Designed by award-winning Studio Pacific Architecture and developed by Willis Bond, this seven-storey Wynyard Quarter landmark won the Best Design Awards Gold Pin for Residential Architecture and the Property Council NZ Excellence Award in 2022 — and staying inside it feels exactly like that pedigree would suggest. This studio captures the building`s considered design language in miniature: clean lines, recessed lighting, generous built-in storage, and a private balcony that makes the most of Wynyard Quarter`s light and sea breeze.
The open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area is smartly laid out, with an engineered stone benchtop, quality European appliances, and a thoughtful use of space that makes the studio live larger than its footprint. 30 Madden sits at the heart of Wynyard Quarter — one of the most successful urban regenerations in the Southern Hemisphere, transformed from a working industrial waterfront into one of Auckland`s most loved neighbourhoods. The North Wharf dining precinct is right on your doorstep: Baduzzi, Hello Beasty, Giraffe, and a wonderful selection of bars and wine rooms make this one of the city`s best places for an evening out. Silo Park, with its outdoor cinema, weekend markets, and public art, is a short stroll, as is the Auckland Fish Market for the freshest possible seafood.
The Viaduct Harbour`s celebrated restaurant and bar strip is an easy walk east, connecting through to Commercial Bay and Britomart`s laneway dining and boutique shopping. The Auckland Ferry Terminal is nearby for Waiheke Island, Devonport, and Hauraki Gulf services, and the CBD`s Queen Street and Sky Tower are within comfortable walking distance.
Auckland is easily explored from Wynyard Quarter. The Inner Link and Outer Link buses connect the central suburbs frequently throughout the day. Britomart Transport Centre is an easy walk with full train network connections. The Auckland Ferry Terminal is nearby for Waiheke Island and harbour services. Uber and taxis are available throughout the precinct at all hours. Auckland Airport is approximately 30 to 40 minutes by car or shuttle.
The native courtyard garden is one of the building`s genuine highlights — well worth a few minutes` wander during your stay, particularly in the early morning or evening when it`s at its most peaceful. The studio`s 7-Star Homestar credentials mean excellent thermal comfort and acoustic insulation year-round.

Check in available after 3pm through lock box key collection. Lock boxes are located a short distance away, full details will be sent prior to arrival. We advise collecting the keys on your way to the apartment, if coming to the city via taxi or UBER, ask the taxi to wait a second while you collect the key. The walk to the apartment from the lock box is not far, but no one wants to walk in the city with suitcases!
