to the outside shower was never really resolved. Cold showers are not my thing. We left a day early.All in all, I think this property has great potential and just needs some better maintenance. I would consider returning if that is done.

A cute getaway with a gorgeous view. Lots of lounging spot options around the property. Dry firewood was provided for the campfire which was amazing!

A nice quiet getaway

Illya’s place is very comfy. It was a nice place to get away from the city. The property has huge outdoor space where you can swim and fish the lake. Our family had a great time. The place has a waterless toilet ang outdoor shower.

My Birthday Girls Trip

Our very first impression when we pulled up was WOW! The property is beautifully groomed, flat, with a fabulous view of the lake. The cottage was perfect with everything we could possibly need. There were 4 of us and there was plenty of room. If you're looking for peace and serenity away from the city, this is it! Our hosts were also amazing!

Absolutely amazing!

We loved our visit here. My kids (6-8) loved it so much they already want to go back and we just left. It’s beautiful, cozy, relaxing, and overall great. So much land to play, a dock to go in the water if you bring your own boat. At night we had a camp fire. If you needed to go to the store it’s only 15 minutes away. We even enjoyed the outdoor shower. I can’t wait to go back. The property managers were so kind and helpful, I was able to reach out to them and they were always quick to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend!
