Our stay in Lucca was fantastic! Corte Paolina was very comfortable - a quiet retreat just off a tiny square not far from everything you could want. The house was very well appointed although we never spent anytime in the kitchen! Once we got the gate situation figured out it was easy. The washer AND dryer were a wonderful bonus. Riccardo was extremely responsive with suggestions and contacts for restaurants and activities in and around Lucca. A great stay at the end of our Tuscany adventure!

Excellent stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at this villa in Lucca. A charming and very comfortable place located in a prime location. Easily accessible to eateries, cafes, and beautiful churches. This place had everything we needed whether we stayed inside to cook ourselves or not. Communication between us and the owner was great. Very accommodating. We definitely want to come back and stay here again in the future.

This property was just what we needed after traveling for almost 2 weeks. The apartment was lovely, quiet, and clean and the courtyard was amazing. We had 3 lovely ladies in the apartment next to us that we talked to daily. Our host was so attentive and assisted us and answered many questions. His son checked us in and, later in the evening saw us out exploring and went out of his way to say hello. I would highly recommend this stay in Lucca.

We had a wonderful stay at Corte Paolina! There were 4 adults in our group so having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms worked out great! The unit was well appointed and clean with everything we could possibly need. The beds were super comfortable so a good nights sleep was had by all. The hosts were quickly responsive to any questions that we had in regards to the unit or the area. Having a courtyard made a great retreat for an afternoon glass of wine and cheese. I would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely return!

Amazing stay in Lucca

Perfect and charming property. From the moment we booked Riccardo was an attentive host, offering us restaurant recommendations and other tips for our visit as well as arranging parking. Every aspect of our stay was seamless, and the apartment and accompanying courtyard were beautiful. The location is excellent, the apartment well-furnished and clean, and we were sad to leave! Definitely consider this place if you are coming to Lucca. I wil definitely stay there again when we return.

Most Amazing and Special Place

From the moment we met Riccardo we felt welcome and at home. The apartment was beautiful and every detail was attended to. We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful stay. It is one of the best VRBO experiences I’ve had. The location was wonderful and Riccardo gave us excellent dinner recommendations as well as left a book in the apartment with all instructions and recommendations. We are already talking about when we will be able to return. Thank you so much for everything!!!

Delightful stay in Lucca

What a delightful and enjoyable stay within the walls of Lucca! Riccardo and family were wonderful and accommodating hosts of this beautiful property. With your approach to the apartment you are treated by a lovely courtyard which is perfect for enjoying warm days. The apartment was very comfortable and well furnished. We stayed for 12 nights and loved our time in this apartment. Will definitely rent this property again with return trips to Lucca. The apartment is located in a nice location with access to the wall just down the street for walks along the wall. There are stores, bakeries, restaurants and specialty stores close by. The host provides a very beneficial guide to the city and places of interest that was very helpful and used often during our stay. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect apartment for 4 in Lucca

We were two couples visiting Lucca and Riccardo’s apartment worked perfectly for us. There are 2 bedrooms/bathrooms separated by a living room and kitchen so private. The apartment is in a great location, just a few minutes from the main square, near many shops and restaurants. The apartment is nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and has every amenity you may need, including a dryer! ( very rare in Italy). Riccardo and his son greeted us upon arrival and communicated well before and during our visit. I give his apartment the highest recommendation. Do walk/jog/bike on the walls. They are a wonderful feature of Lucca.

Beyond Expectations in Lucca

Charming apartment in a perfect location for exploring this wonderful city! Enter through a garden courtyard, up one flight of stairs and you are in heaven. It’s quiet yet close to cafes, markets, bike rentals and all the sights. The host, Riccardo, is very responsive and provides great ideas for restaurants and other local haunts. Beds are super comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for everything - however the amazing restaurants were such a draw we barely used it! Washer/dryer is a plus and the bathrooms/showers are terrific. The apartment is bright and comfortable. Riccardo arranged for easy parking down the street (the apartment is in a limited driving zone) and welcomed us with a delicious Lucchese cake. We were there for 3 glorious nights and wish we had booked more time! Hope to return soon and will definitely stay here. This place is a gem if you are planning to come to Lucca.

Our stay in Lucca at Riccardo's place was incredible. Anna came to meet us and show us the place and she was so kind to our toddler and helped us with the stroller. They set up the sweetest welcome scene for our toddler to walk into with stuffies and toys all around the room and it was the sweetest thing and so wonderful for our toddler to have toys to play with at home during our stay. He slept super well in the baby cot they provided and the AC in every room worked amazingly and kept the place nice and cool even with 95 degree weather. We ate at all the restaurants Riccardo recommended and they were all very very good! Oh, and the courtyard is behind a locked gate, so we were able to leave our stroller at the bottom of the stairs rather than lugging it up and down. Overall, 11/10, if we find our selves in Lucca again I will be booking this place!

A beautiful apartment in a quiet courtyard run by a devoted and welcoming host. He has thought of everything with special touches such as a gift of prosecco and introductions to local shopkeepers. He is clearly a wonderful community member who is well liked! Terrific recommendations. He even checked in during our stay in case we needed anything. Spent two weeks in Lucca and never exhausted the city or surrounding region. Highly recommend!
