The property was exactly as described and shown in pictures with all basic amenities. Had a very comfortable stay with my family.
I just missed a full length mirror but other then that all of us were very satisfied.
Convenient location pungent meal prep from upstairs
The basement apartment was located in a great neighborhood. The appliances were new and the apartment was moderately clean.
A few things for consideration:
1. There is no walkway from the driveway to the back of the house entrance. You will have to roll your suitcases through the grass. If the ground is wet be ready to carry your suitcases since they will not roll easily.
2. When the owners upstairs prepared their food it was quite pungent. There's no way to filter out the smell. The entire basement apartment and your clothing will soak in the odor.
3. You can hear loud muffled voices and footsteps all hours of the night. We stayed there for a week and there were several late evenings where they had company and it was hard to sleep.

We appreciate guests honest and unbiased reviews and feedback, it gives rooms for improvement where necessary and when within the control of the host.
However, your review contains some incorrect and untruthful information. There is a sidewalk from the front of the house to the suite main entrance at the back. Guests have always make use of this sidewalk including you and your team. The listing pictures clearly shows the sidewalk.
The property has two furnaces, one for the main house and the other for the basement suite, this feature is required for a legal basement approval by the city of Calgary and it is for an independent air circulation between the main house and the basement suite. Also installed in the house was Sound proofing channels between the main house and the basement suite, this feature was also a major requirement for the legal basement approval from the city of Calgary. this feature cuts down significantly noise movement between the main house and the basement suite to the standard found in most Hotels
The house has a solid ventilation systems that is controlled via the Smart thermostat and guests have always used the ventilation system control as and when needed.
Your review was done very late and I hope you were not mixing up our property with another property, especially the sidewalk issues that you raised.
The honest feedback is appreciated and would be improved upon, but the biased and untruthful information is hereby rejected / disputed.

The suite provided a stark, clean, blank slate. Basic needs such as bedding, towels, appliances were met. Beds were very comfortable and the linens were lovely. The heating was easy to control and the laundry room was appreciated.
The quality of the dining table and chairs were cheap and one chair broke while I was sitting on it. The other 3 chairs were loose, so therefore, unusable. The couch was new but uncomfortable and four people could not sit together in the TV area. Better quality furnishings would have improved our experience. An extra chair in the livingroom area is needed so we can all sit down comfortably. The living area also needs a lamp for warmer lighting as there was only glaringly bright overhead lights. A larger carpet in the living area would add warmth and stop the hollow echos.
The bathroom shower door leaked onto the floor so we had to mop it after every shower to prevent water from soaking into the baseboard. There was only one towel for each guest and no face cloths. Minimal shampoo and soap required us to purchase our own supplies. A sign in the bathroom said not to flush anything....including toilet paper. Clearly we ignored that, and flushed the toilet paper without incident but it did cause some concern.... what might happen?
We would have appreciated some coffee pods/tea bags, maybe coffee whitener and sugar and basic spices for cooking.
Overall, the suite was conveniently located and served our purpose but it lacked any warmth or coziness.
