Walk to beach, wraparound porch, new boat dock, water on two sides, Cargo Lift

Easy check in/out with the new cargo lift for luggage and supplies. Fish straight off the private deck or boat dock. Kayak, boat or jet ski in the canal and/or the inter coastal waterway. Or just enjoy the beautiful views of the coast while you relax on the unbelievable wraparound porch. This house is on a very secluded double lot with beach access only a three minute walk away. It is at the end of a cul-de-sac so the kids can ride their bikes without worry of traffic. There is a huge deck beside the waterway that is perfect for sunbathing, grilling, or lounging. There are two porch swings, ,a picnic table, grill, rocking chairs, Adirondack chairs and an outdoor table with chairs so everyone can enjoy the large porch and yard. There is a huge outdoor private shower and sink with hot and cold water. The house has floor to ceiling windows in the spacious living and dining rooms. There is a bedroom on the first floor with a private bathroom. The upper floor has the master suite with a queen four-poster bed and private bath. The master bedroom also has a private balcony that overlooks the Inter-coastal waterway. There are two more bedrooms upstairs; one with three beds (one full two twins) and the other has a queen size bed. These two bedrooms share a very spacious bathroom. Bedrooms have flat screen TV's. The high speed internet is accessible throughout the property including on the boat dock. Therefore, you can fish and surf the internet at the same time! The living room has a large TV with DVD player and two leather couches which recline. The kitchen has been completely remodeled is well stocked with pots, pans dishes, utensils, appliances and dishwasher. There is also a washer and a dryer. Bed linens & towels are available thru local rental co or you can bring your own.. Starter quantities of paper products, soaps, etc. are provided. You will absolutely love this amazing home.

House was as described in the listing. We had a few issues that John helped us with promptly which was nice. The biggest detractor for us was the cleanliness of the bathrooms and kitchen. It was clearly a surface cleaning job and they completely missed the fridge and the shower walls still had hair on it. It was easy enough to clean but not something we wanted to do on our vacation. We didn’t contact John about this due to expediency (we wanted to get settled and it was faster to do it ourselves). Also we had already purchased groceries and needed to get them put away quickly.

Wonderful home!

We enjoyed everything about John's home. The location was perfect, water views everywhere you look and just a short walk to the beach or you can rent a golf cart, but we didn't find it necessary. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was well furnished with pots, pans, utensils, etc. The extras provided like the cruiser bikes, beach cart, fishing kayak, and cargo lift made our stay so much more enjoyable. We caught crabs, fish, and lots of bait off the dock! We all agreed we could have "leveled up" our fun with the addition of a boat (I'm always wishing for a boat)! This is just an all around lovely spot with a kind, communicative owner.

Great place!

We were very pleased with this house and property. The wrap around deck was our favorite spot. We also enjoyed fishing from the dock and kayaking and paddle boarding. The beach access is directly across from the street so it was an easy walk. It did take about 6-8 minutes to walk to the beach though. Everything has been updated and the house was equipped with many necessities.

Second time returning to John’s house and we loved it even more than the first time! You can’t beat the location. Quiet canal spot and 5 min walk to the beach. WellStocked kitchen, brand new comfy couches, and love the house lay out. The lift is super helpful for getting supplies up to the house. Kayaking on the canal was relaxing and fun. As always John is super easy to communicate with and let me know of a concert happening while we were down there. See you again next year!

Great place

This house fit my needs perfectly For a week of fishing with friends and family. Wheeit it is located was an easy place for me to turn my 24 foot boat around. I would suggest docking your boat facing in as the pole for the lift Sticks out a little further than the dock and can bump your boat. It. Was a little tight parking the trailer for my boat. I had to take the boat out a day early because of weather and had to park on the road, which was OK. No one bothered me. Then I had to back the boat all the way down the street Which wasn’t a problem just stating so you will know. It would be nice to have a little bit more water hose that would stretch to the dock so you could wash the boat. I come to Holden 3 or four times a year. I will try to stay at this place if it is available when I come. Hope this helps great place to stay for fishing and boating. Thanks for letting us stay.

Relaxation

Great place relaxed and unwind. Spent a couple of days on the, a couple of days exploring the neighboring beaches, riding golf cart and some good deck time.

Nice house

Sunnyside II is a very nice house with a great location. It is a quick and easy 3/10 mile walk to the beach access. The house sits on the canal with water on two sides and a nice new dock which was great for fishing. It would be great for launching kayaks or tying up your boat. A two- or three-minute padel and you are in the ICW. The wrap around decks are nice for relaxing and watching boats in the ICW. Communication with John was timely and easy. He even sent a text mid-week to see if everything was ok. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped, new furniture in the living room, and the bed was comfortable. The cargo lift made quick work of getting our luggage and groceries up to the main level of the house. There are plenty of rooms for a large family to vacation here. This was a last minute and early season booking which could be the cause of a few minor issues. The house was a little dusty but overall clean and the outside water was still turned off which made the outside shower and sink unusable. There was not a smoke detector upstairs, so we opted to stay in the smaller main level bedroom rather than the larger master on the top floor. All in all, this is a very nice house and location. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Excellent Boater/Fisherman Haven

Very family friendly. For boaters the intracoastal is only a couple hundred yards away. Fish off the dock. Cargo elevator is very convenient. Beach access is down the street. We rented a golf cart, but it wasn't really needed. Good home.

September trip

First time to Holden Beach. 2 70+, 2 49 yr olds, 3 20+, loved the location, the beach and the house. The luggage lift was great (elevator would be nice!). Rented a golf cart to get back and forth to beach, but younger group could walk. Took dogs around to park to walk. Guys enjoyed fishing. John was great to work with.

Holden 2024

We visit Holden 2-3 times a year and like to stay in a VRBO homes. (We feel we can pick a house to meet our needs since we have pets). John’s home is great. It corners 2 canals so fishing is good. It’s quiet and there’s a deck on all 4 sides of the home. The dick is excellent. The home itself is a great set up. Kitchen and living room.with 1 bedroom on the main and 3 spacious bedrooms with 2 baths upstairs. Communication with John was good and he replies very quickly. John also worked well with us for reservation changes due to a family illness. He was very accommodating.

Family vacation

The property was beautiful and spacious. The communication with John was seamless. He was quick to answer any questions via text or email. The inside and outside of the property was clean. The kids enjoyed the dock out back. The distance to the beach was a quick walk. Overall a very nice property. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic House

We truly enjoyed our stay! The house was well stocked with all the dishes and utensils you would need. Well laid out bedrooms and bathrooms. John has done tons of updates with the home. Loved having water to see out of most windows. The lift made it so easy to unpack our luggage and groceries. Swim ladder on dock also big plus. Enjoyed kayaking and fishing. Easy 5 min walk to beach. Would absolutely return to this home

Great Vacation

Beach house was awesome , plenty of room , dock was great , short distance to beach. The owner had installed a lift which was a plus to bring in items into house Crabbing was great.

Wonderful place!!!

This home was spotlessly clean. Everything was as advertised or better. Thought Our group consisted of my elderly parents, my adult children, my granddaughter, and myself. We loved our accommodations. My granddaughter, especially loved the bunkbeds! Check in and communication with the host was perfect. Although we didn’t need to communicate with them because everything was so good. I wish I could give 4.5 stars instead of four. The only reason for four stars is because the property was a bit overgrown and needed a little outside maintenance. Otherwise it was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.
