The music is very loud at night. Internet is weak at night when clubs are packed. TV's have Roku and no instructions on how to make it work. Stayed 4 nights and could not get TV to work. Contacted owner and she suggested I try 4 fixes that did not work. She then suggested I drive to Destin and go to a movie if I wanted to watch movies. I requested a maintenance person to come and see if they could get the TV's working and she stopped communicating with me. A man showed up in our window working on the AC and left a giant plastic bag and bucket to catch drips on our small patio. The area has been bought out by Alvin's Island and no longer has the artsy local feel it used to have. Sunrise coffee was one the best things about Gulf Place and now it is a basic chain coffee shop run by Alvin's Island. The garbage cans outside the shops smelled awful the last two days. The Gulf Place area is not the same.

Great!!

Check in was easy. Very clean. Exactly as described. Cannot beat beach access. Loved the free laundry. Proximity to amenities was great. Only issue was couldn’t figure out the tvs but probably on us.

Quick summer escape

We had such a lovely stay at this condo at Gulf Place— excellent location with close proximity to many restaurants and bars, and right across the street from the beach! Cute and cozy, we loved staying here and hope to be back soon! Judith was super communicative with every aspect of our stay.

Beautiful condo

The condo was so great! Just the right size for my myself and my husband. Super clean and decorated beautifully. The shops under the condo units were nice to have and there were multiple restaurants within walking distance. The balconies are small. I don’t think there is room for 2 chairs on each one and unfortunately there was work being done on ours midweek, which made them unusable. It was not planned and the owner was not aware until I told her. Other than that, everything was great! I would definitely stay again!

This was our second time staying at this unit. We had a wonderful experience the first time, which is why we chose to return. Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to our expectations.While the unit appeared clean at first glance, it clearly needs a deep cleaning. The ice machine was unusable due to a buildup of debris and floating gunk, the Keurig machine was dirty, fridge need to be wiped down. There was also mold on the patio door, which was concerning. By the time we left, the unit was cleaner than when we arrived.Another issue was the internet, which was down from our arrival on Wednesday until Friday. This was particularly problematic as my husband works remotely and had to finish up some last minute work. Additionally, we were not informed of ongoing construction on the property. Starting at 8 a.m. each day, loud hammerdrill to remove tile made it very difficult to relax. Notices in the elevator indicated owners were informed in advance—we were not.Other smaller but frustrating issues included a TV in the bedroom that couldn’t be used due to corroded batteries in the remote, and beach chairs that were rusted and broken.We really wanted this to be another great stay like last time.On a positive note I do love the location. Walking distance to the beach and shops.

The location was great for the beach. We loved that we could just walk across the street for beach access and it was great to have chairs and an umbrella in the unit for use as well. The unit was clean and comfortable.

Great condo in a great location

The pictures are accurate for the inside of the property. The location is Better than you think. You're looking at 30a and walk across the street to get to the beach. There are serval good places to eat and drink downstairs in Gulf Place. Judith is a great hostess

Great location! Cute & clean!

We were happy to be there after the holiday crowds had left. Overall, loved the convenience of the beach access, restaurants & stores, but agree with Melissa R's review regarding the lack of a useable closet & no freezer. Not deal breakers but maybe add some wall hooks in the bedroom & specify no freezer available. Condo was really cute & very clean!

Great location!

It is the perfect location! Beach access is literally steps away, restaurants, farmers market, night life, great for morning/evening walks! The condo is great for 2 ppl but would be very tight for any more. No closet space for hanging clothes and the listing says ice maker-which there is but it’s a countertop one and doesn’t produce much ice and no place to store any or anything frozen. But overall it’s the best location and a cute condo! We had a great weekend!

Yacht Rock Revue Getaway

Wonderful place with such a beautiful decor. It is a ideal place to stay to get away and be able to have quick access to the beach and hearing music outside your balcony window. Also having access to the pool and close by restaurants without having to drive is an added bonus. Be sure to stop by Pecan Jack’s for homemade ice cream and candy and going to the Red Bar for dinner in Grayton Beach is a must also. Will definitely come back again. Again, ideal for us. Property host was so quick to respond to any questions we had …..which is always appreciated.

Gulf Place

I was very disappointed that we didn’t receive any prior notice that there would be no elevator to use. I have bad knees and would have made other arrangements if we had more notice. I feel we should have received a discounted rate for the inconvenience. Otherwise our stay was lovely.

Clean, Comfortable, & Convenient Location

Loved the convenient location across from the public beach access and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We used three of the pools which were all nice. Happy to have the option of the heated pool and hot tub. Very clean and nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. Beach chairs to use was appreciated.

Gulf Place Corner

The condo is daring. It provided what we needed, closeness to the beach and a view of the Gulf though small due the palm trees growth. Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn’t cooperate with the weather. Rainy & cold. The heater kept clicking off but were fine. Traffic was heavy at intersection + fire & police activity. Shower leaks from the fixed door at the tub on to floor. Thank you !
