We had the best girls’ trip staying at Casa Amapola. The property was exactly as shown in the listing, with five spacious bedrooms and incredibly comfortable beds that made it easy to relax and recharge after full days of exploring and enjoying the sunshine.The pool was truly the highlight of our stay. We spent hours lounging in and around it, and the gazebo was perfect for relaxing in the shade, and enjoying cocktails together in the evenings. The outdoor space created a fun, private resort-like atmosphere that made it hard to leave.Inside, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and snacks, which made group dining easy and enjoyable. The bath towels and beach towels were oversized and excellent quality — a thoughtful touch that didn’t go unnoticed. The home was very clean, well maintained, and felt both welcoming and comfortable from the moment we arrived.Jose was a wonderful host, and the entire experience was smooth and stress-free. This home was perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends, and we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The house is beautiful, spacious, very clean and well-equipped. The bedrooms are huge and have good air conditioning, lighting and huge windows with ocean views. Internet was fast and reliable. The patio, porch, living room and balconies offer a lot of space and comfortable furniture to hang out and enjoy the place and each other.The property came with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We just had to bring ourselves, clothing and food.The host did a great job communicating ahead of time and provided us with detailed and helpful instruction for everything. The key and fobs for house, beach and community access were very well organized and easy to use. The local beach is incredible and only a few steps away from the house. There two neighboring beaches are also awesome.We really enjoyed the local community, there are several great street food vendors, restaurants and parks around. We will 100% book this place again next time we visit southeastern PR.

We had a wonderful time! We plan to return to Puerto Rico again soon. The house and pool were all clean and everything that we had hoped for. The hosts, answered any questions and responded to emails promptly.

What a great house for our annual trip to Puerto Rico. Our family of 10 had the best time here. The pool was the biggest hit for the kids, they had a blast. The beach was down a hill, but you really can’t beat having a private beach to hang out at. This was our first trip to the SE side of Island. So beautiful with so many mountains. I would highly recommend visiting Casa Amapola as it has everything you need.

This vacation home was a beautiful getaway and excellent base for day trips around the island. One of my favorite rental homes so far in our global travels! The house is clean and generously furnished with all the basics and MORE. The location is close enough to grocery stores and Wal-Mart so it’s easy to run out and get everything else you want and need, but just far enough away to have that remote beach vibe. The beach is what a local explained as a “surfers beach”, and we didn’t play in the waves after seeing their intensity; BUT, there’s an area to the far left of the beach that is protected by huge rocks that provide a serene place to SAFELY swim and snorkel. Also, if you hike (in shoes only) past/around the rock wall to the far left you will find incredible seashells and rocks that lay untouched for a few hundred yards. Even our 10year old enjoyed that adventure! The hosts have curated this property to remind you of a secret garden. The pool is perfectly clean, and the deck/patio is full of chairs and anything you need for pool or beach play. They have all the towels you’ll need….the GOOD kind of towels that remind you of a high-end hotel. The beds are clean and comfortable. The washer/dryer was helpful since we travel with carry-on’s only. The hosts are wonderful and kind and answered all our questions quickly. Their home has a warm sense of peace and calm and that reflects how much love and care they’ve poured into it for their own family and friends.

An amazing house and host. Everything was perfect! Communication, amenities, dreamy beach and sky and views. Clean, comfortable, and everything we needed for three generations. And when the power went out the backup kicked right in. Might be our best vacation ever. Thank you!

The home was just as described. Neighborhood felt safe and neighbors were welcoming to guests. The view from the pool area is breathtaking. The beach is a short walk and all basic beach items were supplied. We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back. Great place to stay for the new Disc Golf facilities at Playa Lucia.

Where do I begin? The photos don't compare to how beautiful this house is. The pool and patio area were perfect. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were very clean. The kitchen had everything we could need and then some. Prior to our arrival José sent a detailed list of restaurants, grocery & convenient stores so we were able to eat and do some grocery shopping and were quickly settled as soon as we arrived. The only thing we didn't get to fully enjoy was the nearby beach. The waves were a little too rough for my toddlers. And the cove where the waves seemed calmer were a little bit of a walk down the beach. But we did make some day trips to other beaches and had a wonderful time. The house was able to comfortably accommodate my whole family

Oh my goodness, we had such a wonderful stay at Casa Amapola! The home was clean, well stocked, and perfect for our family. We enjoyed the beautiful kitchen to make breakfast in, swam in the pool at night, and had great sleep in the spacious bedrooms. Our hosts were so warm and quick to communicate with. It’s clear they put alot of love into this home. We hope to stay again next time in PR!

Family Vacation

We traveled with a group of 9 for our family vacation, 5 adults and 4 kids with ages ranging from 8-13. The home was perfect for all of us. The gated community was beautiful, people were friendly and the home itself couldn’t have been any better. They were stocked with games for the kids, pool accessories for both the kids & adults, the kitchen had everything we needed & the backyard was an absolute oasis. They even provided a Bluetooth speaker and a basket of sun tan lotions, oils and aloe, which I thought was awesome (it’s the little things !) . We had perfect weather except for one day, and even on the rainy day we could still sit outside under the covered portion enjoying the beautiful view. The hosts were extremely responsive and were quick to help with any questions that had come up. My family and I have already discussed returning. If you’re planning a family trip this house has it all, the bedrooms, bathrooms, backyard, short walk to a private beach, pool in the backyard, gated community, fully equipped home, and it was extremely clean.

This property is amazing. House, pool and the beach a short walk away. Jose has thought of everything. The check in and check out was easy. Coolers, beach chairs, fishing poles, towels you name it. Recommendations for dinner and places to visit. Very responsive with questions. Will definitely be back.

This House Has it All

My family and I were thoroughly impressed with this property. From the check in instructions, to all the thoughtful amenities in the home, there is nothing I can complain about. This house has it all for every age. The owners were phenomenal with communication, the neighborhood is nice and quiet in a gated community, the beach is just a few steps away, and the views are incredible. I look forward to staying there again.

Spacious and Relaxing

Everything you need is here, down to the littlest details. Walking distance to the beach, rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The home is very clean and well taken care of. The only downfall were the stray cats. Apparently, the guests before us fed them and they were very persistent and one managed to make its way inside. This was a problem as I'm severely allergic. Please do not feed the cats, there are signs that state that.

Beautiful home in a great location!

We stayed at Casa Amapola for our 2025 family summer vacation, and it was the perfect location! Not in touristy area of PR, in quiet, gated community. Super short walk to the beach. Very reasonable driving distance to many awesome activities - our favorites were snorkeling up in Fajardo and hiking in El Yunque. House was as described / pictured and had everything we needed. Hosts had great communication. Highly recommend!

Our stay in Paradis

We spent 4 nights in this beautiful house and had a memorable time. The pictures and listing are accurate yet still exceeded our expectations.All the bedrooms are upstairs. One bathroom downstairs and one upstairs. It was 8 adults and two children and we fit comfortably. The outdoor area is the highlight and where we spent most of our time. The sound of the ocean as you're relaxing and spending time with family is unforgettable. The beach is private and only a few minute walk away. The owners are responsive and gracious. They've thought of everything and the house reflects that. This was our first time in Puerto Rico and Im so grateful I chose this property!

50th Wedding Anniversary

Our two adult children, their spouses and our two teen grandchildren joined my husband and myself for our week long celebration. The house was fabulous and adequately equipped for dining in, enjoying the pool or nearby unpopulated delightful beach. The five bedrooms made it so the grand gals didn’t have to share a room and they liked that as well.We particularly enjoyed being outside of San Juan and getting a feel for life across the island.Many thanks to our hosts.

Amazing home

This house was absolutely beautiful. We loved everything. Beach and bath towels provided, plenty of other resources provided such as pool floats, beach chairs, information about the area, air conditioning, fans, etc. THE KITCHEN WAS WELL STOCKED TOO. We Found a fabulous grocery store (Ralph’s) near by. The home was over an hour away from Old San Juan, the rainforest, rum tours, etc but it was located in a great and safe area. We loved it here!
