Great stay in Calgary. The basement suite was extremely clean and comfortable. It is very small but we adapted.

Overall, the location is great, the room is beautiful, and the communication with the host is excellent.However, the place is small and not well cleaned (entrance, flooring and several items/areas are dirty and dusty). There is no kitchen area as well.

It was good. Very clean, nice decoration and comfortable. Im not sure if there is air conditioning or how can use it. But fortunately we didn't need it. Independent entrance and lovely neighborhood.

Why they chose this property

I love the West Hillhurst neighborhood because it’s an inner-city community that is close to everything while still being beautiful and peaceful, especially with the river nearby. My yoga studio is only about five minutes from my home, so this area has been an important part of my life for many years.
It’s very convenient whether you’re visiting the Foothills Hospital, the University of Calgary, meeting friends downtown, or exploring the inner city like Kensington. If you’re coming to Calgary to watch a football game, the stadium is also within walking distance.
Another great advantage is that we’re only about 3–5 minutes from Highway 1, the main route to the mountains. You can easily visit Banff or Canmore for the day while staying in Calgary and enjoying a comfortable place at a more affordable price. I feel very grateful to live in this community and privileged to host guests here. I believe you will enjoy your stay.

What makes this property unique

As a yoga teacher for 30 years, I understand how important it is to create a peaceful and welcoming environment for guests. My home is designed to feel calm, inviting, and comfortable so you can truly relax and enjoy your stay.
One of the unique parts of staying here is the cultural experience. I bring elements of my heritage and ancient traditions into the space, so your visit can be more than just a place to sleep — it can also be a meaningful and memorable experience.
Guests are also welcome to join a complimentary yoga session during their stay if they wish. If you’re interested, I also offer private yoga or sound bath sessions.
The location is very convenient as well. The bus stop is only about a two-minute walk away, and there are nearby river and bike paths that make it easy to explore the city by walking or cycling.
I love sharing positive energy with my guests and hope you will enjoy both your stay and the experience here.
