Sea Loft | Newly Renovated, Beachfront!

Sea Loft was remodeled in 2021! Steps away from the beach your feet are in the sand just off the lower deck! Unique double primary suite design. Upstairs loft primary suite accessed by spiral stairway has a king bed with en suite bathroom and a flat-screen TV. The second primary located on the main floor has a queen bed with an en suite bathroom. Across the floor-plan, 2 other bedrooms will sleep 4 with a queen bedroom and a twin over twin trundle.

The roomy kitchen is open to the living and dining area. Beachfront views were galore! Decks for hanging out with family and friends. You are going to love this open airy concept with an electric stove and large refrigerator perfect for cooking up some memories they will always remember! Recently remodeled living spaces including 55"" flat-screen TV and new washer and dryer. Sorry no pets, owners are severely allergic to cats and dogs.

Sea Loft is located in Bermuda Beach Galveston and is conveniently only a minutes drive from activities at Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, Seawall, Pleasure Pier, and grocery stores.

Bermuda Beach has the best of both worlds, with a drive-on portion of the beach to the East of the neighborhood for those who prefer to drive their vehicle or golf cart and those with limited mobility and most of the beach in this neighborhood is walk-on only, ideal for families with little ones.

This vacation home should accommodate up to 4 vehicles to be parked at the property. Carpooling is highly recommended. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway or designated parking space. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns, yards or dune. Many HOAs do not allow parking for trailers, RVs, boats, etc. Please contact Ryson with any questions.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sea Loft. You cannot beat the direct access to the beach - just a short walk across from the driveway of the home. The views were amazing. The place was clean and spacious. Perfect for our family. The outside area under the house was a great place to grab some shade while still enjoying the breeze and sounds of the waves crashing. The porch was was wonderful as well with both shade and sun and plenty of seating. We really enjoyed our stay and hope we are lucky enough to return. Thank you!

Such an easy beach stay!

It was such an easy stay. We are low key vacationers when we are able to. This is not your high end fancy place. This is a home that feels lived in and it has most everything that you need for a stay and to cook all meals. We would bring an air fryer if we came again. You are very close to the beach and it so easy to go back for more drinks, food, or the bathroom.

Great location but house needs to be updated

The location can’t be beat. Close to downtown and steps from the beach. The house needs work and isn’t as updated as stated. This would be a five star place if things were refreshed. For example, the knob for the hose under the house was a rusted knob and could barely turn on esp without getting cut by it.

Great beachfront location on quiet beach

The location of this house was perfect for us. Mid August and the beach was quiet, NO CARS, and wonderful view sunrise to sunset. House was fine for our needs. The dishwasher was not working which was not a problem in itself but it was smelly so that was annoying but speaks more to the quality of the maid service than anything else. It should've been noticed and addressed before our stay.

Great location

Overall, my family had a great time at this home. We stayed with 6 adults and 4 kids ranging from 11 months to 15 years old. Pros- Great 1st row house. Clean. Unobstructed views of the ocean. Lots of space for family. The most comfortable chairs on the patio. (Wish there were more! Or maybe a swing or some hammocks.) Cons- Ancient washer and dryer with foul smell. The dishwasher, blender, and iron where also very very old. Light bulbs not working under home, which made it impossible to utilize that space after dark. Thank you for sharing your home. We had a great stay.

Beach vacay 2019

We enjoyed our time on the beach! The refrigerator had no shelves on the door so you could not store anything on the door of the refrigerator which made space limited! There were no blinds across the windows on the beach side which really heated up the house during the day! All of the blinds that were on the bedroom windows etc. had at least one or more slats broken so light would shine in! which was not great for those of us on vacation that like to sleep in a little later! And if you want more than one towel for a shower then bring your own! This house was run by a management company, not individuals… There were no extra towels, pillows, blankets or anything of that nature !!! Location was great!

As for the towels, we supply the number of towels to accommodate the maximum occupancy of the home, and there is a washer and dryer at the home. All linens are provided and beds are all made prior to your arrival. However, some guests prefer more towels and extra linens, and/or would rather not do laundry during their stay. In that case, bringing extra towels, pillows or blankets may be a helpful suggestion to future guests. Please contact us if there's anything else that we could have done, as we're always looking for ways to improve.

Perfect for a summer vacation to Galveston

My family and I really enjoyed this beach house! The kids were over the moon about the spiral staircase/loft. The home was so clean and very nice! Neighborhood was quiet and clean, and the beach wasn’t overly crowded which we loved. Steps away from the beach so we enjoyed the view, drinking our coffee on the balcony in the morning. And easy to haul our kiddos toys to the beach. Highly recommend, and I would love to return to the Sealoft one day!

Stuck in the Sand Driveway

The property was nice. The beds were comfortable. Location was nice. The only problems we had were - no covered parking,( we and our luggage and inside cars , got drenched packing up to leave on Thursday morning). Both our cars got stuck in the sand driveway. Someone came out and helped us get out and told us that we needed to water down the driveway. We were on vacation and did not come there to work!

We were really looking forward to this trip but had to cancel because my daughter got sick. I paid for insurance before hand just in case something like this happened. Now I cannot get anybody’s attention to get my money back. I did my part in buying insurance, paying the rent, notifying everyone, and sending in doctors notes. Now I’m not getting any help.

My experience staying at the Sea Loft recently

Let me start off by saying the good about this place, then I will share the reality of events. The good was the amazing oceanfront! That was just beautiful and relaxing. The drive to Town was also very convenient. Galveston was within 3 miles of the Sea Loft. Besides that the place Needs major renovation . But first day there, first morning I got up to cook and noticed pans and pots dirty. That was disappointing. Then to make matters worse, while cooking for my fam I noticed ants crawling on kitchen counter and floor! That was just very disgusting and unpleasant. Anyway, moving on.. The guest shower drain was backed up. The toilet in the same room not working. The room my son stayed in was very hot and there were no lights. I had to lend him a lamp from the loft bedroom where my husband and I stayed, so he could have light. Most ceiling fans were not working. The place smelled so bad. I had to run to town to buy scentsy so it could somewhat smell pleasant during our stay. The guest rooms floors were cracking when we stepped into rooms, the floors were so old it felt like we were going to fall right in to a hole. Very scketchy! One night I’m cooking dinner for my fam and all the lights began to flicker out of control. My husband said the whole electrical in that place is just “shotty”. The downstairs porch had a major leak, looked like part of the ceiling was going to collapse. My son slipped and almost fell while walking through that. It’s hard to avoid it since it’s just when u walk down the stairs to the porch. The hardest part was the AC not cooling the home during the day. We were so hot and miserable. I did reach out to Ryson about that situation as well as other issues but no one bothered calling me back. I was extremely disappointed that I was ready to end our summer vacation and drive back home. I had never been so disappointed in the quality of a rental like I was with this. I had to apologize to my husband for renting such a bad place. He reassured me That it was not my fault. That I got the place because of how nice the pics made it look. i did however read the reviews but I didn’t think it would be as bad as it really was. I will give a 2 star only because of the oceanfront. That was the main reason we rented that place. It was last minute and it was available. Now I see why. Anyway lesson learned. I will do my research next time to enjoy a future ocean front in Galveston from hones people that know how to appreciate customers!

Great location

Great location however the home was older and dated . The AC unit wouldn’t keep it cool in 90 plus temperatures . All this being said the location was why we rented it and we were pleased

Thank you for your review and feedback. It's rare that a beachfront or even near beachfront home with a South facing wall of windows to make it much cooler than 74-76 during the hot summer afternoon. However, if the house was much hotter than that, we sincerely do apologize, and we do have 24/7 maintenance and HVAC vendors that will come out the following day if ever an issue. Bermuda Beach - Great Vacation

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! Right on the beach. Overall, the property exceeded expectations. I knew it was an older property but, found it to be much nicer in person. The only real negative is the narrow winding staircase to the loft. Only for the young and thin! But, there is plenty of room downstairs. Kitchen was thoroughly stocked with any utensil, dish or pan you needed. Actually, a bit too much. It would be nice if some room was made in the cabinets for groceries. Had to leave everything we brought on the counter or table. Plenty of towels, washer and dryer worked great, hot water was good, AC kept it comfortable. Some other suggestions: *Improvements could be made to the "rinsing/showering" area downstairs. Relocated or removable shower head. *No key to the patio door which was very inconvenient. *More curtains or blinds, too bright for some to get rest. Would rent this property again!

Great location!!! There were enough bath towels and toiletries (consistent with what you would get at a hotel). A few light bulbs were out which had not been replaced. Other than that...all else was good.

The location of this beach house is wonderful. The house itself, however, left a bit to be desired. Many things were broken which caused me to have to take the time right up front to note things that were already in disrepair as soon as we got there. I had hoped the décor would be a bit more welcoming. But the house and décor were fine for our usage that weekend. The spiral stairway was a bit tight and potentially dangerous for some. The beds moved at night due to the wind and it being on stilts. This took a bit of getting used to. Plus, I was disappointed at all the fees that are tacked onto the rental that are non-refundable.

Fabulous view!!

We have stayed at Sea Loft twice. It is a very comfortable and well equipped condo. We had everything we needed and everything worked great. The kitchen and all bathrooms have been updated. The view of the Gulf from the deck, dining table and Master bedroom are breathtaking. The location is great because it is on the beach but only 12 minutes from shopping and restaurants. We expect to stay at Sea Loft again!!

Our Beach Front getaway

We love love love the Sea Loft, it's been one of our summer getaway destinations every year now for several years. We enjoy watching the sunrise in the mornings, grilling our redfish for lunch on Sunday after a long relaxing weekend. Grab the freshest fish available from the local market right down the street, stop by the Gypsy Joint, and don't forget those drinks at DTO. By the time we leave the Sea Loft we feel like local islanders, and we never had quite the same experience when we stayed in the hotel.

Ok, not great

I've been to Galveston a number of times throughout my life so I know what to expect when it comes to the beach and the beach houses. I gave only 2 stars as we did not get what we expected from the pictures and the expense. While the pictures of the place look nice there are a lot of things falling apart (washer, oven, closet doors). My biggest problem with this rental is that they don't tell you before you book that you will be required to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. TOILET PAPER?! I would prefer to pay 5 dollars more a night and have basic things you will need supplied. No soap to wash dishes, which, the washer took 4 hours to run and with a loft above made it challenging for sleep. There were no screens on the windows so we couldn't leave them open for the breeze and there were no curtains so we would be up very early every morning. The location is great and the house is actually waterfront and it was a place to stay while we were at the beach so that is why I would give it 2 stars. I would not recommend this property.

Dear Andrea, Thank you for your feedback on our property Sea Loft. We apologize for any inconvenience that occurred during your stay. To acknowledge one of your main concerns, the guest contract states, “Paper products will not be replenished. Ryson provides one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom and one roll of paper towels for the kitchen. Ryson also provides one dishwasher tablet to get you started. A small basket of toiletries is also provided for your convenience. Ryson also provides linens and towels for the number of people the ‘rental’ accommodates. Maid service is 1 time after you check out.” The maintenance team and the owner have addressed the items you listed in your review.
