Pamela was very helpful with all kinds of "need to know" information before and during our stay. When things came up she was quick to remedy the situation. The condo was clean, well furnished, and included things we did not pack in our luggage like an ice chest. We visited at a time when there was a lot of sargassum (seaweed) washing up on the beach each day. This meant that playing in the waves or walking the beach near the condo was out. We did not let that ruin our vacation! There are still beautiful sights to see and fun things to do! We explored the ruins of Tulum, swam in the Aktun Chen cenote, did ziplines and swam in another cenote at Xcaret, took the ferry over to Cozumel to go snorkeling (the sargassum only affect half of the island), and wandered the shops of Playa. The condo still has an amazing view and was very comfortable! We would definitely like to return!

Lori, it was so fun to meet you and your family in person and you guys had such a great attitude about the seaweed issue and realized that the Catan is consistently rated as one of the very best travel destinations in the world because not just the beaches but because of the cenote‘s, the Mayan ruins, the finest pedestrian mall anywhere in North America with entertainment and great food, and excellent exploration and adventure things to do such as a TV and zip lining. Fisherman’s itself has on site fun activities for Guest beautiful pools, a fabulous staff, a fitness center, and a spa….. but you guys did it right by researching fun things to do! Thank you for your great review and I would love to have you return when there’s no seaweed which should happen by October and beyond!!! sincerely Pamela

Everything met and exceeded expectations. Beautiful townhouse, well furnished, in a fabulous setting. Quiet and uncrowded beach but a short walk into town. The views from the unit are spectacular and the property manager, Gabe, is very responsive and so helpful with everything from recommendations to setting up side trips. One day he took my wife and me to Chichen Itza and his wife and daughter took us out to dinner one night to one of his favorite restaurants. The owner, Pamela, is a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this property.

Thank you so much for your kind review and Gabe is a very special property manager as he loves his job and connecting with my guests and often arranges private tours for our guests! Sometimes they want to see the Mayan ruins, private cenotes, a snorkel tour with just their family or other adventure. This is ideal for the guests that don’t like crowded tour buses and control of when their tour starts and ends.

Great condo at Fisherman’s!

Well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture and beautiful view. Nicest condo I have rented at Fisherman’s!

Best Vacation

Had the best time. Property Manager and Owner were so easy to get in contact with to answer any questions. Hotel staff was very friendly. Condo was clean and had great internet access. Easy check in and out with hotel staff. Beach was great and close to town.

Awesome Playacar location

Location was the best...close to lots but quiet and secluded. Amazing views, friendly staff and great beach! Pamela was great to work with and very accommodating. Would come back again!

Perfect Vacation!

Absolutely love this property! The ocean is gorgeous, the walk to town is through a beautiful neighborhood, the property has great amenities, and quiet at night. The condo unit had everything we needed, the water service was very convenient. Wonderful trip. Hope to visit again!

Wonderful!

This property was exactly as described. It was phenomenal waking up every morning to the ocean views and having the convenience of the the adjoining hotel if we needed it. The propery manager, Gabe, was also so helpful in assisting us in our travel plans around the area. My kids and I had a great time.

Roomy and nice condo.

Great location on the beach and the condo was clean and bright. Didn't have any problems with late music as a few others have stated in the reviews.

Summer 2024

Property was exactly as advertised. Great communication with the owner and with the onsite property manager made the process seamless. The condo is located in a quaint resort with nice restaurant and amenities. All in all a great accommodation and a wonderful week.

This was an excellent place to stay. The house was in good working order, met the expectations from the pictures and the AC worked perfectly for an August visit with no issues. When we needed help with items Gabriel stepped in and got us everything we needed. In addition Gabriel set us up with multiple trips and was always available to answer any questions ans was integral to us having a great trip. When you book ask for Gabriel’s WhatsApp to get info before you come he is full of good info. The facilities are super nice and even though we have sargassum to deal with it was a beautiful place and was very kid friendly.

Truly an outstanding choice to vacation! Pamela's penthouse was perfect! Our concierge contact Gabe was super friendly, helpful, and responsive. We got a ride from him on return to the airport for our departure, very great guy! The penthouse was wonderfully clean upon our arrival, thanks to Gabby! We really had everything we needed there on site. The resort staff were all very personable and polite. Dinner at the resort restaurant is delicious, the menu changes nightly so that's a cool switch up. Breakfast and lunch are great too! If we didn't want to eat on site, the resort is a perfect location for walking to the paseo and local restaurants scene, you can easily get a taxi for travels a bit further away. Strolling up and down the beach is lovely. The views are priceless!Overall would recommend Pamela's place to anyone looking to have a phenomenal vacation experience.

Dream Spring Break Trip

Pamela and Gabriel were awesome! Suite was just as advertised. Cannot even begin to describe the view in a way that would do it justice. Hearing the waves from the suite was so relaxing. Beach and pool were both fantastic and not at all crowded. No issue getting chairs. We had a great time exploring the city. Will most certainly be back some day!

Its nice but not fancy. The stated price does not include maid service or cleaning fees. Senior crowd when we were there and they reserve pool lounges starting at 6:30 am.am.

Wonderful Vacation Rental

Lovely location in a peaceful and secure neighborhood. The space was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff was absolutely fantastic and just a pleasure to be around. Pamela has really thought of everything from the taxi service from the airport to include a stop at the grocery store to the included bottled water delivered right to the condo as needed. The view from the condo is absolutely stunning. This place is a gem and we will definitely be back!!

Perfect getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay at Pamela’s. From before we even booked she was very helpful and responsive. A very clean quiet beach is just the past very well kept pools. The property staff and condo manager were warm and accommodating. If you like the idea of having your own kitchen and living space and two separate bedrooms, this is a great alternative to a hotel room! And the sunrise from the balcony or beach is well worth getting up for.

Great place!

We loved it here; the views are incredible, just perfect! The staff is so friendly. I cannot think of anything negative to say, everything was excellent! It was just the two of us for a big place so I used the downstairs bedroom and bathroom for my clothes and to get ready which turned out really helpful. The condo has incredible views from each level. Loved it!

Loved it - hope to stay there again!

Our family of four loved our stay -- the condo is the perfect size with 2.5 baths and 2 bedrooms (a very spacious master with a great view.) The pool area is very nice along with an extremely friendly, service-minded staff. We also received excellent, prompt communication with the property manager as well as Pamela, the owner. Just one thing that brought my rating to a 4-star in terms of the listing -- I asked at the concierge about using the paddle boards/water toys and they said they didn't have anything for the water. Not a huge deal, but we were hoping to kayak or paddleboard. Otherwise it was a nearly perfect vacation -- highly recommend this property and area!

Hi Amy! So sorry for the confusion but the concierge you spoke to doesn’t work for Fisherman’s village and she sells only outside activities like tours and Xceret trips. The ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR on site wears a bright red tee shirt and he/she works for Fisherman’s and can set you up with bikes, kayaks and Hobie Cats! Glad the rest of your trip was great!

Nice property

Everything was good. Disappointed they told us Hobie cat couldn’t be used. That was one of main reasons I chose this property. Food and drinks were very high and maid service more tha advertised on VRBO.

Yes, prices have increased everywhere in the world unfortunately. The prices in Fishermans for lunch are on par with eating out at Chipotle or Panera bread or less…so for sit down table service, I’m still impressed with the value proposition! In 2024, I had to change property managers, maids and use an outside delivery service for a much higher price plus the costs of cleaning supplies, toilet paper, shampoo and such went up as the inflation did not just hit the USA but also Mexico. But basically two maid services for a 2 BR/2Bth place for about $100 total is at least 1/2 or more of what it would be in a US resort area. But I will make sure that any amounts advertised online are updated. I hope you had fun in our beachfront paradise! Pamela
