Linda's Beach Shack is located in the heart of Virginia Beach, is just 1 block from the oceanfront. It has easy access to the 31st Street entertainments and nearby eateries, including a pub and a great Harris Teeter salad bar and grocery store. The layout provides a comfortable living room, a spacious dining area for 6, and a convenient bar for 4 off the kitchen. Sleeping accommodations include two bedrooms: an ensuite master bedroom with a queen-size bed and a second bedroom with a pyramid bunk bed and a trundle bed. A pull-out sleeper sofa is located in the living room. The kitchen and bathrooms have been modernized and fully equipped. Stainless steel appliances and granite countertops enhance the kitchen. The accommodations, two TV's, the beach, and the swimming pool ensure a delightful vacation retreat for the whole family. * No pets, no smoking. Weekly rentals, Saturday to Saturday only*

Identification must be furnished upon request and Tenant is required to sign lease agreement with Agent which will be emailed upon booking. The occupancy limit, as stated in Agent's advertising, cannot be exceeded. Occupancy count includes children. Violation of the above is grounds for immediate eviction with forfeiture of all rent and damage deposit paid.

Short but worthy stay

Overall our stay was great! We had guest ranging from ages 6 to 50 and the area, location and neighborhood were overall worth the stay. The only negative we could think of was the strict rules of the apartment complex as well as there was half a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and no extra paper towels so we were stuck purchasing those items when we arrived. We seemed to not be the only guest with this issue as we ran into 2 other people with the same grievance. Location to the beach was spot on, again overall our stay was worth it for such a short stay.

We enjoyed the location of this vacation rental. It was within walking distance to the beach, several restaurants, and a grocery store, which made everything very convenient. The kitchen was also well stocked with all the cookware and utensils we needed to prepare meals.The biggest downside was that the homeowner had the thermostat locked, and we couldn’t lower the air conditioning below 73F. After contacting the rental company, who were fantastic to work with and very responsive, they were eventually able to get the homeowner to lower the setting—but only to 72F. Even then, the house was still too warm for us, and we ended up purchasing fans just to be comfortable during our stay.I had read in previous reviews that toilet paper and trash bags were not provided, so I expected to bring extras. However, I was surprised that there wasn’t even a single trash bag in the kitchen trash can or an extra roll of toilet paper to get us started. Be sure to bring these items with you if you stay here.The condominium pool was another disappointment. It’s quite small, and although it’s intended for guests of the condominium only, there’s an unlocked side gate that allows anyone to access it, making it much more crowded than expected.Overall, the location is the biggest selling point of this property. However, the inability to control the air conditioning was a significant issue for us, and because of that, we would not choose to stay here again.
