Great property close to town. Rooms are separated from main living room/kitchen area, which was excellent for our party with some early risers and others who preferred staying in bed late. The pool was refreshing and the outdoor and covered dining area was good for morning and evening meals (although it could be a bit warm for lunch). Host was responsive and the property instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Rather contemporary layout. Bugs everywhere indoors until we bug bombed all spaces then it got better. No means to layout suitcases or hang clothes (no hangers). Never felt safe with the sliding door locks. Pool was cold (not heated) Location was excellent. Property mgr was responsive. Probably a good deal but won't be back. Lots's of other options. Dryer venting dumps CO into kitchen/dining area so don't sleep in there while using the propane dryer. Washer is very old school.

Thanks for your review, we will check about the hangers, there is a furniture for each bedroom, pool is not advertised as heated, about the dryer is not located close by to any of the bedrooms and it is totally separated to the sleeping areas.

We didn’t really use the pool. The house set up was great with the bedrooms having their owns separate access. The location was wonderful. If you rented a car there are many activities nearby. There is also a supermarket right down the road as well for supplies for the house. It was clean and we felt safe. Woke up to horses and cows graining in the field behind us. The view of the volcano was amazing.

This was a great property and the managers were very helpful. We had an issue with two different alarm systems that were controlled by two different entities and it briefly disrupted our first hour of our stay, but it was reconciled quickly. My only complaint was the "smart house" feature that required a chipped card be inserted into a "pocket" inside the house for the air conditioners to work. No card inserted, no air conditioning. The card was attached to the keys to the house via a cable that would require require permanent destruction of the cable to separate them. This means that if you left the house, you could not leave the air conditioner running while you did activities during the day. You would come back to a HOT house. The other option was to leave the card inserted in the "pocket" but you would not be able to arm the alarm. There was (during our stay) a work around that allowed you to leave AC on and lock house but no ability to arm the alarm. This proved very frustrating.

Thanks for your review! The card system works to safe electricity, all A/C units work very good so in 10 to 15 minutes our guests will have a cool house.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, however the kitchen did lack some basics, we ended up eating out more than we thought we would. The couches were quite uncomfortable and the lighting was stark. The pool was great to have but not recommended for very young children as it did not have a shallow end.

Property was nice. Not private enough as there is a new building under construction next door and someone was there every day watching us come and go. The host was friendly, helpful, and on time. The view of the volcano was beautiful. The grounds were beautiful as well. Location is close to everything - breakfast, coffee, dinner, groceries - even tours along the same road.

Terrific home. Host was responsive and helpful. Home was lovely, clean and very conveniently located. Close to everything but far enough away to be peaceful. Only downside was construction on home next door. Obviously not the host’s fault. For the most part it was fine but one afternoon the workers music was very loud.

Perfect location! We loved staying at Villa Arthur. The house is very close to town, which makes it very convenient when going out to dinner. It is very close to many of the activities in La Fortuna. The house is only six minutes from the waterfall and short drive to other attractions. We were mostly on the go and not at the house very long, but did enjoy the outdoor area. Our last night we ordered takeout pizza so we could enjoy the outdoor area by the pool. There is a wonderful table for dining and gathering. We appreciated all the recommendations by the concierge service. The house was clean and had all that we needed.

Spotless accommodations terrific location!

Stellar Location, seriously amazing to wake up to the sound of monkeys and literally at the base of the beautiful volcano Arenal!! I have a mold allergy and I was very pleased that this place was very clean and with lots of fresh air available. Highly recommend.
