The unit in question includes a separate basement suite. Upon receiving a complaint from the guest regarding the basement tenant, I conducted an investigation and subsequently proceeded with an eviction. It is important to note that the listing clearly states that free parking is available on the street, and no similar complaints have been recorded since the unit became available. Regarding safety concerns, the guest expressed that the existing door lock was inadequate. In response, I purchased and installed an additional lock to enhance her sense of security. I have made every effort to address all of the guest’s concerns in a timely and reasonable manner, despite her continued dissatisfaction. Finally, the guest requested a refund of more than 50% of the booking value prior to submitting her review. I did not agree to this, as I perceived it as an attempt to exert undue pressure. I believe it is more appropriate to allow the facts of the stay to speak for themselves rather than engage in transactions that might be construed as incentivizing a favorable review.
