About this property

Brand New Okoboji Vacation Cabin With Large Pool In Backyard!!! Bridges Bay!!

Cabin was completed in March, 2017!! 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath with 2 stall car garage.
Total square feet is 1717. This is one of the largest cabins in the resort!!! We also added extra cement in the driveway for more parking space.

All you need to do is show up! Everything is fully furnished and can accommodate up to 12 people! 6 daily passes to the Water Park are included in the rental and, as our guests, additional passes can be purchased at a discounted rate.

*Living area has 60 inch flat screen TV (4K Ultra HD TV) with DIRECT TV! NFL Sunday Ticket included!!!!

*Large pool in backyard!! Will be ready to use Summer 2017!

*Kitchen fully equipped with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, and brand new appliances: dishwasher, side by side refrigerator/freezer with water dispenser and ice maker, oven, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, griddle, pantry.

*Master bedroom on main floor has a king size bed and large closet.
*Washer and Dryer and half bath also on main floor.
*2nd bedroom upstairs has a king size bed and large closet.
*3rd bedroom has two sets of bunk beds (twin over full)
*Full bath upstairs.
*Large loft area with 40 inch flat screen TV and DVD player. Loft also has a large couch with ottoman.
*Rear patio with spacious yard (gas grill, patio table and chairs)
*Great vacation feel with lots of windows and vaulted ceilings.
*Walking distance to the scenic and private fully stocked fishing pond.
*Bracco Waterfront Café and Island Bar onsite with live music on summer weekends.
*Kid's arcade and large outdoor play structure.

The location is about a 10 minute walk from the Bridges Bay resort. It has a shared community pool in the very, very large backyard area so our kids were able to swim and play ball. The pool is well kept and has a gate so that was nice. The house was clean and well kept. We thought it was a lot nicer in person than what it appears in the photos.

We stayed here for a long weekend to get together with college friends we hadn't seen in a while! It fit us all so well, the space was very clean and matched the listing. It was so close to Arnold's Park, which made the stay perfect. And the pool in the backyard was a great addition!

This property worked out well for two families and a friend! The owner has great communication and answered questions we had prior to checking in. The garage was very spacious and we were glad to have it. We were close to a boat ramp and having access to the water park was a plus for a rainy day that we had. Would recommend this property!

It was a nice place and great location but there was a cleanliness issue I’m sure the owners aren’t aware of. The towels, bathrooms and washing machine all needed some attention, especially with some mold growing.

Wedding Stay

Overall the stay was great, however there was still laundry that was folded and put away, laundry in the washer that was wet and a load in the dryer, not a huge deal, but a little of a pain. We also didn’t have enough wash rags for bathing, but plenty of towels. It was great having the daily passes for the water park, our kiddos loved it. We would book with individual again but hope the laundry is taken care of.

Okoboji family vacation in Bridges Bay Cabin

Kitchen flooring was loose in several areas, frig leaked water on the floor and there was water damage on the floor, washing machine was moldy, a smoke detector was missing in the loft. We also ran out of toilet paper and had to go buy some. The listing stated “brand new vacation cabin”. However, it seemed like it had been well used.

This stay could have gotten 5 stars! Property manager was great to work with initially. Once we arrived at the property we noticed issues and had to run to the local store. Mold/mildew on the shower curtains and liners, wash machine lined with mold. The cleaning service had been using that wash machine and all the towels and bedding smelled musty and most likely embedded with mold. The floor boards were also very loose and you would slide as they shifted when walking across them.We left less than 24 hrs later and asked for a monetary 50% refund. Owner offered a comp stay but stopped communicating after he said he would follow-up on 8/22/29.
