Privately tucked away behind three sides of high, dense tea tree hedges, this light, bright and colourful home is sure to make you (and your pets!) smile and instantly feel relaxed.

La Sirena ("The Mermaid" in Italiano!) has been recently redecorated and repainted inside and out in a comfortable and quirky style, reminiscent of an old school holiday shack.

It has a fresh aquatic / maritime theme throughout all rooms. It is private and large enough for a family to comfortably enjoy. The best part is it's only a ten minute walk or two minute drive from beach 4.

Facing away from quiet Atherton Drive, the property is unique to the area in its sense of privacy, tranquility, brightness, and elevated perspective.

The rear of the house offers three, spacious bedrooms with ceiling fans
- Bedroom 1 - King size bed - sleeps 2
- Bedroom 2 - Queen size bed - sleeps 2
- Bedroom 3 - Bunk bed and double bed - sleeps 4

- Main bathroom - has a shower with hot water supply, toilet and basin
- Second separate toilet
- Outdoor shower / bath - hot and cold water
- Separate laundry with clothes washer and separate dryer

The remainder of the home showcases an extensive and welcoming open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area flowing seamlessly out onto a large, inviting, north-facing, timber deck with an outdoor couch that seats up to 6 people plus additional outdoor table and chairs.

Kitchen has electric oven and cook top, fridge with freezer and a microwave.

Together with the north facing aspect, substantial windows throughout allow plenty of daylight to stream in, while a prominent wood heater keeps you toasty-warm in cooler temperatures, simultaneously creating a cozy ambiance, along with a newly installed split system heater cooler aircon. So as well as being toasty in winter, it is cool all summer.

Externally you will also discover an undercover table tennis table and a rear yard - perfect for the kids to play in - and a lovely native garden.

The second bedroom also has a PS4 system and TV.

And of course there is free wi-fi!

Great Setup

Within walking range of beaches, bright and vibrant interior, maintained facilities and overall roomy. Each room is well lit by windows that allow generous amounts of sunlight and provides warmth during the day in winter. Good place to stay all year round with something to offer for every season.

We had a great stay, fantastic location and a very comfortable home.The one point would be the driveway is overgrown and we had to park on the street so we would scatch our car. I was aware of this issue as it was mentioned in other reviews. That being said we would happily stay agianiissue

Easy, comfy, cheerful house with sunny deck

We had a great stay at La Sirena. Good location for a loop walk between beaches 4&5, to little nature reserve for wombat spotting, or to playground/boat ramp. Very comfortable house for our family 2 adults/3 kids. Great kitchen/dinining/living area and perfect back deck for afternoon snoozing in the sun and loved the outdoor shower/bath and also fireplace. Well stocked kitchen, just missed some storage space for our food and draws on wardrobes for our clothes. Would def repeat book.

La Sirena is a great getaway home

We had a lovely getaway and the house is very comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. It’s also got a great feel and decor. King bed very comfortable. Easy access and garden for dogs. And good air conditioning in the living area. Thanks for helping with keys!

Beautiful Home

The house is beautifully decorated with mermaid theme. It looks like the pictures advertised. It is well equipped with cooking utensils and beautiful crockery. It is clean and comfortable. We felt homely. It is just a few minutes drive to the beach. The host is very friendly and very responsive.

Entrance to property is hidden behind bush with details provided before check-in. However, the bush can definitely do with a trim. It is so overgrown that alwe cannot drive in and park our SUV so we ended up parking just outside the property. If we park there, we can't open any car doors except for the driver. House is clean when we check-in. Amenities provided is also good. Kitchen hot water works fine, but shower almost have no water pressure with water just trickling and the hot water is hard to control to get it steady. FYI, there is no dishwasher in the kitchen. Overall, we had a good stay.

Away from the big towns peace and quiet

Great family residence, only advice to others is if you have a large vehicle youll need to reverse up the tricky driveway as the trees eitherside are overgrown and its difficult to turn the car around at the rear of the propety due overgrown shrubs as well.

Large and comfortable property

Lovely spot in Venus Bay within easy walking distance to the lovely beaches. The house is a good size, and the couch is very comfortable.

Disappointing Stay

The property is well located but the cleanliness was very disappointing. Examples include: - Most of the kitchen implements needed cleaning before use, - The griller was left with burnt food and had to be scrubbed to use, - The floors need vacuuming (the Dyson was full after we vacuumed when we arrived) - Some of the bedding was well by its "use by" date The overall impression, rightly or wrongly, was that the property is rarely inspected by the owners.

Laid Back & Chill

We stayed 3 nights towards the end of Winter and enjoyed mostly fine, sunny weather on the north-facing deck. The chill of the evenings was warmed using the woodfire heater which heated the whole home. We cooked every meal in, and used the well stocked kitchen. Hot water was instant and plentiful. The ocean beach was only a relatively short stroll away. We had a very relaxing long weekend and enjoyed every minute spent at La Sirena, an immensly charming beach abode.

Fantastic Stay

The house was open and airy,, everything was clean and tidy. The mermaid theme in the house was very cute and there was a bit of a retro vibe. Loved the wood heater, perfect for a winter stay. We really couldnt fault La Sirena it had everything we needed and we had a very relaxing, enjoyable stay. Thank you!
